Oh, Newt? No, he’s not here and has been gone for quite some time.”

OH DUDE, GUYS, GUYS, I FINALLY DID IT. I finally succeeded in making gifs of Burn Gorman’s exact money only face, the predecessor to Burn Gorman’s phone book face. Sorry the quality’s not exactly Blu-Ray, but they get the point across. Heh. I honestly can’t even decide which one is more hilarious — this, or the phone book face.

"I do, but remember that it can be broken...If anything bad were to happen because of Doctor Lecter, I....I don't know if we could carry on as friends."

He hated having to say that, but he was really afraid for Eldon here. This man was not to be trusted and it was a little odd how willing Eldon had become. Still, despite saying that, he care for Eldon a lot. Hell, if anything, he only just figured out he liked him a bit too much.

Perhaps, he thought. I'm finally putting the pieces together on this whole love business...

Hermann breaks the hug, looking at Eldon for a minute. Silence washes over them, his cheeks turning bright pink. "I know this is a bit out of character for me, but..."

Hermann than leans in to give Eldon a soft kiss on the cheek. It was quick and painless, but the action was strong and holding.

"I think you can tell where my feelings for you are leaning." Hermann pulls away from him completely, turning to leave the lab. Before he does, he looks over his shoulder, smiling.

"You're important to me Eldon....And I'd hate to lose you."

Eldon was definitely startled when his chin was lifted, but not resistant. He’d learned (perhaps courtesy of Dr. Lecter) not to be stubborn about being moved. 

“You trust me?”

That was somehow more surprising than being hugged, although that definitely scared the hell out of him. His fingers twitched and he almost, almost jerked away, moreso for Hermann’s benefit than his own. 

But he didn’t. Because he couldn’t allow himself to. Rather, he returned the gesture, clasping his arms awkwardly around the other man and sort’ve stiffly patting his back. "I, uh—I’m glad. I’m glad you trust me, Hermann." 

And now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"That is highly unfair...but I can't do much about it, can I Miss Lewis? You win."

"Because I said so. You’ll have to redeem your booping privileges."

He feigns a pout, trying so hard not to laugh. "If you can boop me, why can't I boop you?"

"You booped me without permission too. Can you at least buy me dinner first? Isn't that the proper protocol for these things?"

"What’s wrong with you? You can’t hate on Bill Nye. No booping, no!" She swats at his hand, slapping it.

"Not to be mistaken by that notorious Bill Nye the Science Guys. He wishes he had my intellect."

He cringes when she boops his nose, but just laughs and does the same in return.

"I graduated top of my class."

"…In political science, but whatever. You try chomping down Middle Eastern political theory. Edward Said will melt your brain. And thanks! I like you, too, science-guy." She boops his nose.
