It’s taken us a while but we have now finished working on our first catalog and are ready to show you all what we have to offer! When Fujiko grabbed her wrist, Pacifica felt an instant rise of anger and indignation well up within her.

“Just when did I give you permission to touch me? Do not get ahead of yourself!”

Not to mention the fact that the guards actually approached them – clearly, this was a failure on Fujiko’s part. Just up and running at the first accusation, or even allowing the accusation to happen at all was sloppy. If she had just walked with enough purpose, she could have escaped without any attention paid to her at all. People could read body language better than they realized, even on a subconscious level.

“If you think this is supposed to be impressive, we have very different standards.”

When the other snaps at her, Fujiko lets go almost immediately. She knows when to back off, of course. Fine, she didn’t need to take her along with her. It might be even better this way.

“Was I trying to impress you? I figured I was just doing my job.” She easily picks up the pace, running down the museum’s front steps two or three at a time and turning a corner down the sidewalk. Pacifica seemed to be keeping pace; the security not so much. But that was easily fixed. Spotting a man parking his motorcycle not too far away, Fujiko breaks into a sprint straight for him, making quick work of swiping his keys from him and throwing him to the ground. “No hard feelings,” she says with a smile. “Only room for one. Sorry I failed your test!” 

Digging back into a pocket in her top, she reveals the idol-- or an idol, anyway-- marking it with a kiss and tossing it back in Pacifica’s direction, before kicking the bike into gear and speeding away.

If she looked closely enough, there would even be a phone number on the fake idol’s base; more or less all the evidence she’d have to follow her with.

There’s always that sort of surprise in being returned something you hadn’t even known you’d lost. When she spots the earring in the mermaid’s hand, she sits up with a start, a hand flying up to her ear. It was definitely the one she was apparently missing.

“You- how did you--” Wait, no. That was probably the wrong question to be asking here. There was a mermaid right in front of her. God, this city was something.

So she snatches the earring from the girl’s hand, an almost offended look on her face; you know, the kind of face you make when you’re accusing someone of stealing without actually accusing.

But the mermaid doesn’t move, and... wow, is she feeling like she needs to say something. “Well... thank you. You can leave now.”

Most of her time was spent at the beach, she almost didn’t want to ever leave it since first getting to be back in the calming feeling of saltwater waves. Lu did her occasional people watching, admiring some from under the sea and from the safe distance of the shade.

Watching one of the women that reminded her so much of a dear friend, Lu’s eyes sparkled in delight. She wanted to approach her, but she didn’t want to cause a scene either. Instead, she decided to lurk and watch for now, but she wanted to talk to that new friend! She’d occasionally make a splash or wave from the shady spots she relaxed in to try and get her attention, but nothing yet.

Though something equally as shiny dropped down not too far from the woman, getting washed away by the crashing waves. Lu was quick to retrieve it, eyeing the piece of jewelry. When she peeked her head out, the woman was already gone far from the shore with a disappointed look on her face.

She had to fix this somehow. Lu did her best to keep an eye out for her, and once it was dark enough she emerged from the water, watching the woman sitting by the shore and held up the piece of jewelry with a proud look on her face.
