Kid today (probably like 6 years) came up to me and was like "teacher teacher what's your name" and i was like "asha :) also im not a teacher" and he was like "okay asha asha asha I need help" and i was like "okay buddy what's wrong" and he showed me this chunk of metal he'd found sitting in the sun that he was just carrying around and it was super sharp and super hot from the sun and he was like "my hand hurts :(" and i was like "ok. put that down. does it still hurt?" And he did and was like "no." and then he picked it up again and immediately went "my hand hurts :(" again and then I was like "kid. put that down and stop touching it" and he was like "ok but when I touch it my hand hurts :(" and i was like "Please Just Stop Touching That. If you dont touch it your hand won't hurt" and this went on for like another 2 minutes before i got him to realize that if he stopped touching the metal it would not hurt. I never understood why there was so much contention around the undertale genocide route being Called the genocide route. the only way to activate it is to hunt down every single monster that exists in every single section of the game until there's nobody left (with very few exceptions).

that's why it's distinct from a neutral route where you kill everything you encounter. you can get a Bad neutral route, but you can't get the genocide route unless your goal is to kill All monsters.

ok i finished roses scabbard. i love how early SU makes it very clear that its about lesbians just by like . making pearl the most depressed miserable widow there's ever been ever. like it's so funny that this childrens show made groundbreaking steps forward for the depiction of lesbians on tv by frog boiling everyone thru showing the end result of a radioactively messy alien lesbian situationship.

also its so so awesome how after steven fails to make the jump to pearl bc he's startled by how angry she looks at him she does like. Look to check that he is not falling and dying. but even tho hes in a ton of danger despite not being about to die she just turns her back to him despite her general protective nature. ithought they were going to childrens show resolve thru pearl catching him while he was falling but NO he just has to climb all the way up himself. 10000 years of terrible parenting forever and ever yahoo

oh and you know the rose concept sketches where rebecca sugar annotated them with something about how rose's eyes are always shadowed and kind of distanced/miserable. That really shows here. she smiles when pearl compliments her/talks about wanting to stay with her, but if you cover her mouth up and just look at her eyes, it's so obvious that she's miserable and self-loathing and doesn't think she deserves a word pearl is saying. the eyeballs of a woman who's convinced she's Evil and Deceiving Better People Than Her into thinking she's likable whenever anyone she cares abt says something good abt her. like she looks SO distressed about how much pearl loves her. shes all too terribly real
