JESUS IS ALIVE | April 21, 2019 • Today, Easter Sunday—Resurrection Sunday, is the reason why I call myself a follower of Jesus Christ. • Not only did Jesus die for my sin, but he conquered death and rose from the dead. This may be a crazy story for y’all, but because He lives, I am able to face my everyday battles. • It’s is not because I am good or strong, but He is good and strong. I MAKE AWESOME BABIES | Feb. 17, 2019 • No, I didn’t make that t-shirt. Someone gave it to me. :) • I haven’t posted in quite a while. It’s seems like the busyness of the world has taken over my life... yes, even during this 3.5 week vacation. It actually doesn’t really feel like a vacation, but a time away from the usual norm. • But today, for the first time, it sorta feels like time off. Time away from the “noise.” • And I’d just like to say that my family is amazing! I love my kids!! Darylynn is so sweet!! She’s the cutest!! And Jed... well, he’s beginning to show more and more of his personality! And I love it! A bit mischievous and curious (I think a bit like me...). And oh yeah, my waif! She’s okay. Jk... she’s been super amazing! Honestly, I think she does a superb job taking care of the kids! Sometimes (read that as: most of the time) she goes overboard, but that’s the love and care she has for them. • A huge thanks also to Ce @lidya.darwin & Ko @rudydarwin who allowed @rettyuliani and I to use their space tonight to “take care of @excel.darwin” and sitting in their living room, I feel just relaxed, away from everything else. Even more so, a huge thanks to them for lending us their car! (And it wasn’t just any other car! You won’t believe what I’ve been driving! If you’d been following my instastories, you’d know.) • And then there’s the endless love from other family members and friends... too... really too many to mention. (Now I feel bad not mentioning everyone... boohoo... 😢) • Thank you everyone! • • Whoa! Wait, this was suppose to be a post about “I make awesome babies!” • So what I wanted to say is... thank you so much God for giving Retty and I these 2 amazing babies!!! Having just Darylynn, I felt pretty capable. But now with 2, there have been many MANY moments where I’ve felt so inadequate and felt like a terrible dad. But that’s where I need you, Jesus! That’s where I need “the village” to raise these kids. So at the same time, I feel so privileged! These 2 kids are amazing!!! I’m the luckiest... “HAPPY” 3 YEARS ANNIVERSARY | June 13, 2018 • “Happy” would probably not be the best word to describe our 3 years of marriage, but what I can say is that we are more TOGETHER than we’ve ever been. And I can truly say that TOGETHER is better than HAPPY. After all, marriage was never meant to be about us being HAPPY (Say what?! Yup, you heard me right!) • I absolutely thank God for Retty. Apart from all the amazing ways she’s been such a help and support to me and my family and life, God has used her to really mold me and shape me to become a little more “better”... a little more “like Him”... a little more... in Christian terms... “holier.” No, I got no halo on top of my head, in fact I think the “horns” need some more filing down. LOL • So I’ll stop my rambling as I sit here sorta sick after a long day of driving and little sleep... all to say... THANK YOU for sticking with me, my “waif.” Thanks for being so forgiving and accepting. Thank you for also being weak, yet also strong. Thank you for allowing me to fail and screw up. JED’S TANNING BED a.k.a. PHOTO THERAPY | 12:11am-April 25, 2018 • It was quite a day today... Nothing like we had planned. But I sit here in the BC Women’s Hospital grateful for so much. • Grateful for the accessibility to such professional nurses and health care that really do such an amazing job! • Grateful for the healthcare system in Canada so that we don’t have to pay a cent! • Grateful for the amazing staff @ @bcchf! • Of course grateful for my family!!! • Grateful for...I just realized this is gonna take forever if I write down one by one everything that is swirling in my head that I’m grateful for!! • I do remember like it was yesterday that in a few rooms away from where I sit and will sleep tonight, God was doing “heart surgery” in Retty and my heart while Darylynn was undergoing physical open heart surgery. • God is good. What a journey! What LOVE He has for us!! • And so as a reminder to all of you who’re taking the time to read this post... NEVER FORGET... ALWAYS REMEMBER... Remember all that you’ve gone through... and be grateful. JAUNDICE pt.2 | April 24, 2018 • Late last night Jed pooped all over and so I had to change his diapers and wash him up. I didn’t realize how skinny his legs were! So we decided that we would take Jed to a nurse first thing in the morning. • So I’m currently sitting in the waiting area as the nurse does more checks on Jed. But she told us to go to the hospital because Jed’s weight has dipped down more and more. • So off to the hospital it is!! Woot!! (Yes, I really don’t mind hospital visits, I just don’t like the reasons why we go. • FYI, Jed’s birth weight was 3.7kg and now it’s 3.3kg. • #JedidiahLim #thebabylimstory2 #baby #babyboy #sick (at Burnaby, British Columbia)

JAUNDICE | April 21, 2018 • Jedidiah’s 1 week old!! Woot! So why not hang out at the BC Children’s Hospital. :) • The day after Jed’s birth, we were good to head home with a low case of Jaundice. JEDIDIAH LIM | April 17 • I love being a dad. • Shortly after Darylynn was born, I couldn’t wait for another. And so here he is up close. • And so the sleepless nights begin again. • I did and still do get a lil scare when thinking too much about raising 2 lil monkeys... Props to all moms (and/or dads) who have 2 young kids. I don’t know how you do it! But we’ll take it one day at a time. • Huge shout out to my wife as well who was amazing in the whole delivery. WE SLEEP TOGETHER | Dec. 12 • It’s challenging. I mean, marriage is challenging. It’s a fight. A fight to continually pursue my wife. It’s easy on good days when we’re getting along just fine, but on other days, it’s a battle. • And then came 1. We named her Darylynn. You can imagine how dear she is to me; think about it, DARYLynn. :) And today I’m here to tell you that we sleep together. And it’s tough. It’s not ideal and I don’t even recommend it. But we have our reasons and excuses. • How is it tough? Well in sleeping together, all 3 of us (well really all 4 with junior on the way), pursuing my wife has been even more challenging. (No I’m not talking about the SEX.) ULTRASOUND @ 20 WEEKS | Dec. 7 • We woke up around 6:30am today walking into the unknown. • It was at Retty’s 20th week of pregnancy with Darylynn when we found out that Darylynn had a heart condition. So as we walked into the ultrasound room, our hearts began to pound. • In every season, YOU are still God. YOU are still good. And yes, Retty and I thank God for Darylynn and every step we had to/will take on this journey with her. God is good. • Today, God is still good. After Retty’s belly was scanned, the cardiologist told us that just about everything looks “normal.” Woot!! • (There is one thing that is somewhat an unknown in regards to our baby’s heart, but nothing to worry about.) I laughed to myself when hearing about the “unknown.” It just keeps Retty and I in constant prayer and TRUST in God. • A huge thanks to the staff at @bcchf who always makes our visits such a joy and so exciting! We can’t thank you enough!! • If you happen to remember Retty, Darylynn, our lil booger-in-the-belly, and me... please say a little prayer for us.
