According to Paris (2019) lawmakers at the House of Representatives filed a senate billing concerned about not giving homeworks on students. Grace Poe authored the senate bill 966 which is the "No Homework Policy" but only on weekends. This proposed bill talks about that the teachers are not allowed to give assignments on students from primary to secondary schools.

The said issue was agreed by the DepEd secretary Leonor M. Briones and said “learners to have more quality time with their parents, family, and friends by limiting the homework/assignment to a reasonable quantity on school days and by eliminating the same during weekends”.

This no homework policy can really help students from avoiding too much assignments that need to be done at home but this won't improve students ability to cope with different situations which a normal student does.

The system inside the classroom would be much more complicated because imagine, a student is required to finish a task for around one hour or less which can also harm them because of pressure. Students would be more tired which is not really a good thing.

Homework can improve students values and this task is not intended to make life difficult but also to help student learn more without the fear of being pressure to quickly finish a work.

As a student, I am against of having no homework policy because of the bad reasons given above. I can't see it as a good thing to have quality time for the family because I believe that teenagers, youth, millennials nowadays would really prefer holding and typing in their mobile phones than spending quality time for their family. I would rather have homework at home than to feel the pressure at school.

Students can still enjoy their lives on weekends but I don't see any future if the homework would be banned in the Phillipine education system and teachers will also suffer.

Education is really the key to success so I understood the different kind of law, republic act, bill etc. that the government wants to implement. I really believe that God would take care of everything and he will not like if the bad thing cover the good thing.
