Rare Mental Health Disorders Your Should Know About
#1 Delusional Disorder
A delusion is a fixed but incorrect belief based on their interpretation of reality. The individual remains firm in their belief despite evidence against it. Delusions can also appear as a symptom of other conditions, such as schizophrenia or body dysmorphic disorder. Delusional content can center on ordinary situations (imagining someone is constantly calling on the phone), or bizarre acts that defy reality (birds beginning to speak to them).
When an individual has no history of schizophrenia or has experienced non-bizarre delusions for at least one month, they may be diagnosed with delusional disorder.
When left untreated, delusional disorder may lead to depression, social isolation, or legal issues from pursuing people associated with their delusions.

Think about it this way...
Instead of a great haircut that'll fade away, she'll get better looking every day as it grows out. 😅

Fact: A 2020 study published in The Lancet found that implementing a universal single-payer healthcare system in the United States could save 68,000 lives and $450 billion annually.
With that said, the United States faces a serious problem: it spends more on healthcare per capita than any other nation, yet ranks 49th in life expectancy. If we wish to address this, we must reimagine healthcare as a public good rather than a commodity. Expanding universal coverage, prioritizing preventive care, and reining in exorbitant medical and pharmaceutical costs could align expenditures with outcomes. By shifting the emphasis toward equitable access and collective well-being, the U.S. has the potential to not only improve life expectancy but also foster a healthier, more resilient population. Until healthcare prioritizes equitable access and public well-being over profits, the U.S. will continue to lag behind other nations in mortality, morbidity, and humanity.
