If you could describe a picturesque moment, what would it be?

You know that moment when you're quiet and have time for yourself? So you choose a good tea, while the water boils and the kettle starts to sing its high pitched tune. You pour the tea in your favourite mug because that way it tastes even better. And then you go sit down on a comfortable chair, your legs in the sun coming from the window. You turn the pages of the book you're reading now. It's around the middle of the story, where you know the characters well and you like them. You can't wait to read what will happen next without having to think about ending the book so soon.

That moment I like.

With certain herbs more is less, I'd say since you just mix a little batch of herbs to burn it with, you'll find out what works with sage. I use it to cleanse bad feelings, negativity and bad spirits.

Northern Ute superstitions.

I'm Northern Ute, some of these maybe what other natives do, I'm just sharing what I and my family has done since I was a kid and longer.

A thing I was always told as a child was not to look outside at night, I still don't.

Also no whistling(like no whistling of any kind, that includes using whistles) at night, because you're calling something.

Laying a knife(blade facing up) on the bedroom windowsill(in the middle) will keep spirits and stuff(little people, they take stuff or move things around) out of your bedroom.

And putting sweet grass, sage, cedar over your front door keeps your home safe.

Don't be walking around outside at night. You might see or hear something.

If you hear a woman screaming/crying outside at night it's not human. And it could also be a mountain lion/cougar or bobcat.

When you hear an owl outside you smudge yourself, and if you hear it call a name you take an eagle feather and cut it's words with the feather. Face the direction where the owl is and tell it to speak no more as you use the eagle feather to cut through the air horizontally. Owls mean death in my tribe.

Coyotes and dogs crying around all ugly isn't good, brace yourself for some spooky activity at night if your going to be up late.

Water babies haven't been heard crying on my rez but if they're cry it's pretty bad. Just don't go towards it if you hear babies crying by any water source.

Blowing bubbles in water or random water gargling calls the rain.

Screaming around and being loud while pine cone gathering will scare away the pine cones and next harvest will be slim pickings. Not good if you love pine nuts.

Don't let babies look in the mirror, don't let the rain touch babies till their first birthday.

Don't sit on the ground when pregnant or something will try to hurt the baby. Sit in a chair or on a blanket

Imagine this..

You wake up before Arthur Morgan(modern au, was inspired by fanart of him) after a long night of conversation, comfort and cuddling. Just enjoying each others company as long as you can since he's finally home. You both fall asleep reluctantly, you don't recall who fell asleep first.

You wanderer into the bedroom heading to the bathroom but you're stilled as you hear Arthur rouse a bit. He yawns into the pillow, laying on his stomach, no shirt, and the view is appeasing as he is you're cowboy. It's one of those mornings where you're feeling sweet on him, you decide to crawl in bed and places kisses on his exposed back. Try as you might you can't kiss each freckle, Arthur rolls over pulling you into a snuggle. Them large calloused hands, you're safe place no matter what.

His voice rumbles in his chest as he's trying to find something to say, but he just sighs and covers you in the blanket covering him. In all honesty it's been a long time since he's got to actually rest, and you're glad Arthur is taking it in and resting. Before you know it he's fallen back to sleep with you wrapped in his arms, no escape, but why would you want to.

Ok, rundown

I may not be a total functioning blog for a while. AC Valhalla, then also Cyberpunk. Life and gaming have consumed me and breaks from screens, ish is going to be sporadic af, for how ever long these play throughs take. I'm not ignoring y'all, I'll get around to tags at some point. I've never had two new games to play at once, so as much fun as they are, it will be immensely time consuming. And breaks from screens will be needed, bare with me, I have always had the worst attention span so apologies in advance.
