FRIENDLY REMINDER While we haven't gotten to interact yet, I am always SO EXCITED when I see new Marauders blogs pop up, especially characters who don't get as much love from the fandom. I'm so excited to see what you do with Caradoc and I love forward to hopefully rp'ing with you in the future!!

OMG this is so sweet to see! And honestly makes me feel sort of a bit like a shit for what I’m doing. :/ 

Which is not me dropping him as a muse but I’m rolling him onto a multi-muse blog I just made. Really I’m doing it for all of my characters except my Ginny Weasley blog. If you would like to interact with Caradoc (and I hope you still do) he and I will be found at @gotmyskeletonkey!  I’d been contemplating such a move before my very extended haitus and if I want to continue to be active on Caradoc and others it’s the only way I see forward.

         She’d kept to the back, slipping away from James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter, wanting instead to get a good look at her new…partners. And she was anxious, Marlene was out on assignment with her brother. It was hard to pretend to feel the same excitement her other friends felt at the idea of joining a secret organization. None of them quite knew what was at stake yet.

         And then a familiar face caught her eye that gave Lily pause. She hadn’t seen Caradoc Dearborn in almost two years. And perhaps it was just her imagination, but he seemed harder, the security that Hogwarts had once provided shattered. She feels sad, but there is also some pride, knowing someone else like her could not keep away from the fight. There was someone else who understood the risks already. And perhaps that’s why she squeezed past others to stand by him. Her height providing the perfect disguise. 

         “I should’ve known you’d be here,” she whispered once she found herself beside him.

Very shortly after the meeting convened Caradoc zoned out, the gentle tones of his former headmaster feeling like a lullaby. There are plenty of excuses he could point to in explanation of his lack of attention- the increase in missions as of late or the fact that sleep had begun to elude him. Either way, standing in the back of the crowded and stuffy room, he found it hard to hold focus. It is not until someone addressed him in a voice both hushed and familiar that he came back to the events at hand.

Looking down at Lily his first reaction at her presence was surprise, he had not seen her when he had scanned the room earlier. Of course he hadn't made a detailed inventory of those in attendance so him missing her in the group was an easy oversight. The second thought is, "I could say the same to you."

He bowed his head down. "Not even a month out of school and your ready to get hexed by Death Eaters?" He had been going for a teasing tone but even he can tell that it sounds forced. The fact that she is there is not unexpected. The choice to fight back is barely a choice at all when you are the one being hunted.

Since it’s Monday and it’s been quite some time since I’ve been around let me provide a little info about myself. (some of which is in my rules so this will be a repeat)

My name is Jillian. I’m 30, married, and have a 1 year old whose name is Lillian James (say it out loud and add Potter to it. Yup, that’s why we named her that). LJ is actually the main reason that I have been gone from the RP world for so long. 

I have been around the independent roleplay scene since 2012 as Ginny but other characters that I have also tried my hand at with varying degrees of success are: Roxanne Weasley, Caradoc Dearborn, Terry Boot, Dean Thomas, and Bill Weasley. Of course there were some other muses I tried on but just never gained any traction whatsoever with.  Um… I’m a pretty chill human being who is a big old nerd. I cosplay as Helga Pataki, Edward Elric, Rose Tyler, Rapunzel, Cersei Lannister, and a couple others. I watch a lot of professional wrestling and went to Wrestlemania this past spring. I have three tattoos: comedy/drama masks, the deathly hallows with “All Was Well” underneath it, and my most recent one is the lighthouse from the video game Bioshock. 

I can be shit at keeping OOC interaction up but that’s not you, it’s just me being shit at it. Still, come say hi if you feel like it.

Attendance at Order of the Phoenix meetings fluctuated depending on who was working on what. Sometimes most everyone was present while other times one had to wonder what the point of holding the meeting had been. This particular gathering was one of the biggest Caradoc had seen in his time with the organization. Any place that could be used as a seat was occupied. The school year at Hogwarts had ended so most of the new Order members were recent graduates. Looking around at the recruits Caradoc saw several familiar faces, both a blessing and a curse. 

Working along someone you already had some sort of rapport with was nice but the current life expectancy for those affiliated with the Order was low. Meaning that someone walking out the door of headquarters could be the last time you saw them. Being a muggleborn he was at risk anyway and so he felt like he had little to lose but seeing people he knew, some who he even considered friends, put themselves in the same danger was something he grappled with. Fortunately there was little time to dwell on such things as he found a spot on the back wall to lean against as Dumbledore called the meeting to order.

sleep deprivation facts:

After missing one night of sleep, expect fatigue, reduced attention span and problems with short-term memory.

After missing 2 to 3 nights, one will also suffer poor coordination, muscle twitches, marked loss of concentration, impaired judgment, blurred vision, nausea, and slurring of speech. Often one will experience episodes of microsleep (briefly sleeping for a few seconds at a time, without being aware of it).

At about 4 to 5 days without sleep, expect extreme irritability, hallucinations, and delusional episodes.

After about 6 to 8 missed nights, add slowed speech, tremors in limb extremities, memory lapse, confusion concerning one’s own identity, unusual behavior, and paranoia to the list.

After 9 to 11 nights without sleep, fragmented thinking occurs (beginning sentences without completing them), and prolonged episodes of unresponsive “conscious stupor.”
