2 Minute Film Update
I was having trouble deciding which of my ideas to proceed with, in the end I decided to write a full script for each of the stories and show them to people on my course, the feedback was unanimous, they all preferred the 2nd idea with the lone driver heading home and breaking down on a country lane.
So this is the idea that I will be continuing on with, I will be editing the script a little more and then post it on here.

2 Minute Film Ideas #3
My 3rd idea for a 2 minute film came to me while I was sat in the cinema watch ‘The Last Jedi’. It had come to the scene towards the end when Luke faces off against Kylo Ren. And if you have seen the film you will know how disappointing this scene turns out to be. I spent the rest of the time in the cinema and even on the way home afterwards thinking how much better that scene could have been, which is what inspired my last idea, based (as star wars originally was) on Japanese Samurai films.
The story would be based around a Samurai who is sat at a camp fire cleaning his Katana, when a Ronin emerges for the forest. They sit and talk for a while before coming to the conclusion that only one of them can walk away from this camp. They both stand up and draw their swords as they stand across from each other, having a mental duel, before finally exchanging blows till the Ronin cuts down the Samurai and claiming his freshly cleaned sword as his own.

2 Minute Film Ideas #2
My 2nd idea for a 2 minute film came to me when I was driving home over the Christmas break, I had been working late and had a 2 1/2 hour journey to get back home, which meant I’d be arriving after midnight. The road I usually take home was closed due to snow so I had to take a country lane to bi-pass it. It was at this point that my mind started to wander. Conjuring up scenarios of what might happen it I ended up breaking down, or just needing to stop for any reason. The back doors on my car don’t lock, which meant that someone could easily get into the car. Fortunately this didn’t happen and I got home alright, but the idea stayed with me and inspired my next idea which is about a young man driving home late at night when his sat nav takes him down a country lane, he ends up breaking down and needs to find a phone. He sees a cabin off in the distance and heads towards it. And in true horror fashion the cabin ends up belonging to an axe murder who has recently escaped prison. The rest pretty much writes itself.

2 Minute Film Ideas #1
My first idea for a 2 minute film, revolves around a blacksmith who is forging a sword. The animation would follow the blacksmith as he studies the designs, chooses his materials and would then show him forging the blade and constructing the pieces before finally presenting the sword to its new owner.

The Sound Collector Poem
A stranger called this morning Dressed all in black and grey Put every sound into a bag And carried them away
The whistling of the kettle The turning of the lock The purring of the kitten The ticking of the clock
The popping of the toaster The crunching of the flakes When you spread the marmalade The scraping noise it makes
The hissing of the frying pan The ticking of the grill The bubbling of the bathtub As it starts to fill
The drumming of the raindrops On the windowpane When you do the washing-up The gurgle of the drain
The crying of the baby The squeaking of the chair The swishing of the curtain The creaking of the stair
A stranger called this morning He didn't leave his name Left us only silence Life will never be the same
