I'm fleeing to cohost ig. Tumblr is a fucking cesspool as evidenced by a full two-years and some change lurking. Between racist and transmisogynistic communities, the dipshit in charge of the site, and factors beyond my control.

I hope other transfemmes are able to find safe havens, I hope this site implodes and the people responsible for this environment are met with an explicitly ambiguous but negative fate, and ultimately, I hope this doesn't kill a vast majority of us.

idk how many of you remember this but a few years ago tumblr ran a universally panned ad campaign for (us american) pride month that went "the gayest place on the internet".

well someone planning that campaign dropped in to ask the queer automatticians for advice on that and universally me and the other trans people involved were like "don't do it. i am so serious. don't do it. people on tumblr won't understand that it wasn't automattic who instituted the porn ban, or they will, but they'll recognize that automattic hasn't done anything, hands tied or not, to reverse it. nobody will like this. it will be a disaster." and they thanked us for our thoughts and went ahead with it anyway and then had to do retrospectives about how badly it went and were like "we just didn't know" and [gestures] yeah [edit: i think the person who rbed saying it was queerest place on the internet was right, my brain is fried, sorry! and that's... even worse lmao]

The ‘queerest place on the internet’ is misgendering a trans woman as they vilify her, encourage a witch hunt against her, make baseless claims that this was ‘all part of her evil plot’, and their pissbaby ceo THREATENING TO CALL THE FBI ON HER because she made a joke that looney tunes violence should be visited upon him (editors note: he’s proving why it should rn)

Literally never seen a blog get deleted as hard as they deleted predstrogen. Every image on every post regardless of content just gone. Swear to God staff invents new moderation tools for the people they hire to target trans women with. No reasons, No TOS violations, just fucking voiding a random trans woman instead of any of the thousands of hateful TERF or Nazi blogs.
