Info about submissions + Notice
Feel free to submit a suggestion about abandoned places I should look into and post about, I’ll be happy to learn about new places and share it with you all! I’ll write about anywhere in the world as long as it is abandoned and I can find enough info on it. How fast I’ll post the suggestion depends on what’s currently going on in my life, but I’ll look into anything that fits the short criteria I listed
Please note: I feel it is necessary to say this, so I will. On this blog I will be sharing research on many places that cannot be visited, and sometimes I may have a story or two of my own about my own experience at said location. However, I do not condone trespassing of these areas.

A bit about me!
Name: Geist Age: 19 Gender: She/her Interests: Abandoned places of course, but also Bugsnax (current hyperfixation along with abandoned places), drawing, writing, gaming, cooking/baking, music and horror movies Favorite music artists: Korn, Skillet, The Beatles, Nine Inch Nails, Seth Parker, Get Scared, Lund, Foreign Forest, and more How I got into abandoned places: When I was around 9, my family went to a water park, and across the lake was an abandoned amusement park my dad went to when he was a teenager. When we were on top of a platform in line for a waterslide he pointed it out, and I thought it was amazing and was instantly hooked and have been since!
Note: I am professionally diagnosed with OCD, depression and social anxiety, and I often struggle to socialize. I’m happy to reply to any submissions/questions etc, but if I come off as very awkward or otherwise standoffish in tone, I don’t intend to! I just get very anxious talking to others, even online
A small list of some of my all time favorite locations I’ve researched that will definitely appear on this blog: Cheshire & Kyger Ohio, Chippewa Lake Amusement Park in Ohio, New Orleans Six Flags, Pripyat Ukraine, Warner and Swasey Observatory in Ohio, and many others!
Also, just for fun: Some of my favorite locations that aren’t abandoned but have an interesting/dark history that are absolutely worth checking out: Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio, Lowe Hotel in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and the State Theater, also in Point Pleasant
My main blog is @nightgeist, where I post art, reblog stuff I like, and more, so feel free to follow me there too!
