photograph, 1826 or 1827, known as View from the Window at Le Gras The history of photography has roots in remote antiquity with the discovery of two critical principles, that of the camera obscuraimage projection and the fact that some substances are visibly altered by exposure to light, as discovered by observation. Apart from a very uncertain process used on the Turin Shroud there are no artifacts or descriptions that indicate that anyone even imagined capturing images with light sensitive materials before the 18th century. Around 1717 Johann Heinrich Schulzecaptured cut-out letters on a bottle of a light-sensitive slurry, but he apparently never thought of making the results durable. Around 1800 Thomas Wedgwood made the first reliably documented, although unsuccessful attempt at capturing camera images in permanent form. His experiments did produce detailed photograms, but Wedgwood and his associate Humphry Davy found no way to fix these images. In the mid-1820s, Nicéphore Niépce first managed to fix an image that was captured with a camera, but at least eight hours or even several days of exposure in the camera were required and the earliest results were very crude. Niépce's associate Louis Daguerrewent on to develop the daguerreotypeprocess, the first publicly announced and commercially viable photographic process. The daguerreotype required only minutes of exposure in the camera, and produced clear, finely detailed results. The details were introduced as a gift to the world in 1839, a date generally accepted as the birth year of practical photography.[1][2] The metal-based daguerreotype process soon had some competition from the paper-based calotypenegative and salt print processes invented by William Henry Fox Talbot. Subsequent innovations made photography easier and more versatile. New materials reduced the required camera exposure time from minutes to seconds, and eventually to a small fraction of a second; new photographic media were more economical, sensitive or convenient, including roll films for casual use by amateurs. In the mid-20th century, developments made it possible for amateurs to take pictures in natural color as well as in black-and-white.

a colour space is a numerical data that is specific for a set of colours. we used colour space to make sure that the colours stay the same between monitor and print. you would use adobe 98 or SRGB for softwares like photoshop because it matches the different tones and colour. Each device has a colour profile. you would use a colour profile in photoshop.

Evaluation on places Project 2
with this project we had to put a lot of thought into the group shots, to position our subjects in certain spots, we didn't want firing squad shots as it would make the image abit boring and cliche, we only did five minutes of research might have been a bit longer there was other people's work just to look how they there group shots it's just to give us some ideas. When we were taking the photos there was a lot of frustration with the light metre with inside the camera lens we had to play with the settings in the camera shutter speed was always too low and we could not really trust a light metre at that point slight confusion with the aperture setting at sometimes when we did take the Photo it would not come out sharp enough mainly we wore experimenting until we get the perfect shots, we were also using the flash on the camera this allows us to eliminate. the shadow under the neck area of the subjects of course when we were taking the shots we were asking to make sure that none of us we're too far away from the camera to have more of the light from the Flash and natural light was hit our subject.
In the future I'll try my hardest to get more involved in the groups need different people in photos instead of using the same face multiple times not saying the people I was working with was bad but what I do say I'm used to the same people all the time so it's just need to work differently when it comes to group shots.
The next part of the project was continuous light to do this I had to go to on motorway because that was the best place it was close to where I live so I know the place, it's always a busy at night-time so use that to my advantage so to do the continuous light set up my tripod this is for scalability the tripod wasn't even a heavy thing got it for really cheap so I think it was a good price and also the camera must be completely still no movement beside from the vehicles on the road then put the camera up top matures locked in tights set the timer on the camera to go off in 2 seconds because when I click the button it will shake so I make sure I do that, the exposure in the camera which is the shutter speed was set to 30 seconds to let more light into the camera aperture was set to f11 ISO is set 200. When it comes to painting with light it was the same settings as before but all it is simply using a light source to paint around your subject this took a few tries until I get the Perfect Photo.

the first photo is a good example of lines, the crossing makes a good bold pattern, makes the structure look sharper. its a good example of making the material stand out

the second photo is a good example of texture. it highlights the differing tones of the subject, which in this case is that of a sedimentary rock.

the third image is focusing on shape, Is focusing on shape one of the main important aspects of photography, it can be a quality of a distinct object or outline of specific form or figure.

The fourth image is all about pattern one of the very popular things in photography, it's a form arrangement or design regularly found in comparable objects another way to make stuff look very organised

the 10 photos that I got off these websites is research based upon pattern photography, the idea is to come up with ways to approach photography, and also what I would love to do in the future, its also to come up with an idea of a locations to take photos, or simply creating something physically using props in a studio or at home then setting up a camera setting up light if its necessary then take it from there.

A pixel is a minute area of illumination on a display screen. An image is formed from many pixels.
PIXEL DIMENSIONS are the horizontal and vertical measurements of an image expressed in pixels. ... A digital camera will also have pixel dimensions, expressed as the number of pixels horizontally and vertically that define its resolution
Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image. For example, an image that is 2048 pixels wide and 1536 pixels high
