I’m honestly confused when people compare graduation and balance with like “ this had more character arcs and doing more exciting stuff!” Or “ it’s sooo slow!”

Y’all the tres horny boys didn’t have very solid characters besides maybe taako until crystal kingdom and beyond where shit hit the fan. Magnus fucking straight up shoplifts in petals to the metal. I wouldn’t change any of it but acting like Balance was like...a masterpiece.... from the beginning...is extremely wrong lol.

In fact? The flaws and mistakes they all made or created ended up making it even better, either through goofs or character arcs and plot. The best first glimpse of all that was when the three defeated magic brian....

In episode six!

We’re just in episode six of graduation. You don’t have to like it. But compared to early days Balance it’s extremely high quality, because experience with balance, amnesty, and their short campaigns taught them so much they can deliver better than ever!

What we have from the very start now in graduation:Character voices, staying in character, crafting scenes together, more free reign for the players this early on, already setting up larger forces at work. Making an effort to have Inclusivity and diversity! ACCOUNTING!

So yeah, y’all can complain or whatever but you’re basically walking out of the movie five minutes in imho. I’ll stay here and enjoy!

Maybe i just see pacing differently but i feel like the slow start to Graduation is incredibly important bc it gives us more time to get attached to all the characters. In five eps we know more about the main characters than we knew about THB until Petals to the Metal. Plus idk why plot has to be rushed into right away? We know so much about how the PCs interact with each other now, thats solid character building!
