In the language of flowers, a pale red carnation denotes the idea that “my heart aches for you.”

This story will have 3 versions of the same plotline. Each version will have a different POV where you can read as one of three cis-female characters.

The Pale Red Carnation (main love interest - Jin)

The Daisy (main love interest - Jimin)

The Marigold (main love interest - J-Hope)

The first book is the POV of the eldest sister (the main love interest is Jin). If you don't want to spoil the story and want to wait for the POV of a different love interest, stay tuned. Other POVs will be Book 2 (primary love interest Jimin) and Book 3 (primary love interests JHope and V).

Introducing: Jack. One of the protagonists from Degenerates.

Jack is one of the characters we never hear from directly. His best friends are Thomas and Halle. He is also one of the two characters who is actually from England. We never learn much about why he is sent to the International School in London nor do we learn much about his parentage. His mother is from America and it is alluded that his father works for the Department of State, which could be contributing factors as to why he’s enrolled at the International School.

In the chaos Amal suddenly found herself alone with Jack. She hadn’t thought anything of him earlier that night, he had been so quiet compared to the others. But now he was inches away from her. Bodies jostled her back and forth, pushing her into strangers on all sides.

“Don’t worry, just me,” Jack steadied her with a reassuring grip on her waist. His voice seemed to come from everywhere all at once.

Amal looked up at him and he grinned back devilishly, the hypnotic blue lights bouncing off his crooked white teeth. A jolt ran down her spine - of excitement or nervousness Amal wasn’t sure. He was undeniably handsome; his sharp jaw and high cheekbones were accentuated by the dramatic lighting. But there was something unsettling about how black his eyes were.

“Come on, lets go find the others,” Amal took his outstretched hand and he led her expertly through the crowd to their friends.

The small red tip of a cigarette bobbed in the darkness as he drew closer. After long, agonizing seconds Jack finally stood in front of me. He stood half in darkness, the light from the street hitting his back. Shadows cut sharp edges into his cheek bones and his gaze was cold. A sensation of wrongness engulfed us.

Halle was one of those people everyone was drawn to. There was a wildness to her that was magnetic.

Even the black makeup smudged around her sharp eyes appeared to be ingrained, like the natural pigment of her skin. Nothing about her seemed fake - because nothing was real.
