A Reviewer's Life - Week 15
Five #jazz albums received. Four vocalists. Decent voices, not much originality. One CD full of jollity and instrumental quirkiness - and some spoken word weirdity. I like that one. Two reviews submitted.

A Reviewer's Life - Week 14
A busy #jazz week. 12 albums in. 12! About half of which are triumphs of technique over emotional connection. But a few are joyous - and a couple of those are from young new artists. Hope springs... 2 out, as usual.

A Jazz Reviewer's Life - Week 12
Four in. One cracker, proof yet again that the #jazz mainstream remains vital and exciting in the right hands. One disappointment: proof that the lack of quality control is becoming a real issue for me. Are proper producers really so expensive? Two out. A fine example of the best of the European scene and a decent if low key British band.

A Jazz Reviewer's Life - Week 10
Brrrrr. It's cold. Luckily this week's #jazz albums have been rather warming. Two in: fun, swinging, unpretentious. Two reviews: pretentious as always.

A Jazz Reviewer's Life - Week 8
Albums Received - 6
Two absolute corkers, very different but oozing style and listening enjoyment. As for the rest, I know I've listened to them but I struggle to remember a tune, or a melody. Must be there somewhere...

A Jazz Reviewer's Life - Week 7
Zero albums in, zero reviews out. Apparently there was something non #jazz happening this week that kept everyone busy and/or inebriate.
