In addition to the one time check, the US has also increased unemployment benefits by $600 per week. For many people, this means they're making more than they were when employed.

It's weird that there's apparently all sorts of Americans "frothing at the mouth" in the replies, but this dude decided to reply to the two guys clearly making a joke.
Maybe it's a cultural thing. To all the Europeans reading this: if you jokingly insult an American, they're probably going to jokingly insult you back. That doesn't mean we "can't take a joke." That's *how* we take a joke.
Also, pro tip: if you want people to stop mocking you for spending the better part of fifty years failing to take over the world, stop being ashamed of your history. Jokes only work if they get a reaction. Usually that reaction is laughter, but anger works just as well.

Always be suspicious of foiled terrorist attacks. The FBI has a history of convincing people to become terrorists so they can swoop in and foil the attack they basically orchestrated.
Also the train guy was named Eduardo Moreno, so I'm not sure it belongs in a post about white supremecy.

This $2.75 fare increase they throw around up there is a lie. The total fare is $2.75 for a single ride, and that did not change. The 7 day pass went up a dollar (32->33) and the 30 day pass went up $5 (122->127). They did get rid of a 5% bonus if you preloaded your card, which technically dropped the cost of a single pass by about 15¢, the 7-day pass by $1.60, and the 30 day pass by $6.10
So per day, the fair increase is about 37¢.
Prior to this last increase, it went from $2 in 2010 to $2.25 in 2013, then $2.50 in 2015. In 2015, the 7-day pass was $31 and the 30-day was $116.50. So from 2015, including the 5% bonus, the daily price increase has been 51¢.
They can protest if they want, but let's not pretend transit costs have suddenly just ballooned. They aren't protesting that the prices are too high. They're protesting that the prices exist at all.

Look at those proud Chinese citizens guarding lost bikes. They've been at it so long they've fallen asleep.
It's enough to make Winnie The Pooh cry, if Supreme Leader were capable of such things.

It's important to remember donating the milk would also be expensive. It has to be pasteurized and whatever else the government requires, plus packaged and transported. Many of these farmers probably can't afford to do all that considering their income has been destroyed.

This is capitalism's vast irrationality and inhumanity in action. Markets and The Economy™ matter more to capitalism than the concrete distribution of resources according to tangible human need.
Resources exist in abundance -- give them to people. Housing sits empty -- give it to people. The rules of the feast table should apply to our economic system -- no one gets seconds until everyone has gotten a plate.
We stand at a crossroads in these chaotic times: socialism or barbarism! The ruling class repeatedly chooses the latter. We need to organize and choose the former!

Why would cops be shooting bats?
people, for years and years: if there’s a zombie outbreak, go to the local Costco and use it as a fortress since it has both supplies and cement walls
the now proven truth: bro, they won’t even have toilet paper by then, go hide with the hicks in the woods who know how to skin a deer and make whiskey from scratch like a smart person

I also remember people saying Disco had the first Asian Captain, because Captain Sulu doesn't exist. And the first female captain because Captain Janeway doesn't exist.
People were upset about the amnesia, not the characters.
Conservatives from the 60s: I can’t watch Star Trek, I don’t want to watch an asian man or a black woman in a professional role on my TV! Damn liberals! I can’t watch a show that promotes integration!
Conservatives in 2017: I can’t watch Star Trek, I don’t want to watch an asian woman captain or a black lead actress on my TV! Damn sjws! I can’t watch a show that promotes racial diversity!
