"She's had enough." The boy insisted. He... kind of realized how bad the facility was for the kids, how horribly they were treated. Funnily enough, he only realized how bad it was when he saw what they were doing to Zeno and Lune, even though they used to do similar things to him- he didn't see anything wrong with it all those years ago.
He pulled at his hair to get it to stop flickering, though it stopped at its natural state, which meant he was stuck with his hair being sky-like, the color almost melting into the sky above the two.
He almost flinched when Sly reached out to touch his hair. Usually when people tried to do that it meant it was getting cut off. He relaxed when the other pulled away, he was showing signs and he hated it.
"It's.. One of my signs."
Achaeus was on the run again. No, they didn't catch him or drag him back after the first time, he was just very scared. Yeah, leaving Zeno and Lune behind was an asshole move, but he'd be back for them. Soon. For now he needed some fresh air.
He was showing signs. His hair- his hair did the fucking thing again. And it was awful. It was blue like the sky with clouds moving all throughout it, there was even a hint of the sun in them- he honestly just wanted to cut his hair off himself just like they would back in the facility. While stuck in that horrible train of thought, he ran into someone.
@demigoddenier
A loud, low growl started after Acheus ran into the unknown person, but then quickly stopped.
The boy then proceeded to step back, giving Acheus a good look at him.
he looked… bad. Tongue splayed across bloody teeth and hands clenched into fists. Clearly, he hadn’t seemed a regular person in a while, with his mass of wavy hair sticking up like he were to be struck by lightning.
“Wh’t the fuck ‘re you doin’ here.”
He started, immediately on the defence. Nobody was supposed to be around when it was his outside time. They knew how violent he could get.

It was out of character. For Achaeus to act this way. To show signs so carelessly. He hated it. He's gone weak, he's gone so far back on his progress. He would be punished severely. IF he were still in the facility. Luckily for him, he wasn't. He ran away. Though, he... was really close to the buding, probably. But- he could run again if he needed to. He's done it once before, he can do it again.
"She's not dumb. She's stressed. She's four years old. And scared. She's not-"
He pulled at his hair, which was flickering from silver to... what seemed to resemble the sky's current state, clouds moving through his hair and stuff. Hell, there was even a tiny replica of the Sun if he put it under the right angle.
"So? Are you a snitch? You can't take me back there."

Achaeus was trained and conditioned to be a lot of things. Quiet, agreeing, obedient, patient, not questioning authority, not showing signs, doing whatever he was told. Though, that started slowly breaking when he met those kids. They became his new life mission, keeping them safe. And if there was anything he hated more than seeing them hurt (which was bad enough on its own), it was them getting hurt and talked about badly behind their backs.
It felt like a fraction of a second before a tree fell behind Sly, and the demigod before him looked pissed.
"She's not dumb."

"They're both toddlers. Not even five yet- they won't be fine, they need- someone." He protested.
He listened intently to what she had to say. It was... pleasant, learning about new things like that. He was always a curious child, though he never got to explore the world around him because the misses and misters kept telling him off for it. He was never introduced to so many concepts- and now he was realizing how much he missed out on, how detached from reality he was.
"Huh... that sounds pretty awful. Doing things on instinct like that. Not thinking- you know?"
He looked at the hand, and nodded.
OPEN STARTER:
Showing signs.
Achaeus looked everywhere. He's geniuinely checked the entire camp grounds and even a bit beyond it, sure it took him an entire day but he did it. And yet he couldn't find his siblings, the little toddlers he took care of back in the facility, back when the grown ups wanted to do things to them and he would step in and protect them.
He felt so helpless, he felt like a terrible brother figure. He was supposed to be the strong older brother who would try to get them out of trouble whenever he could and snuck them extra food from his share and always stood up for them when other kids were mean or whispering about them. And now they were gone.
He was somewhere private, or at least he thought the area was private, when he started breaking down. He pulled at his own hair, which was flickering between silver and mimicking the sky- no, it was storm clouds. His hair was literal storm clouds. Tiny tornadoes started forming on it as well.
Pieces of his surroundings started to break off as he let out a scream, his entire body twitching, it almost looked like he was glitching. Small bits of the rubble around him floated above his head and created a twisted version of the claiming symbol, a view of the sky with a building in ruins in the foreground.
Seems his godly mother and grandfather realized they never actually claimed him. Achaeus Blaise Boone, son of Atë, legacy of Ouranos.

"I... couldn't find my siblings." He answered truthfully, like he was being questioned at the facility.
"I lost them. It made me- really scared for them. I've been there ever since they were taken in- and I can't find them."
He explained it so calmly, pulling at his own hair slightly at times to keep it silver. "Fight or- flight? What's that?"
He nodded, he took that as a command. He was going to be good and listen to commands. "Alright, I will."

"No, but-" He sighed. "Demigods are destructive. All they do is cause harm. I mean, look at the mess I made, and this wasn't even the worst instance of this happening-"
He gestured to the general area they were in, covered in rubble and chunks of grass and dirt ripped out of the ground. "I wasn't taken advantage of. They were trying to protect the world from this."

"It doesn't. Because eye color is just eye color." He had no clue where this was going, geniuinely. He thought it was just a silly story, like what Mr. Moore used to tell him. Stars, he missed Mr. Moore. That man used to be so kind to him... whatever. He shouldn't think about it too much. "What does that have to do with anything?"
Gods bless his oblivious little soul, he didn't think anything of this.

"No, it- it's okay. It doesn't even hurt. It's not even uncomfortable, I just need to keep thinking about it-"
It sounded so trained. Like he's had to say it many times before.
"I wasn't mistreated- I really wasn't. I didn't have parents to mistreat me. The deal with the misses and misters was simple: don't show signs and you're good. I did that. I was good."

"No, I know I can't, but I can choose how I go about it-? Like if I want to do the right thing and not cause trouble like demigods tend to. By- by making sure I don't do the things that demigods usually do. Because that always ends badly." He shook his head.
"So what if I was a kid- a lot of us were kids. Besides, I'm fifteen now, and it doesn't matter anymore."
