THINGS TO DO TO PUT YOURSELF IN A BETTER MOOD:
When energy feels stiff within or around you here are some things you can do to change the flow of energy:
INTERNAL ENERGY:
(sight, sent, taste, listen, touch, intuition)
Sight- Observe e.g: art, educational video’s, read a chapter of your book
Sent- Aroma e.g: incense, essential oils, potpourri
Taste- Indulge e.g: wholesome food, buy little snacks for yourself, go out for coffee and catch up with a friend
Listen- Audio- e.g: binaural beats, sing to yourself, open the window; enjoy the birds chirping
Touch- Contact- e.g: yoga, self-massage, cuddling with a pet
Intuition- Knowing e.g: meditation, automatic writing, journaling
EXTERNAL ENERGY
(environment, people, nature, technology, education)
Environment- Location e.g: rearrange your home, change your lunch routine at work, visit a new place with your friends no one has been to for breakfast
People- Others e.g: calling/seeing friends to catch up, connecting with family over dinner, bringing a co-worker a surprise (a snack or something you know they’d enjoy)
Nature- Earth e.g: walking in the forest (barefoot=grounding; be careful of glass and shit), feeding squirrels, picking up litter
Technology- Devices e.g: set reminders for pills, blue light is a bitch; makes it difficult to fall asleep; viral tip= no artificial intelligence 1 hour before bed, take a break from social media (if you are considering deleting an account it should be done in a calm state and not when you are emotional; you might feel different later. I did and regretted deleting accounts, whoopsie daisies!)
Education- Information e.g: learn something new everyday, everyone is your teacher, mainstream media is used as part of an agenda; confusion and chaos, become aware of your conditioning and how you want to re-program yourself
Internal effects external and vice versa. Which dominates? The energy with the strongest belief. Change is the only constant, you can change anything. You can choose to become anyone. Don’t let others who are insecure stop you from becoming what you desire. Insecurities are a projection of ones own failures, flaws, and blockages onto another. Be kind and confident in your abilities. Balance activities in your life so you can live healthy and full of love and abundance. You have to constantly clear out old energy for new energy to enter. It must become a habit for one to maintain balance.

Depression is the main cause of disability in the world. In the United States, almost 10% of the adult population is struggling with depression. But since this is a mental illness, it is harder to deal with it than, say, with elevated cholesterol levels. Helen M. Farrell explores the symptoms and treatment of depression, and also gives some tips on how to help a friend who is depressed.

Depression and social networks
Tumblr media
Researchers at the University of Texas surveyed several hundred students on their psychological state and behavior on the Internet. The authors of the work were especially interested in the symptoms of depression: loss of pleasure, the appearance of chronic feelings of guilt and a sense of hopelessness, a tendency to sleep for too long, etc. The article in the Journal of Applied Biobehavioral Research says that symptoms of depression manifested especially strong if a person spent a lot of time on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Since the study deals only with the correlation between depression and social networks, it is difficult to judge the causal relationship here. On the one hand, a person with depression can be drawn to social networks. We constantly stumble upon someone more beautiful and more successful in social networks and it leads to depression. In social networks, we participate in discussions, receiving different evaluative judgments about our own person. This can easily deprive the emotional balance of a sensitive person. It should be noted that studies on the connection between depression and social networks have recently appeared with enviable regularity.

Depression worsens working memory
Tumblr media
The results of a new study of specialists from several US scientific centers are published in the journal Neurology. The study involved more than a thousand people, whose average age was 71 years. At the start of the study, all participants made magnetic resonance imaging, in addition, they underwent psychological testing, as well as tests for memory and thinking. Five years later, the survey was repeated.
Symptoms of depression were observed in 22% of participants. The analysis of the obtained data showed that the more pronounced manifestations of depression, the worse was their episodic memory (memories of specific events and situations). In addition, participants with depression found structural changes in the brain: its volume was less than that of mentally healthy people.
Apparently, depression and aging of the brain go in parallel, and the more pronounced its symptoms, the worse the state of the capillaries that pierce the brain - noted lead author of the study Adina Zeki Al Hazzouri.

Summer depression - a myth or a reality?
Tumblr media
Depression has many options. For example, there is a seasonal affective disorder, when it manifests itself in the winter, and in the summer everything is fine. And it happens the other way round: summer is the worst. Most often this variant of seasonal depression occurs in countries close to the equator, but it can be found not only there. What causes it and how to deal with it?
Long hot days It is believed that seasonal disorders, manifested in the winter, are caused by a drop in serotonin and cold rejection. As for the summer depression, its cause may be, for example, too hot and humid weather, as well as sleep disturbance due to prolonged daylight hours.
Allergy It can also affect the mood. Some allergens cause inflammation of the respiratory tract. In such cases, it is especially important to protect yourself from plant pollen.
Disbalance Many people notice that different moods prevail in different seasons. Some people feel the loss of support in summer.
Winter depression is most often associated with a lack of energy, and a summer depression with anxiety and irritation. These things can help to fight the depression:
Sleep in a dark room Insomnia is one of the main symptoms of summer depression. It is important to hang lightproof curtains so that the body accepts the need for sleep.
Regular Exercises Physical activity helps reduce stress and anxiety levels in addition to health benefits.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation Modulates brain activity, helping to relieve symptoms of depression.

The large-scale work of geneticists made it possible to identify the causes that provoke the development of severe forms of mental disorders.
Tumblr media
The global research project of scientists from the Royal School in London allowed them to discover the genetic basis of severe forms of depression. Scientists have found out that there are 44 different genetic variants that are not just risk factors but also unique catalysts for the development of severe depressions, with 30 genetic deviations in humans being reopened.
Common forms of depression affect about 14% of the world's population, but genetic abnormalities and violations of the genetic structure are turning into severe mental disorders. In addition, genetic changes caused by hereditary diseases or mutations interfere with the medical treatment of clinical depression in 70% of cases.
Genetics note that 44 different factors in the aggregate can affect not only the development of depression and its drugs curability but also allow the body to "zero" after the course of treatment, creating a relapse.

7 Tips for Overcoming Feelings of Inadequacy
1. Remind yourself that you are not who other people think or say you are.
2. Remind yourself that everybody makes mistakes at times, has areas of weakness, and things they want to change.
3. Remind yourself of ways in which you’ve grown and changed with time. You’re not who you once were - so celebrate how far you’ve come.
4. Also, the ending isn’t written and the future isn’t fixed. You’re free to change your image, and an old identity.
5. Identify the lies you have believed about yourself – and work on changing them so they’re more accurate and true. Also, don’t reinforce those lies by acting like you think they’re true.
6. Remember that your feelings are not the same as facts. Don’t live based on your feelings … as that will keep you trapped.
7. Hang out with those who see, and who appreciate, your worth. And take their words to heart, and let them help to build you up.
