ΔNOMΔLY ist a short film combining travel footage from Iceland with visual effects. I traveled to the 'Land of Ice and Fire' in October 2017. With a concept in mind of what I wanted to create I teamed up with Benni, Markus and Johannes of Wildboar 3D Studio. Luckily the guys shared my vision so we worked on this passion project together.

Je suis un peu touché par cette petite vidéo par ce qui j'y vois,j'y projette plusieurs symboles mais si là, c'est évidemment "pour de faux".... juste une allusion...

D'abord le fait de brûler ces vêtements. Cela m'a rappelé une nuit de mois d'août, par une chaleur étouffante, ou moi-même, quelque chose m'a pris de jeter dans les braises faiblissantes d'un petit feu de camp. J'y vois une sorte de réaction contre une société de plus en plus oppressive, Orwellienne. Je crois volontiers aussi que les Sanyasins en Inde et les Jaïns, eux aussi, dans leur rituel initiatique, jettent leur vêtement dans les flammes. C'est un geste symbolique même s'il est fait.... "pour le fun".

Ensuite, le gamin esquisse ce qui pourrait être quelques pas de danses autour de ce feu et il s'amuse à sauter par dessus.... Là encore, je vois dans ces deux gestes quelque chose qui me fait penser à des rituels chamaniques, des rituels de passages.... Et la jeunesse du gamin amplifie encore cette impression.

Je voulais partager cette vidéo parce qu'elle m'a renvoyé des trucs personnels et il y a ce désir de déchirer ses vêtements et de trouver un monde pur et nu.
