Making a robot sona!

His name is Rube and it's cool. It's the kind of guy you can put stickers on. He's got a cable collection and loves analog tech. Guy owns an abacus. His processor is kinda slow and he's got physical buttons and will forget and lean against a doorframe only to accidentally mute itself. It may end up shifting to have more ungulate legs? But I like these so far.

Rube collects cables and old tech. He really enjoys having mismatched casing and signs of love (wear and tear and repair). He loves the physicality of rube Goldberg machines, as a computer he doesn't get to see all his mechanisms and electricity so it's nice seeing a process that just makes sense as it runs, in a very observable way.

He also loves nature and doesn't see a true separation between machine and nature. It sees all the similarities in there and knows that it's part of nature as well.

As part of its obsession with physicality, it loves to cuddle and touch. He enjoys rough housing and cuddling and friendly shoulder touches and every sort of touch. If you push him against a wall really rough it's fans WILL kick in and you might even see it's screen flicker.

It can really only handle one or two tasks at a time and is easily overwhelmed. If it tries to do too many things he just kinda stalkers in place until something finally takes priority.

It's tail can be retracted and wound up but it likes having it out, for one an assortment of cables and chargers is always useful, and for two he needs them for balance. Despite his love of being physical, it's joints aren't great. It wears out quickly and has a lot of intermittent pain. This cuts into its processing power, which slows it down further. But with rest and care he always bounces back.

Rube likes wearing loose fitting clothing, especially patterned shirts. He likes baggy pants and long skirts. His head antenna are pretty sensitive so he doesn't really do hats. It hates shoes, but it has extra tough treads it can clip on instead. It's hands can fold neatly so that it's arms just end smoothly. His feet always splay a bit and his hocks lean in due to the joint issues.

my eyes are not a joke. my eyes are not "derpy" they aren't funny. real people's eyes look like this. my eyes look like this. it's upsetting to have a movie make a joke out of your eyes and more upsetting to see everyone else not only follow along but amplify it.

yes, the Minecraft movie CGI is unsettling. it is bad but the problem with the sheep is everything except the way its eyes look. real. people. have. eyes. like. that. I cannot emphasize enough that real people have eyes like that. I promise you are capable of criticizing the Minecraft movie's appearance without mocking exotropia.

and if you really want to go above and beyond criticize the Minecraft movie for using exotropia as a joke. call them out for using a disability for laughs. this kind of humor will only continue while people find it funny. make it clear it's not funny.
