After thinking on it I think one of my big issues with the finale is how sidelined Adrien ended up being. Like I know Ladybug is the main character but the conflict is so much more closely connected to Adrien since Gabriel is the cause of all of it, even if he doesn���t know. It feels wrong that he wasn’t there to witness any of it and that he doesn’t know the truth. Cuz like… if Ladybug just explains it to him one day it will feel really cheap, but what’s even worse is him not finding out at all.

Idk. Considering the whole theme of the show is the relationship between Ladybug/Marinette and Chat Noir/Adrien (me and you against the world) it feels wrong that the final battle that we have led up to for seasons just doesn’t have one of our two main characters present. I know we saw what that could have looked like with Chat Blanc, but clearly stuff has been going on with Gabriel since he basically sacrificed himself, which he probably wouldn’t have done if he hadn’t already been dying, but I feel like that seeming change of heart would feel more earned if he was talking to his son instead of Marinette. That’s just my feelings though.

I think this is my main problem with the finale. We know that Gabriel is selfish- he can say all he wants that he only cares about his family, but we rarely see him actually act in their interest. He is not bringing Emilie back so Adrien can have a mother, he’s not bringing her back for her, he’s bringing her back because, as he says, he can’t live without her. It makes no sense for him to bring her back and then not also be healed and there with her. It feels so out of character for him, especially considering he’s spent a whole year terrorizing Parisian citizens without any regard for their safety- the akumatized victims are essentially killing people and the only reason there isn’t an actual body count is because of Miraculous Ladybug undoing everything. He isn’t above murder and considering how stubborn he is his change of heart feels very unearned

Not to keep pleading the Amelie case or whatever, but seriously, him saving Emilie and Nathalie but NOT HIMSELF does. Not. Make. Sense.

Is he above murder or not? Is he above sacrificing someone else for the lives of his family or not? Why would killing ONE person be okay, but killing THREE people is not? Gabriel is cool with murder but only once???? Is that it????? You think Gabriel watched a recording of Emilie saying “I don’t want anyone to die for me”, and his conclusion was “it’s okay if someone dies for Emilie, but not for myself” ??????

(Again, if she’s alive, SOMEONE died. Because Nathalie is alive too, and it’s a life for a life. TWO people have to be dead for the Emilie case to be true, someone other than Gabriel, someone who has been murdered)

To be clear, I don’t think he’s above murder at all. He says himself in the episode. He straight up says he cares about nobody’s lives except his family’s. But he also says he doesn’t want to be alive if Emilie is not. And Emilie says she doesn’t want to be revived. Hence, sacrificing himself to save only Nathalie makes complete sense, because it honors Emilie’s wish while sparing himself the pain of living without her.

But if Emilie was alive, and he decided to ignore her pleas of not committing murder for her, he’d want to live. He’d want to be with her. So like…. why wouldn’t he kill someone to save himself? If he’s already committing murder and dishonoring her wishes anyway?

And again if your only answer to this question is “idk lol maybe the writers are stupid” or “yeah, well, the leaked out of context rough draft material that we were never supposed to see and is not explicitly canon—“ then your argument is inconsequential

A small PSA to all those new to dealing with the porn bots that Tumblr now has a fresh wave of – I understand that when you go to report them, you want to report them as "[containing] sexually explicit material", but don't do that. Report them as spam instead.

These are spam bots flooding tags and the website in general with spam links. They often do not have anything sexually explicit on their blog (although they often have implicit material). Plus, these two reports get very different results. Reporting explicit material gets the bot slapped behind an 18+ wall, so minors can't check if they're a bot or not. Reporting spam gets the bot taken down.

Remember, folks: when dealing with a bot, report spam, not smut!
