someone’s flirting with you ? nope, not on their watch. someone’s getting too close to you ? they’ll make an excuse or blatantly pull you away if thats what you want. and god forbid someone keep insisting or prying for something romantic because they are not scared of making it known that you two are together. whether it’s subtle or not.

they’re not gonna let anyone make you uncomfortable. not while you’re with them anyways.

Selfship is not only incredibly fun but it's also just super healing, at least for me anyway.

If you also use selfship to heal, please know that you are incredibly valid and your F/O is so happy that they get to be there beside you in your healing journey.

Your f/o(s) love you no matter what your gender is, no matter what your sexuality is, no matter what race you are, no matter how tall or short you are, no matter your weight, no matter if youre chronically ill, no matter if youre disabled, no matter if youre neurodivergent, no matter what mental illnesses or personality disorders you struggle with, no matter if you struggle to do things that everyone else says is a 'basic human function', no matter how you dress or present yourself, no matter what your financial situation is, no matter what job you have, no matter how high or low energy you are, if youve been called annoying; too much; too boring; too this too that; your f/os think youre perfect: to them and for them. They love you at your best and they love you at your worst. Theyve seen it all and nothing changed, they dont view you any differently. They want to support you through everything they can, and if its something you need to do by yourself theyre there to remind you youre not alone, they believe in you. No matter what, you are loveable, you are loved. And if they struggle to show their emotions and affection? Trust me, that they try to show it in the best way they can; and it may even be the small things but youd notice it.

Imagine your normally stoic/emotionally reserved/grumpy F/O telling you just how deeply and madly in love with you they are… when they think you can’t hear them, of course.

Perhaps you’re taking a nap on the couch or something like that, somewhere in between the states of awake and asleep, as they pass by. They see your relaxed face—one side gently smooshed against the cushion—and take a moment to just admire you.

It doesn’t take long for them to start talking to themselves, mumbling praises just loud enough for you to catch. You’re so beautiful, so kind. They wonder what they did to deserve you. They know they don’t say it as much as they should, as much as they want to, but god, they love you so much that it almost drives them crazy.

Their words reach you through the sleepy haze of your mind. Once they leave to just let you rest, you fall fully asleep with a dreamy smile on your face and a warmth in your heart.

Me at age 8: I might not have any friends, but I can make imaginary friends with rich social lives to fill that hole. I bet when I’m older I’ll grow out of this.
