Isn't it funny how the man the town called a satanist and a demon, made everyone who knew him smile.

His friends at school always had a place to sit and eat and laugh.

The kids had a place to feel protected and play.

Robin had someone who matched her on a level of weird the others couldn't understand.

Nancy had an equal in a planner and a helper.

Steve had someone who had his back, who would pass him a flashlight, a vest, a shield, who made him laugh when he was in such pain.

The town wanted dead a man who's only crime was trying to make a young girl's night not suck just once. Who was punished for being different, a person who would've thrived if he'd just been given a chance, or had been born in another place or another time.

Steve visited Eddie's grave only once.

"Sometimes I'm glad you're dead, Eds, this town didn't deserve you anyway."
