Quick PSA:

Going to be a little wait for the next The Intimacies of Being Loved chapter

Not only do I have to recover from Sinsmas, as I'm sure most of you do, but with the holidays I have other commitments and I'm steadily working on an original work too.

The next chapter is 95% written, just needs an ending and some refining, so it'll be up in the new year!

I'm also incredibly worried about the direction season 3 is gonna take...

Throughout the episode we see Blitz truly opening himself to the possibility and likelihood of a life of being loved, a relationship with Stolas.

And then at the end he seems completely open. Not saying the words, not yet, but acting them out.

And then we have Stolas ...

Not reciprocating fully. Shutting down, falling deep into his depression with every little realisation.

Completely summarised in this frame:

He doesn't return Blitz's embrace and that terrifies me that the next season is going to follow the "he fell too late" trope and Stolas pulls away for most of the season.

I get that he's going to need time and support to overcome the sheer trauma the last few episodes have piled on him and to recover from the depressive pit he's just fallen into but ...

Please, PLEASE, VIVZIE, GIVE THEM SOME TRUE, FULLY RECIPROCATED HAPPINESS, I BEG YOU

I would literally give you the world just for a mini arc of them being utterly adorable idiots 100% in love on both sides in the first half of the season. Please please please don't make it take a whole season for them to get them both to a happy place together!

does anyone else remember how bellarke was built up so beautifully for 6 seasons and then it just. didn't happen? in fact the showrunner hated the fans so much he made clarke kill bellamy !!

that was a thing that happened.

and then the chemistry was so good the actors got married and said fuck that show. good for them

Lets take a moment to acknowledge how these two:

Have spent YEARS listening to how much people HATE Blitz. Oz heard about Fizz's hate for blitz for 15 YEARS and Bee supplies alcohol for Verosika's Anti-Blitzo party.

and yet THEY STILL VOTED TO HEAR HIM OUT.

It was time to start trying to be somewhat functional demons and maybe, eventually, they'd have a relationship strong enough to ... Well, be an actual relationship.

I just had a look at my AO3 stats for this year and OMG WTF

For a writer who's barely managed to write a word for about 7 years ... I'm blown away by the fact an animated show about demons in Hell reawakened my creative muses AND so many people have enjoyed what I've written, as obvious as my writing rust is to me.

I'm just in absolute awe.

It was funny.

Blitz and Stolas had spent so many hours in bed together that they should be comfortable with each other. They’d seen each other exposed, naked and spread. They’d bitten, sucked, licked, fucked every single point they could on each other – well, almost – but right now, stood staring at each other in the room, neither knew what to say or do.

AKA. Blitz and Stolas actually start to talk for the first time since Verosika's party.
