Nothing to Say
Loki x fem!Reader
Rating: PG-13 for kissing and some insults
A Loki x reader in which rumors of Lokiâs engagement have reached the readerâs ear and they arenât very happy about it. (itâs fluff donât even worry bro) Pre Thor
A/N: ha ha no I didnât return from the dead to post this because Iâve been craving this shit what do you mean
Masterlist
âDid you hear? An aristocrat is to be wed to the prince.â
âWhich one?â
âDoes it matter? One of the princes is off the market.â
âWell, Iâd like to believe I still have a chance with Prince Thor..â
The gossip continued, but your ears had closed. A prince engaged to be wed? It was not the first time these rumors had spread and it was certain not to be the last. Youâd always said, those that put stock in the rumors of bored young ladies were sure to be made a fool of.Â
That being said, you had never heard these rumors spread quite so voraciously. It began as a whisper some two days ago, but now it seemed that everyone was repeating it. It made your stomach twist every time you heard it, but you were determined to let this rumor fade without reaction - just as you had the last one.Â
But it bothers me. Your mind echoed before you could stop it. It shouldnât bother you. It couldnât bother you. There was no reason, no logical reason anyway, for you to be bothered by this rumor.Â
Loki happened to be a very close friend of yours. The two of you met years ago - before him and his brother had women pining after their affections day in and day out - and you were quick friends. Magic had never been your strong suit, but damn if that stopped you from sparring with him. He beat you every time, with very little effort, and it only made you want to keep coming back. Before you knew it, the little prince had earned a spot in your heart and you found that it wasnât simply wanting to knock him to the ground that made you come back. You liked his company.Â
It only bothers me because he should have told me! You thought, completely frustrated at your emotional response. If it were even true. You added hastily.
Walking through the halls of the palace used to take your breath away, but it had been hundreds of years since it was made your permanent home (A solution granted by Queen Frigga, mother to all, after your parents had passed). Now as you stroll through the golden halls, it all seems so familiar.Â
The path to Asgardâs library was almost always empty. The library, after all, was buried deep within the palace and no civilian dared venture that far without invitation. This time was no different, your soft footsteps echoing through the silence as your distracted mind contemplated the odious rumors of the week.Â
Just as you reached the library, your sanctuary, before you could even fully grasp the handle, a voice called out from behind you.
âMy lady?â
You sighed and turned to find a lady servant standing timidly before you. Sheâs so small. You thought, chuckling to yourself before replying.Â
âYes?â
âThe Queen requests your presence.â
This startled you, your heart and mind suddenly racing. âWhatever for?â
The girl seemed even more frightened than when she first approached you. âShe did not say, my lady.â
Taking a breath to steady yourself, you smiled nervously at the girl. âWell, then. Let us be on our way.â
Before you could begin walking, you noticed the girl in front of you began to shake. It was small at first, but quickly grew obvious. You raced to her side, concern drawn on your face. âAre you alright?!â
It was then that you caught her eye for the first time. Green and blue irises, filled with deceit. Her face was twisted in silent laughter. Bastard.
âOh, you ass.â You said grumpily, standing up and hitting the âlittle girlâ on the arm.Â
When she finally stood, you watched as her form shimmered and changed into the very gentleman that had been on your mind all day. A large smile graced his features and you found that you could not help but smile as you rolled your eyes.
âYou have learned nothing.â He remarked, humor still in his voice, as he strolled past you and into the library.
âYou changed into a little girl, am I to interrogate every child I see now?â You called, following him through the large doorway.
Though the library was almost never busy, the two of you found yourselves walking past the open seating in the front, past the rows of shelves and study tables, all the way to the back where a small fireplace and two small couches sat.Â
Your love for reading was never consistent like the princeâs. It came and went, never staying for longer than a few months at a time. The library, however, offered a constant source of comfort. The deep oak, the natural lighting, the comfortable silence, the company, it all offered a reprieve from the stress of the day.Â
âWhile it would undoubtedly be interesting to see you interrogate every child you pass,â Loki remarked while he scanned the bookshelves. âPerhaps you should settle on learning what to look for in a disguise.â
Watching the prince from your position on the couch, you quietly mocked him. ââPerhaps you should settle on learning what to look for-â
âWould you like to say that again?â He turned and glared, his eyes boring into yours.Â
Rolling your eyes, you stood up to join him as he selected his book for the day. âIâll never understand your unwavering passion for reading.â
Without looking away from the shelf, he retorted, âJust as I will never understand your incompetence in and out of the battlefield.â
You scoffed and put your hand on your heart in mock hurt. âYou wound me, sir.â
This time, his eyes flitted to you as he smirked. âLet us hope the wound may finally be fatal.â
You chuckled and pulled a random book from the shelf, glancing over it haphazardly. âTrying to get rid of me? After all this time?â You returned the book to its place and pushed off the shelf, strolling back to the fireplace. âI can only imagine itâs for your new fiancĂ©e.â
Loki faltered, but chuckled before turning in your direction. âMy fiancĂ©e?â
âOh, you havenât heard?â You tried to say casually, turning and catching his gaze. âI suppose I should offer my congratulations.â
Loki strolled casually to the fireplace, confusion in his eyes. âAnd where did you hear of this?â Humor danced through his words, but the question demanded answering.
The dying flames suddenly seemed a much better place to look than his eyes. âEverywhere. You could not take three steps outside without hearing about your new bride-to-be.â
Silence.Â
Why isnât he talking? This was supposed to be a dumb joke. Why isnât he talking?!
Loki sighed. âI had been meaning to speak to you about this.â
Your gaze snapped back to the prince. His face was completely serious as he stared into the fireplace. âThere is truth to these rumors?â
Lokiâs eyes stayed on the fire as he contemplated his words.
âI thought them to be baseless, are you telling me that you are engaged to be married?âÂ
âThe Allfather,â Loki began, hushing his tone. âHas been speaking of an arranged meeting.â You looked exasperated at him, looking for any trace of falsehood. âBut there is nothing set in stone.â
âLoki Odinson-â You took a step closer, making him meet your eyes. âIf you are truly engaged to be married and I had to hear about it from a gossip circle?â You stabbed a finger in his chest. âI will never forgive you.â
He cocked an eyebrow and grabbed your finger. âYouâve always had a flair for dramatics. Now whoâs trying to get rid of who?â
âLoki!â You hissed.
He let go of your finger and strolled leisurely to the couch without a word.
Your heart broke as you watched him casually pick up his book and continue reading. âYouâre being truthful, then? You are engaged?â You questioned softly, sadness and betrayal evident in your words.
Loki showed no sign of hearing your questions and continued to read, his face showing nothing but a lack of interest.
âI cannot believe you would keep this from me.â
A page turn.
âAnd now, you have the gall to sit there and pretend that we arenât even having a conversation?â
He looked up, almost irritated that he had to respond. âI thought you would never forgive me? And here I hoped that would mean that our conversation was over.â
âYou bastard!â You stormed to the couch, determined to slap him or something!
Of course, Loki was infinitely better trained than you and in an instant, he caught your hand, brought his knee around to your side and suddenly you were on your back between his knees, your wrists pinned above your head.
âGet off of me!â You squirmed, attempting to wrench yourself out of Lokiâs steel grip.
âIf you had bothered to ask how the conversation with my father had gone, you might have found out that I am not engaged to be married,â his words were a whisper as he moved in closer. âbut Thor may be when he is crowned king in two months' time.â Loki hissed as he brought the hand not currently keeping you in place to your chin. âBut you didnât bother to ask.â He smirked.
Your heart hammered in your chest as you stared at Loki, his hair falling around his face. Stunned into silence, all you could pay attention to were his hands.
âNothing to say?â He teased and you felt your face burn.
He smirked as he released your hands and moved to get off of you, but before he had the chance - you grabbed the straps of his leathers and pulled him down, crashing your lips against his. Shocked, he hadnât had the chance to reciprocate when you pulled away, uncertain.
You looked up into his eyes, trapped beneath him. Suddenly, Loki grabbed your arms and pulled you to him, his lips meeting yours with an intensity youâd only read about in books. Your arms wrapped around his neck, your hand buried in his hair. His tongue pleading for entrance as you became tangled in each otherâs embrace.Â
Pulling away panting, you saw the excitement in his eyes. A heavy silence settled, the only sound coming from your attempts to regulate your breathing.
Loki panted as well, his eyes scanning over your face. At the sight of his total confusion, you couldnât help but giggle as you cupped his face.Â
âNothing so say?â You whispered, teasing.
âShut up.â He grumbled, silencing your giggles with another sweet kiss.

Gentle
Pairing: Bucky x Fem!Reader
Summary: Y/N has never seen Bucky be anything but gentle and loving. Itâs hard for her to believe her boyfriend was ever the worldâs deadliest and most lethal assassin.Â
Word Count: 3,333 - One Shot
A/N:Â I was inspired by the idea of reader seeing Bucky fight for the first time and realizing how lethal he is as a soldier and assassin.Â
Y/N couldnât help but grin at her current predicament. Buckyâs head was resting on her stomach as he was sprawled across her small couch. His eyes were on her TV, but she doubted he was even watching it. She had Bridget Jonesâs Diary on.Â
When Bucky arrived at her apartment, exhausted from just getting back from his mission, she offered to change it. But Bucky said he didnât care. He just wanted to be with her. It didnât matter what was on the TV.
Y/N ran her hands through his hair. There were still a few tendrils that were damp from him taking a shower. She giggled at the feeling.
âWhatâs so funny?â Bucky sighed, trying to act annoyed but obviously so content.

All of The Stars - Chapter III
Thor x fem!reader
Series Rating: 15+
A/N: Iâve actually had this part written for a couple weeks but midterms were kicking my ass and Iâve had no time to edit. Also, the fact that I get no comments on my stuff tends to make me not want to but what are you gonna do? So, hereâs this part but Iâm not sure when the next part will be posted. If it is, it might not be edited. That being said, here is part three!Â
Masterlist || Series Masterlist
Y/N crouched down to retrieve her bag, putting the pellet gun back inside before standing once more and moving to her small living room. At this point, Y/N was more than ready to call it a night, but some part of her refused to let go of the thought that someone was in her apartment.
She flopped down onto the couch, setting her bag down next to her, sighing as little rain droplets began to hit her windows. âThatâs strange. LA doesnât usually get rain.â She silently questioned, but let it go almost immediately. Honestly, she couldnât bring herself to care.
Y/N kicked off her shoes, almost moaning at the feeling of air on her swollen feet. Being on your feet all day hurt, and the walk home didnât help either. Today was a good day though, her thigh wasnât in incredible pain and she could sleep off the soreness.
âOh!â She gasped, âThatâs right! I have the day off tomorrow!â A smile lit up her face as she stood up, filled with a new inspiration to go the fuck to sleep.
As she took small steps to move out from between her couch and coffee table, dancing a little out of sheer excitement to go to sleep, a shadow appeared out of the corner of her eye. Immediately, she turned to face whatever thing was in her house as she took the final step out into the pathway next to the couch.
Whatever she was expecting, it certainly wasnât a large man in armor. He stood a little taller than six feet--she guessed--his hands were by his side, his eyes dark as he stared at her. Panic shot through her as she considered her options. The man was already in her house. He had armor on. He was obviously much larger than her. If she dove for her pellet gun would she even get it in time? Suddenly, Y/N felt very foolish for opting out of a real gun.
âI need your help.â The man spoke in a deep rumbling voice that seemed to shake Y/N to her core.
She stood there and silently stared at the man, still contemplating whether or not to jump for her bag. At least she could scare him or shoot him in the face or something. This silence didnât deter him, however, and he spoke again. âI need-â The rest of his request fell on deaf ears because, at that moment, the man took a step forward.
Y/N leapt for the couch and dug in her bag, immediately finding the gun and pointing it at the man. His eyes widened and he raised his hands as Y/N moved to stand once more, her eyes trained on the intruder.
âI mean you no harm.â He spoke, softer this time.
âThen why did you break into my apartment?â Y/N questioned, finding her voice for the first time. He opened his mouth to speak, but Y/N cut him off. âYou know, I donât really care. Get out of my home right now or I will shoot.â
âPlease, I beg of you, hear me out.â His voice sounded desperate, his blue eyes shining brightly under his long blonde strands.
âGet. Out.â She hissed menacingly, attempting to look threatening despite her inner panic.
âWill you listen to me if I stay outside?â He asked, sounding somewhat frustrated.
Y/N faltered, this man was truly desperate for her help. She steeled herself once again but found herself nodding before she even really thought it through. Almost every part of her was telling her that this man was dangerous. Almost. The smallest part of her was curious as to what he could possibly need her so badly for.
The man kept his hands raised as he began to walk toward her front door, Y/N stepping back towards the bathroom to keep him in her sights and keep him as far away as possible in the small apartment. It wasnât until the man was in the hallway with the door locked that she allowed herself to take a breath.
âWell?â Y/N inquired, her voice not nearly as strong as it was in the moments before. âYouâre outside. Why were you in my apartment and why do you need my help?â
âItâs a long story, but Iâm stranded here and youâre the only person I could go to.â
âWhy are you stranded here?â She asked, her tone barely giving away the fact that she was genuinely curious.
âWellâŠâ The man trailed off, but Y/N refused to let him off easy.
ââWellâ?â
âMy father imprisoned my sister, but he died so she got out, she came to fight me and my brother, destroyed my hammer, and cast me and my brother out.â He rushed out.
Y/N couldnât comprehend a single thing he said. âWhy did his father imprison his sister? Why did she try to fight them? What does he mean she âdestroyedâ his hammer?â Instead of saying anything useful, Y/N managed to get out: âHuh?â
âItâs hard to explain, but I need to get in touch with Tony Stark and I need a place to stay until I can.â
âSo find a hotel!â
âWhatâs a hotel?â The man sounded so genuine in his question but Y/N just wanted to scream. Who the hell was this man? Nothing in his story made any sort of sense and he didnât even know what a hotel was? All she wanted to do was go to sleep. Why her?
âJesus Christ,â She muttered, rolling her eyes. She did not need this. Her life was fine just the way it was. As much as she wanted to find out why this man was really at her house, she really just wanted to go to sleep. âWhy not go to the police? Your sister was in prison, right? Shouldnât they be trying to find her?â
âThe law enforcement here wonât help.â
âThen how am I supposed to?â She cried out, her voice cracking slightly from exhaustion.
It was silent for a moment and Y/N wondered if even he knew how she was supposed to help. âYou help more than you know.â For reasons unknown, Y/Nâs heart began to ache at the emotion in his voice. He really believed that she could help him. âI only need a place to sleep. I promise that no harm shall come to you.â
Y/N sighed and rested her head on the back of the door. One question still weighed heavily on her mind. âWhy me? Why not ask some other random stranger?â
She thought she heard a light chuckle before he spoke, âYou are different.â
âGod damn it. Am I really about to do this?â She questioned her own sanity at this point. Everything about this situation screamed wrong. A strange man with a strange outfit that broke into her home? Now heâs insisting that she let him stay for the night? Totally safe.
âIâm gonna die tonight,â She muttered before she unlocked the door and cracked it open a little. The man had apparently sat down at some point because he scrambled to his feet when he saw her. He smiled at her and she rolled her eyes. âOnly for the night.â
âThank you,â He nodded, his smile widening.
Y/N said nothing but opened the door and stepped aside for him to enter. He was huge but he didnât seem dangerous. Besides, he seemed like he genuinely needed help. This was going to be her downfall, right? She was going to be nothing but a news headline tomorrow, she could see it now: Local Girl Murdered By Strange Man in Armor! (What an idiot!)
She knew she was being stupid. This was ridiculous. But her heart went out to...fuck! She didnât even know his name.
After she closed the door--and made a mental note to get his name before she locked him in for the night--she silently led him to her study. âThis is where youâll be sleeping tonight.â
âThank you very much, I will not forget this.â He smiled and put his hand on her shoulder, gripping it tightly. It was most likely supposed to be a friendly squeeze, but her anxiety went through the roof and she pushed his hand off.
âYeah.â She said quietly, unsure of what else to say.
An awkward silence settled over them for a moment before she realized that she should probably open the door. âThis door locks from the outside and you wonât be able to get out until morning. So, if you have to go to the bathroom, do it now.â
âUm- Iâm alright,â Y/N motioned toward the door for him to go in and he muttered another thanks before stepping inside.
âThereâs a couch that pulls out to a bed,â Y/N informed him from the doorway. âAnd donât touch anything in here, itâs my private study.â
âAh, I wasnât planning on it.â He smiled before turning to the couch and examining it as though he was unsure of whether or not to touch it.
âItâs a pullout.â Y/N reiterated.
âAh,â The man nodded in understanding but didnât move any closer to the couch.
âDo you know how to use a pullout?â She would help him if he needed, but she really hoped he didnât need it. She didnât want to be bent over, pulling the couch apart while he stood there. She really didnât need that tonight.
âOf course I know how to use a pullout!â He scoffed and moved toward the couch, stopping and pulling off one of the cushions. He seemed surprised, at first, and then turned toward Y/N with a triumphant look on his face.
â...okay.â Y/N nodded and turned to leave. âWell, goodnight.â She almost had the door closed when the man called out to her.
âThor.â
She opened the door a little and looked at him, now holding two couch cushions. âWhat?â
âMy name is Thor.â
She faltered a little, but nodded. âGoodnight, Thor.â And closed the door.
While she finished locking the door, she heard--very faintly--âGoodnight, Y/N.â
As she lay in bed that night, her thoughts racing, she thought about him. There was something so familiar about him, something so pure and good, and she found that she didnât regret letting him stay the night. Despite her anxiety and all of the problems that him being here could possibly induce, she didnât regret it at all. But why? And, now that she thought about it, she didnât remember giving him her name.
One thing was for sure: She wasnât getting any sleep tonight.

You were pressed completely flushed against him, barely able to even breathe much less move under him. The cold wall at your back gave you no opportunity to move away. His warm body was lined up with yours, the force of it just on the right side of bearable.
âIâm beginning to think this was a bad idea,â you mumbled half-heartedly into his shoulder, not in any way sure if the butterflies and stomach turning was from sheer panic or having the Asgardian so skin-warmingly close.
A soft, low chuckle breathed down your ear and neck, Lokiâs head leaned down and lips brushed your cheek.
âYes, my little mortal,â he whispered, chest moving with yours, hands and arms circling you tightly. âI think you bit off far more than you can chew with this one.â

The Fire Under My Skin (Bucky x Reader, One Shot)
Summary: No one got under your skin quite like Bucky Barnes. Fighting your feelings for him was a daily battle that you were determined to win. But not every battle can be won.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Warnings: Language, death, fighting/violence, angst!
Word Count: About 4k
A/N: This was written for @wintersparker 1k Angst Writing Celebration! Thanks for letting me play along darling! Had a lot of fun with this, as ending is not what I usually go with. If you like this please reblog, drop a like or send me a message to let me know!
MY MASTERLIST // SEND A REQUEST
The cool night air seeped into the room, mingling in with the warmth of the intimate gathering. The team was together, save a couple members, laughing and drinking and for once having fun.
You watched happily from your comfy spot on the couch, feet up on the coffee table and sinking down into the cushy fabric. On rare nights like this it was easy to smile and you did so freely.Â
But that easy feeling shifted into something else. You might have outwardly stayed still but internally you tensed as you heard two sets of footsteps walking in.Â
Steve, your friend and team member, confidant and leader.
Bucky, your⊠well, just Bucky.
You and he had been at odds from almost the start. Steve was at a loss, as was the whole team really. You were deadly in a fight, but friendly off the playing field generally. So your biting remarks and cold demeanour directed solely towards the Winter Soldier was a shock to everyone.Â
What was even more surprising was the rise it always got out of him. The one who almost exclusively spoke with Steve, saying only the bare minimum to everyone else, would always bark back at your combative behaviour without fail.
Maybe it was your easy friendship with Steve that got under his skin. Or your cutting remarks somehow zeroing in on his unspoken insecurities. Or maybe it was because, underneath all of the showy, cocky displays and comments, you made him feel about you the same way that you felt about him.Â
The heat that pooled and rippled in your stomach whenever he walked into a room was infuriating. You expressed it with every cold word you spoke, unable to say or act how you really wanted too. It constricted your throat with aching, but your sarcastic and biting words somehow always made it through.

All of The Stars - Chapter II
Thor x Fem!Reader
Series Rating: 15+ (Cursing)
Letâs get this party started! This is the last chapter that sets the stage for the series and I am SO sorry I didnât update earlier (even tho I know that this post is reaching a max of like 6 people lmao) Iâm taking my permit test tomorrow and Iâve been writing and essay so Iâve been stressed, to say the least.Â
Masterlist || Series MasterlistÂ
Today had been a strange day for Y/N L/N, and it all started with a conversation at work.
âMy friend, Kathi, messaged me something really weird earlier.â Said Dawn, the newest barista in the bookstoreâs cafe, as she handed a customer their coffee. She always had some new gossip about celebrities or current events, everyone always joked that they never needed to watch the news as long as Dawn was around.
âIs it like that time that your friend Derrin sent you a dick pic?â Kade, the general manager of the cafe jokingly groaned as he put a fresh pot of coffee on.
âNo, this is super weird!â Dawn insisted.
âAs opposed to her friend sending her a dick pic?â Y/N murmured to Sue, the only other one there that worked for the bookstore and not the cafe. She was pleasant enough, but was tired of being surrounded by people that were more than fifteen years younger than her.
âJust tell us what it was!â Kadeâs mock exasperation was thick in his voice.
Dawn seemed to pay it no mind and went on with her story. âSo, Kathi said that her friend was at the beach and she saw a falling star in the middle of the day!â
âThatâs whatâs got you all excited?â Sue asked, rolling her eyes and standing up from the bar. âIâm gonna get back to work, tell me if one of your friends sends you another dick pic.â
âWell, itâs more than that!â Dawn called after Sue, but the woman made no move to turn around.
âItâs okay, Dawn.â Y/N reassured. âSo, what else happened?â
Dawn smiled again and launched back into her story. Apparently, one her friendâs friends saw an alien in the water and a different friend saw the alien grab a woman and scream in her face. Of course, to Y/N and everyone else around, this sounded absolutely ridiculous. Nevertheless, she placated Dawn enough to make to make the girl happy so she wouldnât spend the rest of her shift pouting.
****
At the end of the day, it was only Y/N and Kade left in the store as they shared a bagel at the cafe before they left for the night. Kadeâs curly dirty blond hair was flopping in his face as he cleaned the counter around their food.
âYou know, one day weâre going to get in trouble for this.â Y/N said offhandedly as she ripped another piece off the bagel.
âWhat?â Kade asked, his blue eyes lighting up with amusement, âFor eating leftovers after closing every night of the week?â
âI mean itâs not like weâre paying for it.â
âYeah, but I doubt theyâll bring it up since itâs illegal to work closing every night of the week.â
Y/N looked at him with wide eyes and Kade finished the bagel, âIs it really?â
He shrugged, âProbably,â
She shook her head and chuckled while Kade made his way to the back room to shut everything down. It wasnât until they both had their coats on and were ready to leave that Y/N spoke again, âHey, howâs it going with that girl from your school?â
âPenelope is awesome, weâre going out tomorrow for lunch between classes.â Kade opened the door to the shop, stepping into the cool night air.
âThatâs sweet. You should bring her by sometime.â Y/N smiled and nudged him with her elbow.
âAnd introduce her to Dawn? Yeah, right. That girl will scare her off faster than Meg gets rid of customers.â
Y/N laughed at the image of sweet, excited little 18 year-old Dawn scaring off Kadeâs newest girlfriend. âOh, yeah, speaking of Dawn,â
âYeah?â
âWhat was with that story she told today?â
âAbout the alien?â Kade asked, shaking his head, probably at Dawnâs ridiculousness.
âYeah! I mean, Dawn tells some weird stuff, but never like that.â
âWho knows. Itâs probably best not to dwell on it.â As they approached the corner of Y/Nâs street, Kade turned to her and smiled. âIâll see you tomorrow.â
âSee you tomorrow.â She replied, pulling the boy in for a hug. He was only a few years younger than her, but she still felt that mama bear instinct with him. Little did she know, he felt the same way.
As she walked away, she heard Kade yell back, âWatch out for any aliens tonight!â
âI will!â She shouted back, Kadeâs laughter echoing in return.
Although the day was strange, the feeling of home and simplicity still held a place in her heart. She appreciated all of her friends at Barnes and Noble and she was grateful for every minute there, even when there were awful customers or stormy skies. Everyone there was kind and they cared for her, just as she cared for them.
Y/N reached the steps to her apartment building and entered as fast as she could, the feeling of rain was heavy in the air and it made her feel uneasy for some reason. Perhaps it was all this crazy talk about aliens getting to her head, she dismissed her strange thoughts as she called the elevator.
It was almost midnight, despite the store officially closing at eleven, and the exhaustion of the day was starting to hit. She hadnât been sleeping very well for about a week now, nightmares plagued her sleep and often times she couldnât get back to sleep after they woke her. It made for many restless nights. She only wished that tonight, the exhaustion would make for a deep sleep.
The elevator was fairly small and she always hated being in it, but there was no way she was taking the stairs tonight, the very thought of it seemed to make her eyelids droop lower.
Her building was nice enough, she thought, with wood flooring in the hallways that had gotten slightly warped over time, dark red walls, and fake gold accents, her building was definitely one of the nicer ones in the area. Of course, that wasnât saying much considering where she lived, but it still made her feel nice.
As she stepped out of the elevator and onto her floor, she sensed something strange. She couldnât quite put her finger on it, but something just seemed...off. Quickly and quietly, Y/N reached into her bag for her small pellet gun. She didnât want to take any more lives after serving, but she needed something to protect herself and people seemed to be frightened enough with the general shape of the gun.
Y/N crept toward her apartment and tried the knob. Locked. She nervously grabbed her key and unlocked the door, her hands only vaguely shaking. She paused, taking a breath and steadying herself before she slowly opened the door, raising her mock gun.
The apartment was dark, as she left it, but she still felt wrong. Setting her purse next to the door, she walked forward through the entryway, stopping and examining the hall to her left, making sure to check the small bathroom before moving on to the study and her bedroom, the doors branched off from the kitchen/living room.
Walking gun first, she twisted the knob to her bedroom, her heart pounding in her ears. She threw the door open, immediately pointing the gun around the room, scanning for any sort of intruder. âNothing.â She breathed a sigh of relief and moved to the study, finding the door still locked. She could still remember installing the lock on the study. She was so focused on getting it right, in her mind she thought that if she could install the door lock she could surely make it on her own. She installed the lock no problem! It was just on the wrong side of the door.
Y/N closed in her eyes and took deep breaths, âThereâs no one here. Youâre safe. Itâs okay.â Finally allowing herself to relax, she put the gun in her back pocket and made her way back to her bag.
Of course, it was the moment that she let her guard down that something happened. Itâs always right fucking then.

All of The Stars - Chapter I
Thor x Fem!Reader

Masterlist // Series Masterlist
Y/N L/N a pretty normal life. She was born and raised in Arizona in a family with three older brothers and one younger sister. She graduated from Prescott high school at age 17 and joined the marines where she served for six years before getting medically discharged for a gunshot wound to her thigh. Instead of going home, she decided to take the money her parents had saved for her college and started over in Los Angeles, California. It was expensive as hell, but she was happy. Palms was nice and diverse and it kept her busy without overwhelming her. To pass the time, and to afford rent without going completely bankrupt, she worked at the Barnes and Noble in the city; it paid a decent amount and she had the money her family saved up just in case things fell through.
She had a routine. It had taken her a while to get used to things after the Marines, but she was finally doing alright two years after her discharge. She had a permanent limp and it hurt if she walked too much or ran too much, but she would live. After all, she lived through much worse.
Thor Odinson had lived a less than normal life, to put it lightly. After being banished to earth, falling in love, almost dying at the hands of his own brother, said brother dying shortly afterward, brother coming back to life and trying to take over the world, his mother dying, his brother dying again, his brother coming back to life and pretending to be Odin, Odin dying, and then finding out he had a sister that just so happened to be the Goddess of death heâd just about had enough.
Then, of course, it just got worse.
Hela, his sister, was about to engage in combat when Loki called out to the bifrost to take them back. A genius idea, truly, seeing as Hela gets her power from Asgard and she easily jumped into the one thing that could take her right to it. After a short battle within the rainbow walls of the bifrost, Hela had successfully knocked both Odinsons out into space and was well on her way to Asgard.
That was the last thing Thor remembered before waking up to the sounds of screaming laughter and the feeling of water on his hands. It felt so nice and peaceful, the warm sun shining gently on his face, the water caressing his body as it moved back and forth around him. He would have been content to stay there forever, but suddenly a large wave of water crashed onto his face. His eyes shot open and he tried to gasp, but water has a certain effect that makes breathing, well, impossible, so it didnât really work out.
He sat up, coughing up salt water as he tried to take in his surroundings, he was obviously on the beach somewhere, there was a pier with a diner on the end of it to his right and restaurants of all sorts around him. People were everywhere, but no one paid him any mind. âJust a regular day when a man in full armor washes up on shore?â Thor wondered as he finally got his breathing under control. He stood and looked around for any sign that might tell him where he was. Was he back on Midgard? Is this some strange planet that resembled it? Did he die? No, he was fairly certain he didnât die. This couldnât be what Valhalla looked like.
His armor, made heavier by the water trapped inside and his soaked cape, made his steps heavier and slower as he made his way to the top of the sandhill, still scanning for any sign of familiarity.
âHeimdall?â He yelled at the sky before remembering that Heimdall was fugitive to the throne. What was that manâs name? Skurge? âSkurge?â He lamely attempted, attracting stares from those around him. Now, Thor was worried. Not extraordinarily, he could find a way out of here. He was Thor, he always found a way out.
At that moment, a young woman happened to walk by with her friends, so Thor reached out to grab her. âWhoa! Whatâs your deal?â She asked defensively, trying to squirm out of the hold he had on her forearm.
âIâm sorry,â Thor rushed out, releasing her arm. âWhat is this place?â
âVenice?â She turned and laughed with her friends.
âWhat planet?â
âAre you being serious right now?â The girl cocked an eyebrow, but Thor refused to let up, his eyes burning intensely. âThis is Mars.â She said sarcastically before turning away and laughing with her friends.
Thor grumbled angrily, but moved on. So, this was Midgard. Fantastic! All he had to do was contact Tony Stark. That should be easy! SHIELD probably knew he was there already and would send someone out to find him in no time.Â
So, Thor eagerly set out to find a way to Tony Stark.
Easy, right?

All The Stars (Preview)
This is a preview to my newest series with Thor. This story is an AU where Thor crashes back onto Midgard instead of Sakaar in Thor Ragnarok. I want to post a part every Sunday (#StarsSunday?)Â
Enjoy!

And with that, Thor set out to find Tony Stark in the mysterious land of Venice.
