WHOA assassin bugs are one of the first animals deduced to have two different venoms they can pick between when they bite??! Paralyzing enzyme venom for hunting and pure pain venom for defense!

It's here finally, my completed animation project for the the Mary Robinson Centre's Youth Climate Leaders programme!

This piece was displayed publicly yesterday in Belleek Woods, Ballina, as part of Ballina Fringe Festival. My aim was to try and make something that might help dispel some of the bad press and scaremongering about the pine marten's reintroduction to Ireland, and to help the public empathise with and better understand what a pine marten really is, and why we should be happy to have them as our neighbours. I created it with watercolour and ink on paper, which I then scanned and uploaded to Clip Studio Paint.

i swore off bettas after opal passed, but this koi stole my heart..... i took her home. my fiancée and i named her stevie :-)

so far she's got a lot of personality. she's not at all afraid of my hands in the tank when i rearrange things. she hates my phone. she likes hanging out in corners a lot. weird beastie..
