📂| YARA FLOR/WONDER GIRL READING GUIDE
Tumblr media
Who's Yara Flor/Wonder Girl?
Yara Flor is the fourth Wonder Girl, a young heroine closely associated with Wonder Woman. She's a daughter of the Esquecida of the Brazilian rainforests. However, she still maintains ties to the traditional Paradise Island through her Amazon mother and her own interactions with the community.
Before you start!
Please keep in mind her origin is tied to the indigenous-brazilian culture and it's considered an innacurate and disrespectful representation of the culture by its people. That said, if you want to have actual knowledge and learn more about this culture I'd recommend doing some deep research and not believe everything you read in her stories.

Where to start reading for Cassie Sandsmark
Her first appearance is is in Wonder Woman vol. 2 #105
From there she’s in Wonder Woman vol. 2 all the way up to #226. Some recommended specific issues are #105-113, 140 153, 156-158, and 171.
Cassie is in all 100 issues of Teen Titans vol. 3  but specific plot relevant issues are #1, 7, 49, 55, 71, 75-76, 94
She’s in most of Young Justice (1998) and is even leader of the team for a short time. It’s one of my favorite comic runs and I recommend reading all of it tbh.
Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day
Wonder Girl #1-6 is her solo run
Wonder Woman: Secret Files and Origins
Young Justice: Sins of Youth
Wonder Woman vol. 3 #1-4, 11-13, 17, 26-29
Teen Titans vol. 4 #11-14
Teen Titans vol. 5 #17-19
Robin #145-147
Not comics but she appears in the animated show Young Justice in Season 2
(I’m leaving out all the final crisis/infinite crisis and reboot nonsense, but if there’s anything you think i missed let me know!)

Alright! I think that wraps up DC's Amazons Week!
Thank you to everyone who participated!
If you still want too, but think it's too late, tag me anyway! Late entries are still loved entries! <3
Unless anyone has any strong objections I'm thinking of deleting the AO3 collection. There's only 3 entries despite 7 people expressing an interest in it. Which, no shade! stuff happens. I personally only managed 1 work for this even despite planning more, so I 100% understand if you wanted to participate but couldn't for whatever reason.
But check it out and let me know if I should or not, cause two of the AO3 works were not cross posted on tumblr as far as I can tell. So maybe that a lone is grounds for keeping it despite the collection being so small.
I'd like to do this again next year but a won't promise for certain at this point in time.
Thank you again for your participation whether that be posting or reblogs. Love y'all <3

DC Amazons: Myths of the amazons
This is a entry for @dccomicsamazonsweek event DC Amazon Week 2024 day 7 myths. The story reflected her real life myths of Amazons where they are villians defeated by male heroes because Ancient Greek was not a fan of Feminism.
Nubia visit a museum as a special guest due to being Wonder Woman for a special Ancient Greek exhibit.
The museum personal said to Nubia, "I hear that Amazons were blood hungry warriors." and she reply, "That was just a myth told by men to discourage women seeking a government position in the ancient times. We are trained in the war to fight against warlords, and the men in power at that time made us villains because they fear of our symbol of freedom for women."
