Playing around with another au, this time for a Monsters au that @desertparallel started!

Haru is a magic construct that was built to help or neutralize monsters as needed. He's 100% nonliving, he doesn't need to eat or sleep or even breathe, and yet I make him fall in love regardless

Before he was a construct Haru was a court mage in Kalos who's magic was used to help build the ultimate weapon. For his hubris he was cursed to spend eternity trapped in a magic mirror, and after 3000 years-- rather 30 years before present they managed to pull his consciousness out of the mirror.

But inside the mirror he's still the monster he was cursed to be.

He's inspired a little bit the Sphynx from Dragons Dogma 2, Peacocks, Be not Afraid, and the spice of his face being a mask and his real mouth being terrifying.

The rest of villains exists in 'Volo's perfect world' or he deleted them?

They do exist!! They're just normal people, doing normal person jobs... for the most part?

I haven't decided if Volo would let Lydandre exist or not. on the one hand, his world is supposed to be this perfect, ideal place where everyone gets a chance to be happy

but on the other hand it would feel so good to wipe out the person who hurt gene

BUT on the other other hand, if he even wiped the slate clean and erased + replaced gene's dearest friends, how could he indulge the impulse to act selfishly there?

and on the final hand (this is a machamp), who is he to judge what Lysandre did in another life when gene's demise was his own fault in the end?

Bad end Volo really said “Consequences? In my new world?” It’s more likely than you think

Bad End Volo literally executed his lover and then said "is anyone going to recreate him from my memories so that I can traumatize him again/more" and didn't wait for an answer 😔

Bad End V origins (part 2)

Of course, this isn't the whole truth... Volo had wiped the world clean to start over from scratch, so the Alolan League Office he introduces "Gene" to is only a recreation from observing their lives as they once were.

But he had already gone as far as getting rid of Gene, so he couldn't let Gene's original friends stay. It would have been hypocritical, probably...

^^ Their trepidation makes sense, since all three of them wanted to do other things but Volo told them to work at the League.

Later, after Volo creates his new world, he has become the driving force behind his new world, replacing Arceus. All the other legendaries and mythicals have been replaced by ones endemic to the new world, so they have new symbols over their heads that look like Arceus's hoops.
