Since I’m now in the fandom again, albeit with my Sett (and potentially with my Ezreal/Kayn later again), I just want to leave a link! I will add another Odyssey-verse once I am at home! Because, oh boi, I need this for all the angst.

Basic twist of that verse:

There is no Rhaast, but Kayn will still attempt to become the Emperor and his personality is about the same like seen in his short story.

However, albeit it is no betrayal perse, it will feel like one. Kayn will go against his old and good friend Jarvan since he believes it is for the best of the Empire. Basically he thinks that Jarvan is not capable to do what needed to be done; snd such reluctance also caused several major issues i the galaxy since the Emperor refused to listen and rather believed in his pacifistic ideals. So Kayns decision to succeed his friend will be close to a betrayal.

Yeah, what is definitely happening in Odyssey once Kayn’s corruption makes him literally mad.  Which is, actually, kind of funny because canon Kayn is like 99% done with Rhaast’s shit while Odyssey-Rhaast is 99% done with Kayn at that point. Poor Rhaast.

By the way, the K/DA Universe page on the websites features fanart of Kayn being an Ahri-fanboy and I kind of... approve of that, to be honest? Lmao. Based on the very fact that Odyssey-Kayn is canonly friends with Odyssey-Ahri. (According to my headcanons even non-romantic lovers, but hey. They also did karaoke at least. Explains a lot why the Odyssey-dance animation makes him look like an arrogant poser, lmao.)

Fair reminder that Kayn has arctic blue eyes before Rhaast corrupts him. At least his Odyssey model has blue eyes ingame so...You cannot take this from me. Technically speaking, his eyes turn yellow and red after the Darkin/Dark Star corrupted him. It is kind of the same like the “Dark Side”-corruption from Star Wars. That is technically the same thing. Guess I will write a detailed headcanon about that soon enough.

                                                             Talented Lone Wolf Originally debuting with the boy group ‘Break’ in the early 2016, Kayn was quick to gather a small fanbase for his reckless and equally unique dance moves - which reminded one more of actual battle stances than actual moves fitting for music - during their performances.

Held back by his label and due to him often clashing with the other members he dropped out as rookie, one and a half years after his debut. Finding a new label to harbor his arrogance but at the same time talented voice, he started his solo carrier with a full album in early 2018. Suffice to say, his popularity had risen above those of his old friends.

                                                                       8 Facts: - Kayn became an orphan really early in his life, so he lived with a foster family ever since - it is rumored that he was once in an aggressive street gang prior his idol life – and that he was even their leader - when asked, he would always say that he had always loved to dance and to sing to distract him - in his free time he practices many different material art sports - he is known to be unapproachable and ‘cool’ – in fact he scarcely ever speaks about his private life in interviews - it is widely known that he’s arrogant – for this very reason people either love or hate him - likes punk and black clothes the most - likes spicy food the most
