Hello everyone, today i would like to share to you all my story concerning a rather pressing issue in society, which i know many of other people my age is too afraid of speaking up about. I hope after reading this you'll help me and the others who are stuck in the same situation as well.

This is a story about abuse, or more specifically, "child abuse". I'm 15 years old this year, which means i'm supposed to be protected by the law concerning children's rights. My life used to be in fact, rather average. Everyday i would go to school and come back home, i would eat and sleep like any normal girl would. However, all that changed when that monster appeared.

He's my eldest sister's husband. (This part is a little hard to translate, basically she refused to refer to him as "brother" or "brother in law" and instead call him using the pronoun "nó" which is often used to refer to animals, which is understandable considering how much of a monster he really is). I fear and despise this monster, and i refuse to call him in such an honorable way. Even right now, when i'm sitting here typing these words, chills still run down my spine, i still feel incredibly disgusted everytime i think of his face.

Him and my sister married in 2013, right when i was about to enter middle school. My family used to live and work in Ninh Binh (a province in Northern Vietnam). My parents wanted to send their children to Hanoi (Vietnam's capital city) for education ever since i was in fifth grade. In July, him and my sister got married. At that time, my parents haven't bought the house we are staying in yet. Please let my repeat myself, my parents bought this house, not him (referring to her sister's husband).

The Vietnamese mass media is strictly controlled by a bunch of corrupted politicians so there probably wont be any news coverage of this on any major newspapers or tv so we've got to take matter into our own hands! Please help this girl escape her abusive family!

This is Thùy Dung, we will call her D., and she will be 16 this year. 

She is a pupil in Amsterdam Hanoi, one of the best high schools located in all of Vietnam. She is described by her friends as a cheerful girl with good grades and an overall nice person.

D. was the third daughter of a family that lives in Ninh Binh, Vietnam in a time that the government strictly forbidden parents who bear more than 2 children. She lives with her aunts and other relatives and only occasionally visit her parents.

When she was 11 he parents sent her to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam so she can continue her education in a better condition than a small city in Ninh Binh.  She lives with her oldest sister and her husband, along with their 2 children in a house that D.’s parents bought. Sounds normal enough?

But for 5 years she has been continuously abused, physically and mentally by this monster.

She calls him her brother-in-law, who is currently working as a sports news MC for VTV, Vietnamese’s national television broadcaster. What more disturbing is that D.’s family is now currently holding her captive, cutting all outside connection and is using their money and power to turn the blame on to D. and faked the story of her being mentally unstable.

I’ve noticed a trend lately. Where people go “I lost friend(s) because of a fake rumor someone said about me…I try to tell the people that its not true but they ignore or block me.” 1. People that make fake rumors to hurt people because it gets them off, can burn in the deepest pits of hell. I hope Karma just wrecks them.

2. If your “friends” don’t come to you and ask for your side of a story/rumor that they heard to see if its true or not, are NOT your friends. If they can flip on a dime over a little “he said she said”, then they are not worth worrying about and even being friends with. Find people that actually care about you and will hear you out.

3. If you ever hear a story or rumor about someone, make sure its FACT before going on a killing spree. Get more then 1 side of a story, and have legit proof. Since it seems like most people jump on the wagon to “I heard a thing about them from a person, that heard it from a person, that heard it from a person, so lets burn them to the ground!!!! YAYYYAYYAY WE DO GOOD!!!”

Don’t just accept the new Terms of Service

Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)

OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:

Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.

My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:

Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:

Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.

When we click on that one, what we will get is this:

A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.

(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)

oh one last Political Opinion before i knock it off for the day:

commodification of education is fucking disgusting and taxes should pay for higher education. college should be free for anyone willing to pursue higher education. 

college kids are broke as hell and severely stressed out because of money worries. my parents paid for my college education and literally the entire time i was stressed out by the fact that my mom was spending thousands and thousands of dollars on me when i felt like i wasn’t worth it. that sort of shit fucks with your brain and it’s ludicrous that it’s considered normal. 

the prices for textbooks are also fucking disgusting and nobody should be charged 300 dollars for a .pdf file
