Thank you Yahweh for Your loving-kindness and mercy that never fails. Thank you that You are patient with me not because of who I am but because of WHO You Are.

Hebrews 4-7
Instructions to obey (put into practice today)
-approach God’s throne of grace for help.
-consider (think on) Jesus your high priest who understand being human.
-be diligent till the end (don’t be lazy) but inmitate the faithful.
💖💙💖
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith 🦋 virtue, to virtue 🦋 knowledge, to knowledge 🦋 self-control, to self-control 🦋perseverance, to perseverance 🦋 godliness, to godliness 🦋 brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness🦋 love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
‭‭II Peter‬ ‭1:5-8‬ ‬‬

Stop wasting your time - your life - sinning.
Present yourself to God as a vessel He can use to do something productive to further His kingdom that will last forever .💖
Jesus BORE OUR SINS on HIS BODY on the cross, that we might DIE to sin and LIVE for righteousness.
(1 Peter 4:3, Matthew 6:33, 1 Peter 2:24)

Last Sunday’s evening service at Grace Community church talked about greatness. Timely study of the Word that spoke to my heart. Coming off an intense election, the battle for greatness continues! But this battle does not only happen in politics. In fact, this craving for power and influence didn’t start in politics - it starts from the heart. It doesn’t just happen to those who desire work in government, it even happens to a “regular person” like me and you.
But let’s not talk about us for a moment.
Let’s talk about the disciples of the LORD Jesus, the men who walked with Him, listened and learned from Him, served with Him, and did miracles with Him. These men experienced that LORD Jesus on a level none of us could in our lifetime! They must have felt awesome! Well, looking at the Word…
They came to Capernaum; and when He was in the house, He began to question them: “What were you discussing on the way?” But they kept silent, for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest. (Mark 9:33-34)
With every bit of the life-altering experiences they have with the LORD Jesus, these men struggled with the thought of greatness and not being the greatest. It was part of their culture to consider those honorable and to honor those men of honor. A real big deal back then. It’s encouraging to know that, while the LORD Jesus is against sin, His teaching continues that we may live pleasing to God. His quoted response was hard to swallow but pretty easy to chew on: If we want to be great (according to God’s design and standards), we have to consider ourselves last and serve others - “servant of all” as the LORD said.
We can look at the candidates, their teams of workers and volunteers, their celebrity supporters and say, “They have no heart for the people! How dare they insist to have a place in government!” Or we can look at the Word of God and assess ourselves first, chewing on “Am I considering the needs of others? Am I serving others the way Christ Jesus did? Am I following the narrow path of the one I call LORD? Am I after the glory of God or the greatness I can achieve from this world?”
It’s helpful we’re vigilant about government updates but, as forgiven and redeemed people, we can’t get stuck and be as messy as the godless. When we have the Holy Spirit, we have God’s grace for us to love Him and serve others! We have the strength to walk in humility and find joy in the greatness of being a good and faithful servant.
The Book of Hebrews 12 tells us, “Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Blessed midweek!

“Let those who love the LORD, hate evil!” Psalm 97: 10 How do we respond to evil? Some Christians, in the present times, defend evil, some close their eyes or ignore it and some others just grit their teeth and put up with it. We hate evil because we love the LORD. If we love Him, we love the things He loves and hate the things He hates. We don’t want to be like Lot, who, though it grieved his soul, tolerated the evil in Sodom. Everything Lot lived for was burned up when Sodom went up in smoke (Genesis 19). What is your attitude toward evil in the world? If you love the LORD, you cannot remain neutral. You must hate evil and oppose it, for it is dangerous to tolerate it. Ask God for the strength to take a stand against evil. And when you do that, He promises to protect our lives and rescue us from the power of the wicked.” (Psalm 97 :10b)

““Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:1-13‬

The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32: 23). Absolutely! Sin is going to find you. If you continue in your sin, you eventually pay the miserable price. Your marriage is broken. A trust is betrayed. Your witness is damaged. Your reputation goes down the drain. Your children are devastated—carrying deep wounds, most likely, for the rest of their lives. Depending upon what you have done, there are consequences you’ll have to face. Sin blinds you. It will also find you. And it will grind you. Just look at Samson. Once a man of superhuman strength, taking out Philistines, became entertainment for the Philistines. Beware, come out of your sin before it is too late.
