Batfamily Week 2025 - Planning, Prompts and More
Hi everyone! I am running a Batfamily Week 2025 event. It will be mainly focused on content creation (e.g. fanfics, fanart, and more) based off of prompts, but there will be other ways to participate in the event as well (e.g. sharing of headcanons and ideas). Prompts will be announced late January.
I have never run an event like this before and would love some feedback/suggestions. I have not planned a specific week yet, so letting me know when you are available/what would be most suited to you will be helpful.
This form is for this event, it includes what types prompts you would like included, and when you would like the event to run.

Hello Comicedit followers and creators!
The moderation team here are considering running an event for Women's History Month over the course of March. The plan for this event is that we will split different themes over the four weeks of March, with broad, currently undecided themes such as "favourite woman", "favourite women-led project", etc. We would be accepting gifs, graphics, and more, across all comic book media, franchises and adaptions, with the usual exceptions (MCU Wanda Maximoff, Gal Gadot Wonder Woman, etc). Before moving forward with planning though, we want to hear from our followers on if this is something people will be interested in, and how much engagement we can expect. Feel free to also send inquiries or suggestions to our inbox and submission box here.

Do you love women? Do you love comics? Would you like to create some works for both of these things? Then you'll love the Women in Comics Mini Bang! This spring, we will be doing a reverse mini bang.
What is a bang?
A fandom bang (also known as a big bang, or in our case, a minibang) is an event where artists and writers are paired up to produce collabs! In a reverse bang, artists begin working on a piece and create a "pitch". Writers will then sign up for their top 3 picks. The mods will match everyone up. (If the numbers don’t align in signups, we will work out the details following signups.)
Schedule
We have a tentative schedule here. Signups will open February 1st-February 15th for artists and February 15th-March 1st for writers.
Roles
Participants may sign up as a writer, artist, or both. Typically, a bang is roughly even in art to fic. Some bangs will allow nontraditional art as well. If you’re interested in that, please let us know, and we’ll make appropriate adjustments.
Acceptable Content
The only major requirement for this bang is that your work centers on at least one woman from one of the big two comic companies (DC and Marvel). The reason for this is that these are the most likely to find a match-up. Specific information about the rules is here.
If you have any other questions, please ask!

📂| YARA FLOR/WONDER GIRL READING GUIDE
Who's Yara Flor/Wonder Girl?
Yara Flor is the fourth Wonder Girl, a young heroine closely associated with Wonder Woman. She's a daughter of the Esquecida of the Brazilian rainforests. However, she still maintains ties to the traditional Paradise Island through her Amazon mother and her own interactions with the community.
Before you start!
Please keep in mind her origin is tied to the indigenous-brazilian culture and it's considered an innacurate and disrespectful representation of the culture by its people. That said, if you want to have actual knowledge and learn more about this culture I'd recommend doing some deep research and not believe everything you read in her stories.
