There is also the desperation of a post war society; with weakened or destroyed leadership, becoming male-less due to casualties, and the resulting economic wasteland are easily accessible apprehensions. Fearing the loss of wealth and a growing hatred of those perceived as being the cause of hardships felt by an entire portion of your population brings us to the "untermenchen" (low people) a phrase coined by Nazi Germany to "sub-humanize" the Jewish populace.

        Create Division- Us vs. Them. A result of sub-humanization, people believe they are human and if convinced that those people aren't fully human are able to accept their massacring. Pol Pot closed embassies and removed all foreigners from Cambodian soil; cutting off radio, television, mail, and telephone while revoking personal transportation effectively removed Cambodia from the world's sight. The control and falsifying of information will be vital in implementing your very own "solution".

        The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world believe he doesn't exist. This is most evident Turkey, where almost 100 years after the fact, the government still denies the heinous acts it committed. Every one of the genocides in the 20th century could have been prevented; however, if your actions are swift and precise, using these few tactics, you can kill millions of people washing your soil and soul in crimson carnage. You can maim, rape, and torture for no logical reason at all, whether it be the color of one's skin, the god they believe in, or some long fought feud. "Never again" is over and over again when everyone watches with open eyes and closed minds.

crumpled

once upon a time i wrote a rhyme in between the lines of a crumpled piece of paper

it was held together by a dirty piece of tape or was it some piece of gum maybe grape flavor

as my mind was thinking the ink sinking into the flesh of a tree drinking my thoughts and emotions

oh how i miss the west coast where the smell of the ocean kept me cool but not frozen

i remember the taste of the air her face and her hair are constant reminders of that place

her eyes catching me in her gaze reminding me of days spent under cloudy skies embraced
