Mask of the Tengu

Machines all return again and again, every dusk a song that never ends

Inspired by nemean pelts, except the mask / helm is part of this ones face! Yesterdays miku was a fair enough warm up, but pieces like these are more concretely "me", since I have so much practice with them perhaps. I miss drawing but whenever my research or teaching gets too heavy it's always unfortunately the first to go... so I'm hoping to get back to it more soon haha.

Dark Divine Miku

This is supposed to be a take on the new Yoneyama Mai statue, which looks incredible! She's really a goddess! The design and sculpture are like modern masterpieces to me, hm.

I was actually doing the doodle just as a breakdown of all the little elements on that costume, but I guess I could still improve at using references, a lot of the flowy fabrics and flowery bits in the statue didn't quite make it in and I somewhat had trouble with the pose as well. This feels a bit sloppy to post as is, but art doesn't have to be great to be shared I guess, haha.
