You rolled your eyes at Bokuto's words. "No."

"Y/n, please." He whined, a pout embellishing his face as his arms elevate to engulf you in a warm embrace, only for you to push him away. "Please, love me, y/n."

"Sit straight," You ordered, wiping his face with a damp towel, combating an urge to giggle at his deflated hair— which seemed like an exaggeration until you met him. "Stay here. I'll be back soon."

Another whine escaped his lips as you left the room with a goofy smile. He squinted blankly at the mirror before slumping down on the bed, gawking at the ceiling with an overly embellished frown. Within seconds, you were back, expecting to hear from Bokuto but, all you got was a heavy sigh as a response.

"What's wrong?" You asked, making him sit once again as you unbuttoned his shirt and tried to get him to change.

"You don't love me," He susurrated, glimpsing at you with a steadfast gaze as you discarded his shirt before looking in his eyes and chuckling. And maybe, that offended him. "Don't laugh! We've been friends since high school, y/n and, I've confessed to you around a million— no, a billion times. Please give me a chance."

"I'm sorry," You apologized, trying to hide your smile as you slipped him in one of his sweatshirts. "But I have a boyfriend, and he loves me a lot. I don't think he'll be happy if I left him. I think we're better as—"

"And what if I say I can make you the happiest person in the world?" And it left like the time paused. The way he stared at you reminded you of the day he first confessed to you with the same smile and the same excitement in his eyes, just a little bit impatient to call you his'. 'I already am'— you wanted to say. But you didn't.

Instead, you beamed sheepishly before planting a tender kiss on his forehead. "I'll answer that once you're sober."

Before you could react, his arms found their way to your waist, drawing you impossibly close in an embrace as his head rested in the crook of your neck, your hands encircled around his shoulders as a snicker escaped your lips.

"Please don't leave me, y/n!" He exclaimed, grip getting tighter around you as you tried to break it off with your hands, laughing because he refused to let you go.

"Kou—"

"No, y/n, I'm sorry if I did anything wrong!"

"Koutaro no—"

"I'm sorry—"

"Bokuto Koutaro." The room fell silent as his name rolled off your tongue, fear evident in his eyes which gradually melted away as your cupped his cheeks. "We've been married for three years now, baby." You giggled at his amused face, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose.

"What?"

"Yes."

"Well," He chuckled, letting go of you before setting his gaze at the lamp in the corner. "This is embarrassing."

"It's not."

"I love you."

"Likewise."
