Hey!

It’s definitely hard to have all of us in the same place, but we can still probably have a reunion stream eventually. Just to provide some updates!

Emily and I are still at Emerson in our last semester. We’ve been rocking the Student Government scene and generally living our best lives. I’m working on a reality show on campus, and she’s breaking ground in the media studies and review world.

Anna’s graduated, but is still in the Boston area freelancing on projects. Camille’s in LA on internships. Grace is taking some time for Rest and Relaxation from Boston. Michaela’s graduated and in Chicago, making games and voice acting as she does. :)

Jonah’s out in LA, and Ty’s finishing school!

ACEN ‘16: T-MINUS TWO DAYS

We received official word from the press department at ACEN that Depa and I are approved to cover ACEN as members of the press! 

We’ll be getting the chance to interview some of the incredible guests of honor like Monica Rial, Max Mittelman, Erica Lindbeck—the list goes on.

It’s looking more and more like that our ACEN coverage will extend beyond a single episode of BANG!; expect some blog posts, some shorter videos, and exclusives from those aforementioned guests of honor.

We’ll also be making a more active effort to be plugged into our Twitter, so be sure to follow for photos of killer cosplays, panel coverage, general hijinks—it’ll be our own ACEN catch-all. 

We’re getting pretty hyped.

ALL ABOARD THE ACEN HYPE TRAIN: t-minus three days!

Hello, all!

As you can probably gather from the header, we’re ACEN-bound on Wednesday! We’re going to be recording the first episode of our vlog, Bang!, focusing on fan culture, fanworks, and otherwise dissecting media from a distinctly fannish perspective. 

Recording at ACEN gives us a chance to do a jam-packed kickoff episode to set the tone for the rest of the series. We’ll be talking to con-goers about con culture, cosplay, fandom life—anything and everything. 

We’ll also be enjoying the con same as everyone else, so if you see us wandering around say hey! (And if you see Emily in Artist’s Alley make sure she isn’t spending her entire paycheck in one go.)

Stay tuned over the next two days for more information and updates as we get closer and closer to con—we’re super excited to get started and to show you what we’ve got planned for the summer.

tl;dr:

we’re alive + we’ve been really busy with other organizations and projects!

our original plan for this semester was to start a video series on fandom matters and related subjects

but, again: time was an issue and things didn’t play out

however we will both be in boston this summer! (the first full summer we get to spend together!)

so our hopes is to start the series then so keep your eyes out come may, maybe june

we’ll be attending ACEN around then and hope to film a kickoff special while we’re there!

on a related note: we’ll also be at Anime Boston!

ty is coming to visit! camille will be with us! it’s like a mini reunion, basically. expect selfies.
