What is it like to have an incurable disease?
Answer by Corey Wood Miller:
I am one of the "lucky ones" to have been diagnosed with several incurable diseases. I was diagnosed with Dercum's Disease (the third most painful disease known to man), Degenerative Disk Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Epilepsy. I am 28 years old currently. I have had 1000's of seizures, consisting of tonic-clonic, petit-maul, and myoclonic (some occur at the wrong time, like during intercourse and climbing stairs or overlooking a balcony). I have dozens of myoclonic seizures a day, and typically have 3-4 tonic-clonic seizures a month and 5-7 absence seizures (petit-maul) a month, though these numbers fluctuate (these are the figures of a good month). Dercum's Disease is severely debilitating and painful; benign tumors form all over your body and cause extraordinary amounts of pain, and the disease is quite progressive, as the number of tumors on your body increase tremendously over time. The fact of the mater with DD is that any physical activity worsens the pain, and causes new tumors to grow; stress is also a trigger to cause these insidious tumors to just appear. The majority of my tumors are on my torso (mostly my lower), my groin area, my thighs, and the minority of tumors are located on my face (right below my cheek bone), my calves and ankles, and my arms. These tumors will grow anywhere on your body. My Rheumatoid affects my knees, elbows, my right ankle, and my wrist/ hands, it limits activities and I have gained the granny "I know its gonna rain, I can feel it in my knee" power. I have had 25 surgeries in my life, but I just keep truckin' in life. What else can you do? NEVER give up, NEVER surrender! Occurring these conditions has taught, or well shown, me how strong I am. I have had doctors that I have such a happy demeanor for having such disabling diseases. I tell them that I cant not have such a outlook, as if I stop and really consider the facts of the matter I would loose it and end up in a mental hospital where I would have conversations with leafs that I get from the trees outside :-). I look at each day that I am still alive as such an awesome present (hence the word used to state the current part of life you are in). I despise being diagnosed with these diseases! But I would gladly occur such a burden if it meant that I would be given the gift of being alive! It's allowed me to truly appreciate the good things in life such as: being an artist, finding humor, making love, waking up to blue skys, being in love, smiling, laughing and making others laugh, sharing experiences with friends, watching really well done movies or television shows, unconditional love, being able to see or hear or feel this world and its magnificence! I might not have been able to achieve my dreams, but I am still alive! Most of what I have wanted to accomplish in my life time is no longer within my grasp, so I have a nice dose of fuckitall and find things I can do! I am still able to create pieces of art, write stories, make others smile, be a goof ball, read, enjoy cinema, play games, and some others. I hope this response has helped to enlighten somewhat of what it is like to live with incurable diseases; I could go on and on, but I will leave ya with one for the road... A man walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm. He walks up to the bartender and says "One for me, and on for the road!"

What are the lesser known facts about J.R.D. Tata?
Answer by Rahul Pahadiya:
In the first pic, you can see a painting. This was a gift to JRD Tata on his Birthday by a street artist. Nobody was able to understand his art. Unfortunately, only the painting was given to JRD and the artist had promised to reveal the secret shortly . However, JRD was no more when the secret was actually revealed.
See below For Secret!!!! .. ..
Here's the secret revealed. When you place a steel rod at the circle in the first pic you saw, you will see the image of the JRD Tata as a reflection on the steel rod as seen in the second pic below. Isn't it incredible!!

Which is the most underrated profession in India?
Answer by Suyash Misra:
Waiter.
They work long hours,
They are usually under-paid and under-tipped,
They have to be on their feet all the time,
Even slight mistakes or delays on their part are not tolerated by their bosses or the customers.
Moreover, they have to face the flak of customers even when it's not their fault. How could they prevent your food from being undercooked or taking two extra minutes to be fully cooked?
It is so sad when there is a waiter almost my father's age and people my age would talk to him rudely or treat him like a non-entity. How about a heartfelt "thank you" when he serves you water? How about a smile? I can't help but think that the biggest advantage due to which I and my friends can behave like such a bigshots and look down upon this person is probably that we were born in families financially superior to his family. That's it. A slight change in the Universe and it could have been the other way around.

What are the best examples of people who have "gamed the system"?
Answer by Mohit Saluja:
This happened in 2002. Two young boys, 18 years old, in New Jersey took an ad out in the New York Post. They said they were selling the top 10 x-rated videos for 49.95$. These videos normally sell for 100$ apiece. So one time offer, 49.95$, all 10 videos original version, uncut. But no cash, no credit cards, cheque or money order only. So a lot of people went and got a money order, got a cheque and mailed it to this P.O. box in New Jersey. The kids took the cheque and legally deposited it into a bank account. They had opened a small business account. Then they wrote you a letter the next day back on a very nice letterhead that said "Thank you very much for your order. Unfortunately, due to the huge demand we are unable to fill it so please find enclosed a cheque for 49.95$ to cover your full refund. It was a real cheque. It was a legitimate account that had the money in it to cover for it. The only problem was that the name of the company was printed in the top left hand corner of the cheque and it was done in fire engine red in big block letters and the name of the company was CHILD PORNOGRAPHY VIDEOS INCORPORATED. So nobody cashed the cheque and the kids kept all the 49.95's. Source: Interviews By Spencer - Frank Abagnale - 4/05 ctrl+f 49.95 to reach the spot.

What are the coolest chemical substances ever created, and why?
Answer by Gokul Nair:
Graphene Aerogel
The lightest solid
This thing is seven times lighter than air. It's so light, a block of it can be balanced on a blade of grass. It can absorb 900 times its own weight in oil and does this very fast, making it a good substance to mop up oil spills.
Here's one floating in air. Since it is lighter than air, it's buoyant in it.
Sources: Graphene aerogel is seven times lighter than air, can balance on a blade of grass - Slideshow | ExtremeTech Just to clarify this: It won't float off into air like a helium balloon does. It has a high number of  voids or pores in it which is occupied by air hence weighing it down.

Is it possible for an individual to build a talking drone by studying from IIN (Idea Internet Network)?
Answer by Mohan Dev Sukumar:
Idea hasn't invented internet, Vint Cerf and Robert Kahn did.
IIN is not a sister institute to IIT or IIM, not even a distant cousin. RIN (Reliance Internet Network); AIN (Airtel Internet Network); VIN (Vodafone Internet Network); DIN (Docomo Internet Network); and BIN (BSNL Internet Network) are its sisters.
Yes, we all can build a talking drone by using internet, but where I'm staying I can only get one network bar (or no bar) from Idea Cellular. So, I couldn't get admission into IIN. I got admission in LAN (Local Area Network).

What does it feel like to swim in the Dead Sea?
Answer by Effi Fuks:
You don't "swim" in the dead sea, you simply float. Preferably, do it leaning on your back, lying or sitting. The most common thing people talk about (which is true) is that the flotation is very significant and you can literally "sit" on the water. It's actually pretty nice. Besides that, since the minerals and salt level are very high, the water feels a bit oily even after you dry (until you take a quick shower). Also, the water a considered pretty warm, and the floor in most places is covered with salt crystals and salt coating.
Try to avoid diving (or even put your face in the water) to prevent a very salty and unpleasant irritation in your eyes. Also, and if you have open cuts or chaffing on your skin you'll feel an itch. Don't "taste" the water, it's extremely salty and feels oily. Also, Don't urinate or defecate in the water, unless you wish to have a very burning feeling inside of you :/ Besides that, it's very fun and unique, and during your trip, if you'll visiting the Israeli side of the sea, try to visit the Ein Gedi Oasis also.

How do I convince my 17-year-old-son not to be an entrepreneur?
Answer by Gaurav Munjal:
This one time in 7th standard when I had got a new computer and CD Writer, I started selling pirated game CDs for 50 bucks to my classmates and used to earn around 30 bucks per CD. My Dad found out that, I got a scolding and he slapped me and asked me to focus on studies at the moment and not worry about money. I stopped doing that. When I was in 8th standard and wanted a new computer which my Dad told me he will get me if I got 90% and I knew I could never do that, I thought of starting a magazine for my colony in Jaipur and it will have all the stories and poems from kids in our colony, I got the deal done from the printing press, I got tuition teachers and grocery stores to agree that they will advertise and I realise if I sold the magazine at 17 rupees a piece eventually will end up making some profits and make it large and buy my own computer. I had the habit of boasting, I still do, so I told it to my uncle who told it to my Dad and I remember that I got berated severely for not focussing on my studies and wasting time. So just before two days when I had to give the order to the printing press I had to cancel and stop everything. I studied and got good marks thankfully, though it's never enough. When I was in my tenth standard I wrote a small novella of 30 pages, it was good, my class mates loved it, the principal of the school loved it and even my parents loved it, my Dad helped me with Publication houses who could help me get it published, but it was tenth and we had board examinations so unanimously I had to drop the idea of getting it published because it was taking too much time. When I was in first year of my college Computer Engineering, my parents got a letter from college of low attendance. I actually did go to college but I used to sit in the library and code and take part in Topcoder and learn new languages, when my Dad asked me about the low attendance I told him you will get 12 of these for the next four years for each Trimester, and he got around 9 of them in next four years, but this topic was never discussed again. When I was in Directi, had got one of the highest package from college, around 16L to start with, I wanted to quit in 9 months and I start my own company. This was a dream job for many including me, but I just didn't want to do it after a point and wanted to do my own thing, my friends and family advised me to not quit so early and get some experience, my mom asked me that if I fail will I be ever able to get such a good job again :), I quit and started http://Flat.to which eventually got acquired by CommonFloor 12 months later. It still runs as a separate company and we recently pivoted to Flatchat, it's one of the best product of it's kind, do try it. My Dad still thinks I will fail someday, I think so too, I will someday but even then I will not stop taking risks and giving my best. And I have huge respect for my Dad and whatever he did was right, and I don't think he was wrong at any point, he actually helped me. If you have seen the movie Whiplash, there is this line "The next Charlie Parker will never be discouraged." You can convince your son not to be an entrepreneur, but if he wants to be, he will be and you cannot do anything about it.

As the term itself suggests, cloud backup is nothing but backing up your resources and saving it to cloud. Cloud backup improves efficiency and decreases the chances of errors. And most importantly, it is cost effective which is why it is more often than not an obvious choice as a backup service.
