Really fun thing to do that I really miss and look forward to picking up again: volunteering at the pet shelter. Take the shyest dog. Find one that’s obviously terrified and needs comfort. Go to the safe room with them, and just sit with them. At the opposite side of the room so they don’t feel pressured to interact. Let them come to you. Bring a book. Bring a videogame. Sit there and chill and just vibe and relax and they will pick up on your relaxed vibe and eventually realize ���hey this person isn’t so bad maybe we can be friends” and they’ll warm up to you. Sometimes it takes a few days of trying but they’ll eventually feel better towards you and if you can open them up to the possibility of ONE human being nice to them, that opens a huge door of opportunity for them to see that they can find love and be safe with humans.
