demiboy in definition but in questioning pronouns culture is liking he/they because it fits the definition of demiboy, but also liking he/it because it makes you feel good, but then also questioning if you could still ID as a demi-boy without using the standard he/they, then wondering if he/they/it is good but not liking they/it as a pronoun set, so overall you’re just confused (not a pronoun request, if you get confused :D)

Queer Athlete Culture Is

Intro post time! So I made another of the culture is blogs… This one is centered around LGBTQIA+ athletes! Any athlete, of any level (noob rec players up to pro), from any sport (dance and cheerleading and such count!), who identifies as any form of queer is welcome! Allies are welcome to observe and ask questions. 

I am a genderfluid transmasculine mspec ace ambiam soccer goalie so if you see any posts tagged with “mod gk” it will likely be themed around those things

This blog will be run off of a queue with the amount of posts per day determined off of how many post I have to queue in total. Unless I totally run out of posts the minimum will be 2 per day.

Im trying to figure out what exactly I am, and Im struggling because I cant tell if what Im feeling is part guy or just my strong dislike of the societal treatment of women (Im afab). Or even if instead of possibly being a demiguy or nonbinary maybe Im just a tomboy at heart?? Im really struggling to differentiate these feelings and figure out what I am, and any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey! Can't say I still don't struggle with this often despite feeling more comfortable with how I identify.

It might be a matter of experimenting with and exploring how you feel when you're in certain situations. It might be about distinguishing gender expression vs gender identity.

Also, ask yourself what feels most right to you? There's no 'wrong' answer per say. You might identify as something one day and the next you might realise you were completely off. There's nothing wrong with this. You might identify a something for several years and simply come to realise at some point that it just doesn't work the way it once did for you.

One other thing, not exactly the most helpful thing especially in a time of much uncertainty (or so I imagine): time can do so so much. Putting these thoughts away for some time and returning to them later on can also help. I admit that is muuuuch easier said than done, but its what I have learnt from my own experiences.

With all that said, it really can be tough and I'm sorry there's no straightforward way to deal with this necessarily. I'm also just one person from many and my experiences and own advice may be completely different to those of others.

A quick update on things that no one asked for!

Reasons I've been gone:

Got Covid for a whiiiiiiile which sucked (pls get vaxxed)

Came out at school as trans! It's been an interesting (?) process so far, but most have been accepting and supportive!

Also, just because I was in a really sucky place last year, this was my first piece of proof for myself that things DO indeed get better!! It's hard to believe, it can be random and totally not what you might expect, and may happen in really really strange ways, but it really does have its brighter moments! Just to balance out the positive with just a tiny bit of negative, I'm doing my best to get everyone on board with not telling my parents at all which is turning out to be a little tough...

But a routinely reminder, that if anything, I'm here! For anything! Pronoun asks are a bit slow due to some other personal issues, but if you wanna talk or need anything more urgently, I'm happy to do what I can!
