So Killer is pretty much complete, sans his glasses being attached to his head. I didn't sew the glasses to his head like I planned to because I'm not sure I like the glasses I made for him. They're kinda clunky and the glue I used to put them together ruined the acetate sheet I used for the lenses on the left side. I might just buy glasses for American Girl dolls from Etsy. What do you guys think?

I've also considered trying to alter the collar to be less loose around his neck, but I don't want to ruin it.

just a random thing i wrote for a christmas concept I have been thinking about for way too long. don’t question it.

i can't explain it super well, but the themes i've taken from angel hare remind me a lot of my interpretation of the overall thematic journey of the all dogs go to heaven franchise

both are about people going through hard times it’s not explicitly stated that the narrator of angel hare is currently struggling, i honestly just think his determination to find one of his few childhood comforts and hold on to it at all costs indicates Something and finding solace in something that reminds them of a basic need: having someone who believes in you.

gabby and annabelle both put a disproportionate amount of faith and attention in to making sure one person turns out okay, which can be detrimental to themselves, but both still ultimately view it as worth it, and regardless, are able to move their focus when the time is right. and both the narrator and charlie use what they know combined with everything they gained from their angel mentors to help others

zag and annabelle's supervisor who is implied to be god, but never directly said because they only exist in the tv show don’t exactly get the appeal of their student's mentee at first, but in time come to respect them as well

Belladonna was never real. Annabelle created her as a metaphorical evil long ago, but eventually gave her a corporeal form to long-con Carface in to realizing he isn’t as evil as he thinks he is by Basically giving him a second chance at doing the right thing against Red because like. her plan in christmas carol is literally just red's again All of her prior appearances in the show are just means of teaching Charlie a lesson. Her role in Christmas Carol is far more evil and drastic, because. that’s what Carface needs. He's not Charlie, he’s not gonna be swayed by just kindness and good. He needs to be faced with someone who he knows is unapologetically evil

Furthermore, in 2, Annabelle knew Carface was in contact with Red and was planning to steal the horn, and let it happen to see what Charlie would do. She knew, no matter what, he'd do the right thing, it was just a matter of him finding his own destiny

The sequel/series universe makes Annabelle a legit cool character, because no matter what, even as he keeps fucking up episodically, she stands by Charlie and keeps seeing the good in him, even if she probably shouldn’t. I think she views Carface in the same way. And why is that?

The series implies that Annabelle was once mortal. I think she was a lot like Charlie in her life. However, once she died, she actually did fully learn the error of her ways and ascend to godliness, and in turn become the Annabelle we know. That’s why she dedicates so much effort to Charlie, because she sees that exact same potential in him.

Carface and Charlie both have a similar backstory. Feeling unloved by their families as kids, they turned to a live of mostly isolation and debauchery. But whereas Charlie at least allowed himself a friendship with Itchy and a soft spot for children, Carface totally shut himself out of having genuine friendships. Killer, his closest companion, cares way more about Carface than Carface does him.

2 pretends like Carface didn’t kill Charlie, burn down a casino, and hold a child hostage for gambling information, so we are too

If Annabelle is the good outcome of this life, Charlie is the neutral and Carface the bad. So why wouldn’t Annabelle have the same sympathy and desire to redeem Carface she has for Charlie?

tl;dr Belladonna doesn’t exist and Annabelle is a mastermind when it comes to helping dogs get redemption.
