Antis try to argue that fiction affects reality saying that representation matters, but they're contradicting themselves. Most fanfiction has some kind of representation (mostly queer) but they don't count them as actual representation, because they know it doesn't have the same reach as, say, a movie or TV series, and yet they argue that fanfic portraying something bad will have a huge impact??? I swear, they don't even think before talking
My favorite thing is when people try to argue that fiction absolutely does reflect reality but every single example they give is when reality is affecting fiction. Reality dictating what is depicted in fiction, and not the other way around.
That or when their only go-to example of fiction actually affecting reality is Jaws.

guys. guys listen.
if you wanna write and/or post a fanfic but are worried that no one will like it.
do not be worried. at all.
because even if no one else is interested, YOU are. you enjoy this idea. you're passionate about this concept. you should write for YOU, not for potential critics.
and even besides that, i guarantee you that there's at least 1 other person out there who would also enjoy your fic. it's essentially statistically impossible for you to be the only person on the planet who thinks the way you do, and enjoys the themes and ideas and characters and settings that you do.
write it. post it. take pride in the fact that you created something that you value. your fic exists, and that in of itself is amazing.
antis dni, this isn't about you or the graphic threats of harm you send to real people whom you dislike. get a real hobby.
proship/comship/profiction/etc. safe!

(NSFT, MDNI) ❥ imagine your shipcest parent f/o keeping your mouth shut with their hand during sex, not because they need you to be quiet, but because they'd cum too quickly if you moaned "daddy"/"mommy"

5 reasons to not say "child porn" or any of its variations:
It implies that CSEM production, and CSA overall, is based on attraction.
It implies that CSEM production has an element of consent.
It implies that CSEM production is transactional.
It implies that CSEM survivors are in the same social category as "porn star" stereotypes.
It has a reductive tone, esp when looking at the more informal variations.
CSEM (child sexual exploitation materials) or CSAM (child sexual abuse materials) are appropriate terms. It makes me really happy to see them being used, and I know I'm not the only one. If you use them, thank you.
