The Biscuit Factory Wedding // Newcastle Wedding Photographer
I know you are probably sick of hearing me go on about how much I love Newcastle, but I cant help it! It is such a great city and I go there every chance I get.
When Emma and Steve booked me to photograph their wedding at The Biscuit Factory I was so excited, a city wedding, plus it was in an Art Gallery, how AMAZING!?
The day certainly did not disappoint, with Emma and Steve getting ready along side their bridal party at Malmaison, right on the edge of the Tyne, and then heading by car up to The Biscuit Factory for the ceremony and reception.
This was such a fun and lovely day, plus the band were amazing! I highly recommend checking out Union Street!
Thanks guys for braving the cold and wet and coming out for pictures, definitely worth it!
Here is a sneak preview, I hope you love the pictures!

A Dreamy Shoot at Crook Hall
I met the girls from Mirror Mirror in Durham for the first time as a part of this shoot, they pulled every thing together and arranged for the make up and gorgeous dresses from Blue Bow Bridal company too.
We were able to use the beautiful grounds in Crook Hall as well as taking pictures inside the Hall itself!

A Wharfedale Grange Wedding // Leeds Wedding Photographer
  Hiyaaa!
So yesterday was my last wedding of 2018, and it was a hell of a wedding to finish off with!
From the bride and groom travelling from the church in a tractor, to cocktail hour and sparklers, this wedding was simply amazing!
Plus it was an absolute pleasure for Wharfedale Grange to have me back because they love me so much. This is such a stunning wedding venue, and it always looks amazing, even more so when there are beautiful Christmas trees and wood fires!
I hope you love these pictures, I’ve picked a selection that hopefully shows what a lush and fun filled day it was!
Big shout out to the wonderful Leafy Couture for making all of the flowers look stunning, as always. Also an absolute pleasure to work alongside Lenik Wedding Cinematography for the first time, what a dude!
All the love, enjoy the pictures, and have a great Christmas!

A Hallgarth Manor Wedding in Durham
  Hiyaaaa!
Today I am sharing with you guys the lovely wedding of Becca and Dan. Me and Becca first met when I was the photographer for a styled photo shoot at Crook Hall in Durham, and she loved my work (Obvs)
Becca and Dan got married in Shincliffe Village and then moved on to Hallgarth Manor in Pittington, Durham.
The day was so fun and relaxed and everyone was having an amazing time, which always makes taking pictures loads easier! This is the first wedding where I’ve seen a bride literally finish getting ready upstairs, walk straight downstairs and out the front door to the church, all in one smooth motion. Skills.
I hope you love the pictures!
Daz Mack x
  Hallgarth Manor
“We got married at Shincliffe church and then moved on to Hallgarth manor. On my way home from murton after collecting my little boy Theo, I drive home the backroads and always drove past Hallgarth and loved the feel from the outside. I then called in just after Christmas and it was still decorated with a gorgeous big tree etc and I just loved it. From the moment I walked through the door I knew it was the venue for me and Daniel.
I just love the colour navy so I decided on that colour for bridesmaids and suits/ flowers and ribbons, but other than that I just wanted a lot of entertainment singers/ photo booth/ 2 DJs just to aim for something for everyone.”
The Wedding
“I would just love to thank daz for how he managed to capture mine and Dans photos in the most relaxed and calm way. No body felt pressured or uncomfortable. And for us this was crucial!
I think our first dance was probably our favourite part of the day. We weren’t planning on having one until the day before. But to hear daniel say it was his favourite part had to make it my favourite bit too!”
  Any advice for future couples?
Honestly just enjoy every second. Don’t worry the day before about little things because honestly most people don’t even notice.
I was at the garden centre buying 24 mini plants to put in teacups, I set the whole table and then we had to take them off because there wasn’t enough room for our afternoon tea stands haha! So no body even saw them! My poor gran was up to the eyeballs in soil planting then with me!

Music by Mark and Hattie! They were great.

my flowers were supplied by Shincliffe Nursery.

A Walton Hall Wedding // Warwickshire
  Heyyyy!
I’ve put this quick preview together of the gorgeous Helen and Adrian’s wedding at Walton Hall in Warwickshire.
Walton Hall is a stunning building, and the entire day was beautiful, with the ceremony being held in the church on the grounds, and then into Walton hall for the reception including live music.
From Walton Hall: “Located just a stone’s throw away from Shakespeare’s birthplace, the 4-star Mercure Walton Hall Hotel & Spa is 16th century Grade II listed building with a wealth of character. Situated within 65 acres of private grounds, the hotel is tucked away amid woodland and beautifully maintained greenland.”
I asked Helen and Adrian what their favourite part of the day was: “The moment we walked out of Church and realised we were married and having all our friends and family throwing confetti at us. Looking around all we could see were smiles and or course we were both beaming.”
I hope you love these pictures! If you’d like a brochure sending use the contact form at the bottom of this page!

A South Causey Inn Wedding // Wedding Photographer – Durham
Ah check out these two, how cool!?
Paul is an amazing Tattoo artist at Skin n Needles in Middlesbrough (I have an awesome back piece from him), so naturally this was going to be a great day full of style.
Paul and Danyell (Bear and Bunny) travelled up to Gretna Green to get married over the border, and then headed back down to The South Causey inn for their evening reception. Their pug Viggo even got to come along to the whole day! Bonus!
They even have matching palm tattoos of the Anvil at Gretna Green to commemorate their wedding!
As you can see from the pictures The South Causey inn looked amazing, and really suited how they wanted to style the day (Check out the awesome cake toppers).
I hope you love the pictures!

A Wedding At The Faversham // Leeds Wedding Photographer
This was my first time in Leeds! Can you believe it!!?
I parked up and walked into the city centre, as that’s where Tasha was getting ready. I hadn’t eaten and found an amazing food court, I literally just followed the smell. My luck was out as the queues were all huge so I ended up with a corned beef pastie from Greggs, which was still lush obviously.
I went and met Tasha at Dakota Deluxe Hotel, a very stylish hotel in the city centre which is where she was having her bridal prep.
After this we all headed over to The Faversham (or “The Fav” as us cool kids call it) in an awesome little camper and I jumped out and got some pictures of the guests chilling before heading inside for the ceremony.
Tasha and Jimi had an awesome chilled out day in this very cool venue, and were such a pleasure to photograph!!
…and I can’t wait to have another wedding in Leeds to get some Noodles from that food court!
Check it out!!
Daz Mack x
  The Faversham Wedding Venue
What made you choose The Faversham?
“We loved it because of its music heritage, standing on the same stage as the Artic Monkey’s and Amy Winehouse is pretty cool. And we loved having everything under one roof, it made planning a lot easier and The Fav were very laid back about all of our plans, which kinda matches our style too.
We chose our date because it was the first weekend after pay day so we wanted to make sure everyone had enough money for booze (true story)“
  The Wedding
“On the wedding day we just wanted low key shenanigans, with a bit of bunting and gorgeous flowers dotted about the place.
Our wedding pictures were a breeze because we felt dead at ease with Daz. We were pretty set on not having loads of formal shots and Daz delivered on that. We’ve got a set of fab relaxed photos showing everyone enjoying themselves on our day, we love them.
My (Tasha) favourite part of the day was the speeches! You can’t top when your husband says his top reason for marrying you is because you’re his best friend (ahhh).
Our advice for future couples getting marries is to stress a bit for sure, but not too much. Yes you’ll want everything spot on, yes it’s a really special day, yes you’ll only do it once but honestly – no one else will notice if something isn’t quite as you wanted and at the end of the day you’ll be married to your one forever so don’t let anything distract you from that.”

An East Riddlesden Hall Wedding in Keighley
  Hey guys!!
This was my first time shooting at East Riddlesden Hall, a beautiful venue located in East Yorkshire.
Georgina and Nick had a lovely relaxed day, with a lot of time spent outside in the beautiful sunshine, and also in the stunning converted barn!
On the evening when East Riddlesden Hall was closed to the public we headed over to the gardens for some pictures, and this turned into a mini party!
I hope you love these pictures!
Daz Mack
  East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photography
What made you choose East Riddlesden Hall for your wedding?
Georgina and Nick:
“We had seen other venues, but as soon as we walked into the barn at ERH, all other venues were forgotten. It completely blew us away! It suited the style of wedding we wanted perfectly, and we knew that it would make our day perfect. The grounds also make the perfect backdrop for photographs.
We chose to go for a laidback, rustic and relaxed style for the wedding. We didn’t want it to feel overly formal, so we chose a barn setting and simple whites and leafy greens for our flowers.”
  The Wedding Day
“This may sound Cliché, but my favourite part of the day was when I saw Nick standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me. I felt so overwhelmed with love, like my heart could burst out of my chest. There is nothing that compares to that feeling of certainty and pure happiness.
We loved all of our wedding pictures, and really enjoyed having them taken throughout the day. It felt fun and natural, and not forced. My biggest tip would be to choose your photographer not only based on liking their previous photographs and photography style, but liking the photographer themselves. When you pick the right photographer, they don’t feel like a stranger at your wedding, they feel like a friend.
Our top tip for future couples would be to stop worrying about what others will think and just choose exactly what you and your partner want, it’s one day, which goes by so quickly, and you want to look back and know that it was perfect for the two of you. At the same time, don’t worry about every detail going to plan, at the time as long as the ones you love are there with you, nothing else really matters.”

My Top 10 Yorkshire Wedding Venues
Hiya!! I have had such a wonderful and busy summer this year, and I’ve shot at some of my local amazing wedding venues, and also travelled to lush new venues that I haven’t worked at before! So… Because I am such an amazing guy, I’ve put together this short list of 10 of my Top Wedding Venues in Yorkshire!
Enjoy!
  Danby Castle
Danby Castle (Esk Valley Weddings) is a stunning venue not far from Whitby. Plus some of its Lords include the most powerful in Medieval England. How cool is that!
I’ve made it no secret how much I love this place, as soon as you pull up and see how amazing it is, with the surrounding views, it will take your breath away!
From the gorgeous ceremony room, to getting group pictures inside the castle ruins, theres so many stunning spots for photos, and the barn is just amazing.
You can view one of my recent weddings from Danby Castle using this link, this wedding was even featured in Your North East Wedding Magazine recently! – Sammy and Nathan – Danby Castle Wedding
      Oaklands Weddings
Oaklands is a beautiful wedding venue in Hull, East Yorkshire. They have a HUGE tipi which is beautifully located with a forest on one side, and a field with gorgeous views on the other.
For the ceremony there is a jeti heading out over the water, with tiered seating for your guests, stunning!
You can view one of my weddings from Oaklands by using this link! Oaklands Wedding – Natalie and Tom
      Yorkshire Wedding Barn
Yorkshire Wedding Barn is a venue I haven’t worked at just yet, but I’m really excited to! I’ve heard nothing but good things, and how amazing it is!
From their site: “Sweeping down the exclusive drive you will be amazed by the far reaching views before arriving at the beautiful and newly built stone barn. The wedding barn is set in the village of Gilling West, Richmond you will be captivated by the tranquillity and breath-taking views of North Yorkshire and Dales.”
Doesn’t that sounds amazing?! I’m very excited to be heading here next year!
  Wharfedale Grange
Wharfedale Grange is a stunning wedding barn in Leeds. The first wedding I photographed here was in a Tipi in a field and I fell in love with the place. From the stunning views of fields all around, to being spoilt for choice for where to head out for pictures, Wharfedale Grange really does host an amazing day.
As one of Wharfedales Grange’s recommended suppliers (Check me out, right!?) I got invited along to showcase my work at their latest open day and see the barn as it had just been open, and wow! It is stunning, there literally has been no expense spared and it really does need to be seen in person, as it is just mind blowing!
You can check some of my pictures of Wharefedale Grange using this link – Wharfedale Grange Wedding
        East Riddlesden Hall
It was my first time visiting East Riddlesden Hall this year, and needless to say I am VERY excited to get to photograph there again!
East Riddlesden Hall is a Manor located in West Yorkshire, with weddings taken place in the Grade II listed Barn. Once the Hall is shut to the public you get full use to the entire grounds on the evening (We headed over and done shots, but you can do what you like!).
This place really is beautiful, and the wedding team were really on the ball and taking care of everything!
Check out some of the pictures from this beautiful venue and wedding here – Georgina and Nick – East Riddlesden Hall Wedding
      Rudby Hall
Rudby Hall is a gorgeous stately home situated in North Yorkshire. the first time I photographed here was a winter wedding, so the place looked amazing with Christmas trees up and roaring fires. It was so cosy and comfortable that every one just loved the place.
I’d definitely recommend this place if you love gorgeous buildings with beautiful views all around, whether its a lovely outdoor summer wedding, or indoors for a cosy winter wedding, this place will certainly do the trick.
    Grinkle Park
Grinkle Park is a beautiful country house nestled in the Yorkshire Moors, with Whitby just down the road. There are beautiful gardens and even a lake on the grounds which are ideal for pictures!
Having shot here twice in the summertime, I can appreciate how awesome this venue lends itself to relaxed weddings, where guests can just chill outside and drink whilst taking in the views (and canapés).
  Lartington Hall
This year was my first time working at this gorgeous venue, and it didn’t disappoint! From being surrounded by beautiful scenery and gorgeous views, as well as sheep, there are plenty of options for pictures.
This country hall is also really deceiving. As soon as you walk in the place seems to go on forever, with the hall leading on and on to different rooms. Definitely some Tardis work going on here!
Check out some of my recent pictures here – Emma and Rick – Lartington Hall Wedding
      Whinstone View
Wrays Barn at Whinstone View is a gorgeous venue which can hold weddings both inside or outside. I got to shoot here three times this year, and each was simply unique and stunning.
With gorgeous views and Roseberry Topping just down the road, it is definitely worth a quick ten minute drive out for some pictures of just the two of you near one of the iconic landmarks of the north east.
This place quickly went to the top of my food list when they served us a BUCKET of ice cream for our dessert. Legends! Each wedding has been so different with three course meals, a BBQ and even a Fish and Chip van! and I enjoyed them all!
One of my recent wedding previews is here – Scott And Rachael – Whinstone View Wedding at Wrays Barn
  Middleton Lodge
Middleton lodge is a gorgeous country estate set in North Yorkshire. I’ve shot a few weddings here as well as exhibiting at wedding fairs, and each time I visit I just love the place.
From summer weddings on the lawn with garden games for the kids. To being inside the House with the fire roaring on those comfy chairs, this place has a lot to offer, especially with the addition of weddings inside of the new Fig House.
I’ve seen weddings both inside of the round room at the bottom of the stairs, as well as outside in the garden, and both just look amazing in this setting.
You can see one of my wedding from the beginning of this year by using this link – India and Richard – Middleton Lodge Wedding

An Oaklands Wedding In Hull // Wedding Photography
Hiyaaaaa!!! This is the wonderful chilled out wedding of Natalie and Tom.
I went to Natalie and Toms house for pictures of Natalie getting ready with her bridesmaid, and then we headed over to the beautiful Oaklands for an outdoor wedding ceremony, and then an amazing party in their huge Tipi!!
I asked Natalie and Tom about their wedding and how they pulled off such a lush day and they sent back the following! Enjoy!
  Oaklands Wedding Venue
We chose Oaklands after looking round so many other venues and not particularly liking them and not really finding anything that suited us!
We’d almost signed a contract with a marquee company but the contract had the wrong date on and while we waited for them to send us the replacement a flyer came into my work advertising Oaklands.
We visited it and I got goose-pimples when we pulled up I knew that this was the place to marry Tom! It was stunning with the tipis and the jetty into the lake where the wedding ceremony was to be held.
  The Wedding
I’d been mulling over the fact I’d quite like my mum to join my dad in giving me away for a while as I feel like they’ve both been there for me my whole life and have been supportive and I think sometimes the “mother of the bride” gets no real role in the day.
My mum is not very confident and I didn’t think she’d agree but when I asked if she’d contemplate it she said of course she would! So I had my lovely pops on one side and my mum on the other (double protection in case I fell!).
Tom always said he wanted the day to “be like a party not a wedding” so we wanted everything relaxed and easy going and one thing we really wanted was to be outdoors as much as possible.
Our first dance song was quite unique. I’m a bit of a McFly fan (happy to admit they’re my guilty pleasure) and I fell in love with a cover of one of their songs “Love is on the Radio” which Tom Fletcher (from McFly) did with his wife, Giovanna, for his YouTube channel.
I thought it was such a beautiful version and the words of the song just fit perfectly to how I feel about Tom (my Tom, not the one from McFly haha) it gives me goosebumps and makes me well up whenever I hear it!
The tipis were decorated with bunting and paper lanterns and didn’t really need anything else as they were beautiful on their own, I’d bought some wicker hearts from Primark and put a few of those up and some wicker heart fairy lights.
I also saved jars for a few months (and asked ladies at work to do the same for me!) from pasta sauces, olives and coffee and decorated them with twine, ribbon and fake flowers to put flowers in for the table decorations, I wanted things quite simple and pretty.
I also made my name cards myself and the table plan board, it didn’t turn out quite how I had envisaged but I liked the fact it looked “homemade”!
One of the most memorable parts was probably one of Tom’s best men doing one of our readings of “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and the News (you know the one, from Back To The Future, one of our favourite films).
It took us a while to decide on readings as we didn’t want anything cheesy and as a joke Tom said what about turning the song into a reading and we laughed and then after reading the words we thought it was quite pretty really and decided for a bit of a laugh we’d get Lewis to read it during the ceremony.
It made lots of people laugh when it dawned on them what it was (we also walked back down the aisle to the song).
  Wedding Photography
Daz Mack is an absolute gem of a human being, one of the nicest people we’ve ever met!
He has a way of making you feel like you’re just having a laugh with a mate and then you forget you’re having your picture taken so his shots are natural and relaxed and then your mind is blown when you see his final product.
  Tips for Future couples
Make sure you get your groom on-board with everything and do all the planning together! Tom and I planned everything together and we stuck to the ideas and plans we wanted without having our minds changed by other people’s views.
It’s your day so do what makes you happy, there are no rules as to what you should or shouldn’t do, so do what makes the both of you smile.
Also, take time to appreciate the amazing day that you’ve put together and have 5 minutes with each other to give each other a high 5 for putting together an awesome wedding!
