hello. been a while!

i've just been writing home beckons the wanderer as an original lately. i unfortunately do not see me returning to writing fics in the foreseeable future (completely burnt out on aot and have been for a long time im sorry 😭), but i'm having fun writing and fleshing out the lore. this is what im meant to do, i think. it's florian and emiri's story now.

thanks for the appreciation you've shown me. maybe i'll be back someday, but i doubt it. just kinda wanted to say something and give an update to what i'm doing. still writing, but differently.

37 of my fics were on there, but it seems they've since been removed (at least the last time i checked that is, maybe they're back on). but yeah they took all my completed aot fics and put them on the site, but i felt sorta powerless to do anything about it since to request a takedown you had to provide irl information — which is just incredibly unsafe. we're in a very icky place of stealing people's work. if it happens again, i may need to keep my fics exclusive to ao3 years, which i am reluctant to do but may have to.

What did you think of the blood and cheese scene from the latest episode?

i just watched the episode finally!!! blood and cheese is such a tricky thing 😭because i am team black and team rhaenyra forever and ever!!! but ugh jaeherys such a sweet little baby... and helaena sweet angel, phia acted so beautifully during the scene!! avenging luke but at what cost... i also love seeing that it will cause conflict between rhae and daemon bc of the choice and the fallout that'll ensue.

in terms of the controversy on how it was adapted versus the book, i think it is definitely a little weaker (mostly bc of the missing characters and the lack of making helanea choose which is some of the real horror in the book scene!). however!! still very effective!! im glad we did not see the beheading 😭😭 but those sounds were Horrendous. overall i think it was pretty well done!! obviously horrible morally because he was just a little boy but its still team black for me!

oh! im so sorry, but i do not feel comfortable adapting another writer's fic! i know it can be disappointing when a fic we like is discontinued, but the writer's decision to abandon their work is something we should respect, and that's something that is important to me as a fellow writer 🙏 i would encourage you to avoid requesting writers to continue another writer's work! i know you don't have bad intentions but that's just my personal feelings on the matter! that is someone else's brainchild, and i know i wouldn't want someone else to adapt my fic even if i abandoned it. even though i am unfamiliar with that fic and the author is an orphaned account, i still want to respect the effort that went into their work and to coming up with their idea!
