@emilyn3ver is a damn cool lady and they are curating a not-for-profit fanzine celebrating Go Nagai’s Devilman.
Here is a little preview of my submission which is a 4 page short featuring Violence Jack and Mao Dante…because I’m one of the worst :D
Go check out the progress at @devilmanzine

Hi! I'm considering submitting something to the zine but I'm just curious of a few things. I would like to know: 1) What will happen to the zine once it's printed: who is going to sell it, where, at what price, and where will go the benefits? 2) Do artists get a percentage of said benefits? 3) Will artists be credited and be guaranted to keep the exclusive rights over their pieces (no reuse outside of the zine or zine promotion w/o authorization)? Thank you!
Hey!Getting this question a lot so I’ll try and break it down.Essentially this is a not for profit zine, I, the curator, Emily N3ver will of course be selling a small run to recoup the costs I spend on printing and shipping the zine. Zines will be available online (I will publish the link once we go live) and also in a select few good zine stockers. Artists are invited to submit as many pieces as they like without having to put any money towards printing, pretty neat, huh? In addition to this they will each be sent their own copy for free. If the artist would like more copies to sell themselves they can keep whatever profit they make from them provided the cover the cost of having a bundle of zines shipped out to them, sound good? I know a lot of other group curated zines ask artists to buy the copies themselves at cost price.
Artists retain full ownership of their own material. They will be credited with all their artist bio and relevant websites printed as well, based on whatever they’re comfortable with promoting. After I’ve made back the money I’ve spent I probably wont print any more unless there's a special demand for them
