My brother was shot in the hand during the war, and my husband is abroad and has been prevented from returning to us due to the blockade. My life is miserable and terrifying. Saftey and health should not be hidden by a pay wall, but its a reality for the people of Gaza. A harsh reality, a harsh, incomprehensible reality they wake up to every morning, or they are awakened by the sounds of bombs. Children are terrified or rain, because it reminds them of the airstrikes that kill their families. Just under half the children in Gaza have expressed a want to die. Children are forced to see and experience things nobody should ever, they are forced into responsibilities far beyond their age.

They don't ask for must - all they dream about is water and food, and basic necessities for the children. They also may need to evacuate at any time - nowhere in gaza is safe.

There's something I've repeatedly seen with posts TTRPG blogs like @thydungeongal or @anim-ttrpgs make/reblog - most recently with that "mental gymnastics" meme - where the post will tell people to play another game instead of going through the effort of squeezing D&D's square block into their campaign's round hole, and inevitably, people will comment "or just pirate D&D books!", which just... doesn't make sense? Pirating the books doesn't make the game better! It's like seeing someone eat soup with a fork and instead of telling them to use a spoon, you tell them to shoplift their forks.

But then I realized something. That's just another symptom of D&D players seeing playing TTRPGs as activism. When they see someone saying "play another game", they mentally add "...because WotC is a bad company!" even if the post very explicitly says "...because D&D is a bad game (for this kind of gameplay)!"

I have no real conclusion for this. It's just stupid.

Hello, I'm Ghada Mhasen, 20 years old, mother of a child born in war. She married shortly before the war and became pregnant a month before the war. The war came and killed my joy with my pregnancy and marriage, as we were forced to leave our house and flee. I left my belongings and things behind. I couldn't take anything. It was a difficult period with great difficulty. We found a tent to shelter my husband and me, because we had nothing. No one helped us. Ahmed suffered from head cramps and increased electricity after his birth. He was given medication and had blood tests done every two months to make sure his health was stable. He suffered from these cramps in 2021. My husband also suffered from liver and digestive system problems five years ago and is still suffering from these problems. Over time, my husband was injured during the war, which made things worse for him. We thank God for everything. Because of the instability and unavailability of the medication, we face difficulties in buying medications due to their high prices. Now life has become very difficult and the prices of medications have increased due to their scarcity. Things have become more difficult due to the lack of money and his expensive treatment, which has led to its unavailability due to money. I hope that all donors and supporters will not forget Ahmed and his father Khaled in alleviating their pain by providing the costs of his treatment and buying him the appropriate medicine and food. We also do not forget his brothers from the malnutrition they suffered from during this difficult period.
