The video advertisement starts off with two celebrities saying and listing down all of Centrum Advance's ingredients, which include the important supplements our body needs in order to be healthy in all aspects of the body. Then they showcase their product, Centrum Advance. The intended target audience for the commercial is usually older people and newborns whose immune systems are weaker. At birth, acquired immunity is not fully developed. As people age, the immune system becomes less effective. The immune system becomes less able to distinguish self from nonself. As a result, autoimmune disorders become more common. But ever since the pandemic came, more people including those who have already a good immune system would buy the product because of the spread of the virus regardless of their ages or immune systems. The ages of infected people ranged from a 4-week-old to about 90 years. The product advertised is definitely good for them since all the ingredients and information that they gave are true. Each tablet contains Retinol acetate (Vitamin A), Betacarotene, Colecalciferol (vitamin D3), Lutein, Lycopene, Phytomenadione (vitamin K1), Calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), Thiamine nitrate (vitamin B1), Nicotinamide, Riboflavin (vitamin B2), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), Biotin (vitamin H), Folic acid, dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, Chromium, Selenium, Copper, Iodine, Phosphorus and, Potassium. These essential ingredients are said to fill the nutritional gaps in your diet and keep your energy level up even after a big meal. Centrum Advance contains B vitamins to support the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins for energy. It is packed with essential vitamins and minerals to support healthy brain and helps support a healthy immunity. Lutein, is an antioxidant to help maintain healthy eyes from the damaging effects of free radicals. With Lycopene, Vitamin B and Folic Acid to support optimal heart health and Vitamin K supports bone health. Furthermore, I think there was no media manipulation present in the video advertisement because, they have only stated the reasons why you should buy their product and why it is good for you. Aside from that, two celebrities are showcasing the product, which would definitely capture the attention of the viewers.

Blueland Video Advertisement

Blueland made a commercial and convinced their investor, Kevin OLeary, to clean a toilet on TV. The video advertisement showcases their cleaning tablet kit product, where one tablet can be used to clean various objects and dirt. Only add 1 tablet to the included bottle in the kit, and voila, you have the ultimate cleaner that is completely eco-friendly. Since this ad is situated in the United States, here's a source of gender percentages of people who clean in their households. As of 2019, about 51.6% of females are cleaners, while males are 48.4%. Interestingly enough, the average age of cleaners is 40+ years old, which represents 75% of the population. The intended target audience for the ad was therefore mostly females, with the remaining percentage of males being about 40 or older. But then, during the pandemic, people who had nothing else to do kept on buying cleaning products and cleaning their houses. Especially since another reason for them to do so is so that the virus won't be able to get into their home. According to Prosper’s latest data, the average amount of money consumers spend on cleaning supplies each month has gone up 12% over the last two years. It jumped from $17.30 in January of 2019 to $19.41 in January of 2021. Because of this, the cleaning industry skyrocketed and Blueland had unknowingly released their kit at the right time and era. Consumers also want contactless everything, whether that’s with checkout, payment, delivery, or pickup, which Blueland caters because they have an online platform for orders even from overseas. These make the product necessarily good for their target audience. Additionally, I didn't think there was any media manipulation present in the ad. Only they could show how the product is used and how it can really clean any object and dirt, which would positively appeal to the viewers and capture their attention.
