CHAPTER 6: SOME DAY ONE DAY
Mustapha's P.O.V
"Mustapha, Beware the storm that gathers here listen to the wise man" A voice rang in my ears as I felt myself drifting down what seemed to be a river. "Listen to the warning" The voice rang in my ears once again before I felt a force pull me down I opened my eyes and gasped for air as water began to fill my mouth.
I battled against the force that kept pulling me down when I suddenly felt my go slack and drifted down to the river bed. But then all of a sudden I heard the voice repeat the phrase. "Beware the storm that gathers here listen to the wise man" My eyes began to close once again, and then a woman's compaction came into view.
This must be a dream, yeah it's just a dream.......I must have a high fever.
"No....it can't be. Modea ?" I questioned as bubbles left my mouth and my eyes finally closed.
Then I felt the woman place her hand on my cheek causing me to open my eyes. "Yes, it's me Modea the Goddess Of Order.  Please Mustapha, listen to the warning. My brother Ulrus is attempting to escape from his prison in the seventh sea" She spoke with great fear.
"Why me? I'm just a poor boy I don't know what to do. What warning?" I moved but I couldn't near myself as bubbles continued to come out of my mouth once again.
"Believe it or not that serum in your system is part of your destiny now and as of now there's a storm brewing due to my brother and sister Ulrus, God Of Destruction, and Gatune, Goddess Of Death attempting to break out of their restraints in the second sea and Anor mountain" Modea held my face.
"What storm, When will it occur?" I felt my body grow weakModea
"You'll feel just as time goes on Mustapha" She gave me a half smile as she leaned in to kiss me when I felt oxygen enter my lungs....
As I inhaled I opened my eyes as a chilled sensation coursing through my veins and began to panic.
" Easy sweet boy I'm almost done" Lady Satine's voice swam through my ears.
I turned my head to see her as she held a vial of blood in her hand.
" What do you need my blood for?" I questioned with exhaustion in my voice.
" it's for the project that I'm still working on with Harold assisting me of course" Lady Satine removed the needle from my arm and bandaged it up. " Alright all done now get some rest before you do your evening chores" She kissed my forehead before standing up.
" Yes, mama" I gave her a weak smile before she walked away.
I turned my head the other way to see Delilah fiddling with something as she had her back to me.
Not long after she was finished she turned back towards me and said. "Oh good your fever broke I was wondering when that would end".
" How was I?" I re-positioned myself in my bed.
"You were pretty out of it but in the meantime take this your body needs to heal" The sprite poured a golden liquid into a mug and held it out for me to take.
I took the mug from Delilah. "What's this?"
"It's sort of like Mead just drink it" She sat down on what seemed to be a makeshift bed.
"Okay bottoms up I guess" I uttered under my breath before downing
the Mead adjacent substance as a bitter taste was plastered all over my mouth. "Bloody hell for the love of gods. What was in that?" I handed the mug back to her.
'It's a little clan secret" Delilah winked at me as she sent the container down beside her.
I laid back down in bed when all of a sudden a feeling of relaxation
wash over me and it seems I fell asleep until...
"Mustapha time to get up sweet boy" Lady Satine's voice echoed in my ears.
I gingerly opened my eyes as her face slowly came into view as a wave of giddiness slammed my body.
"Mama?" My voice cracked.
"Hello sweet boy tea is on the table" She gave me a gentle half grin.
"Alright I'll be right down" I returned the half grin.
"Okay," Lady Satine turned to Delilah. "Delilah?" She placed her hands behind her back.
The sprite looked up from the journal that was in her lap." Yes my lady?".
"Please aid Mustapha with the stairs" Lady Satine maintained the grin that was plastered on her face.
"Of course my lady if you don't mind me inquiring. What's for tea?" Delilah placed the pen that was in her hand inside the journal.
"Pasties, the boys love them" Lady Satine brought her hands to the front.
"Oh, how lovely I haven't had on in ages" Delilah grinned softly.
"Good we'll be waiting for you both at the table" Lady Satine grinned once again before exiting my bedroom.
"Alright then let's go" The sprite sat the journal down beside her makeshift bed before she got to her feet and aided me out of bed and then towards the stairs.
"Thanks" I uttered under my breath.
"You're welcome now, watch your step right here" She pointed at the threshold.
We slowly made our way down the stairs and the quaint kitchen where the others were waiting for us.
"There they are" Meadow spoke through a small half grin.
"You look better Mustapha" Deaqe spoke with his hand over his mouth as he chewed his food.
"Thanks" I managed to give a weak smile as we sat down at the table
"Well help yourselves you two" Lady Satine gestured with her hands towards the food as she grinned softly.
"Thank you my lady this looks wonderful." Delilah grinned shyly.
"Can someone pass the beef pasties please?" I leaned forward and stretched out my hand.
"Sure thing here you go mate" Harold rose to his feet, picked up the platter of pasties, and held it as I took one.
I glanced over at the sprite as she eyed the three platters of the pastries with her lips folded inwards.
Before saying. "You wouldn't happen to have a chicken or a vegetable pastie would you? I don't eat beef or pork".
"We don't have chicken, but we do have vegetable pasties they're Harold's favorite"  Meadow held the platter as she took one.
So we all ate joyfully as we chatted about different subjects about a conference that coming up soon apparently and as we got to know Delilah. Once tea was over I gated the dishes with Delilah's assistance of course, when Lady Satine entered the kitchen.
"Mustapha, Can I have a word with you when you get finished?" She spoke through a gentle grin.
I turned to her. "Of course mama".
"You know what, go ahead Mustapha I'll take over while you two have a chat" Delilah turned her head as she continued to wash the dishes.
"Are you sure darling?" I turned my head to face her.
"Yeah go ahead. You have my permission to take him my lady" The sprite turned to Lady Satine and gave her a soft grin.
I gingerly walked my way over to Lady Satine as she addressed the sprite."Thank you Delilah once I'm done with him I'll come pull you aside and we can discuss your salary".
"Of course my lady" The sprite spoke through a soft grin.
So with that Lady Satine and I walked out onto balcony where we stood at the raining.
"How are you feeling?"She placed her hand on my back.
"I feel ill. Why is that mama?"  I took a deep breath as a wave of nausea came over me.
"You ingested that serum that, I had you boys obtain for me it's highly toxic and there is no antidote for it but unfortunately it is slowly killing you from the inside. It starts out making people feel ill then if your symptoms are left untreated it can be deadly. But in your case this symptoms can be manageable with the right remedies" Lady Satine looked out over the city.
"So I'm doomed then" I did the same.
"Mustapha no you're not doomed think of it as a setback. Maybe one day I will find a cure for you" She turned to me.
"Really?" I continued to look over the city.
"Look at me Mustapha" Lady Satine spoke sternly forcing me to look at her.So I did just that as a sudden pain brought me to my knees. "Mustapha!.......Delilah, Can you come out here please?!"  Lady Satine spat as she held me in her arms.
At that moment Delilah rushed outside to find us out on the balcony.
"What's wrong my Lady?" The sprite knelt down in front of us.
"Go fetch Harold for me please he's in the laboratory in the basement" She rubbed my back as she spoke to Delilah.
"Okay I'll be right back" Delilah rose to her feet before walking away.
"Mama?" I uttered as tears begin to stream down my face.
"I'm here sweet boy you're going to be okay I promise".....

CHAPTER 5: MISFIRE
Deaqe's P.O.V
As we continued our journey home Mustapha slipped in and out of coherency.
"How much longer wagoner?" Delilah asked as she cradled Mustapa's head in her lap.
"Not long my lady I can see the bay of the fourth sea now" The wagoner spoke with a smoke-filled voice.
"Good he needs better medical attention than what I can give him at the moment"  She began wiping the beads of sweat from her forehead.
"I'm sure Lady Satine has something that might do the trick"  Harold crossed his leg as he folded his arms.
"You think so?" Delilah looked up at the pixie.
"Maybe, let me see what I can do" The pixie gave her a wink.
Not long after we arrived at the bank of the Fourth Sea outside of  Adorar, my hometown. As we were getting off of the wagon Delilah sat a very drowsy Mustapha upright.
"Alright lads, I need someone to take Mustapha from me so I can sand up" The sprite held the strangling up by his shoulders.
"I'll get him"  Meadow extended his arms waiting to receive the strangling.
"I'll be on standby" I put my hands on my hips.
Once we got Mustapha off the wagon Delilah followed shortly behind as we made our way to the awaiting boat.
"How's he doing?" Delilah swept a strand of jet-black hair away from the strangling's face.
I placed my hand on his forehead ."He's starting to get feverish".
"Okay he needs better medical attention for sure" Delilah put her hands on her hips.
After what seems like an eternity we got on and off the boat with ease but when we got to the apothecary shop there was the woman from the festival standing behind the counter with a smile plastered on her face has she came out from behind. as she walked over to us, she began transforming from an old hag and into a beautiful woman.
"Mama?" Harold questioned with great disappointment in his voice.
" Yes Harold, Did you get it?" Lady Satine folder her arms.
"Yes and no you see we had a mishap at the festival" Meadow tapped his fingers together.
" Oh I saw, there is a conference at the house of the Lord Bulsara and the four of you are required to come. it's only in a few days time so Mustapha has plenty of time to heal from whatever is ailing him" Lady Satine gave us a wink.
"So you know about Mustapha ingesting the serum?" My eyes widened in shock.
" Yes, my dear I do know about it right now it is no big deal but there is another way of getting it" She smiled softly after before looking up and making eye contact with Delilah. " And you must be Mustapha's nursemaid his room is upstairs and to the left Deaqe can give you a hand with getting him up the stairs".
" Thank you my lady. I hope I won't be too much of a burden on you" The sprite return the smile.

CHAPTER 4: BRIGHTON ROCK
Harold's P.O.V
"Death is all around, the new king is among us" A voice spoke in almost a whisper.
"What new king? ...I- I -I don't understand" I stuttered in confusion
"You need to protect him at all costs" The voice whispered again
"What are you saying?" I questioned the voice from beyond
"Protect him" The voice began to vanish into thin air.
" I don't understand. What new king? There hasn't been one over five centuries!" I spat as I ran after it.
Then there was a voice that said. "Harold wake up we got to go. Harold?" when I felt a pair of hands shake me. "Harold, Harold wake up we need to go" the voice became more transparent. I opened my eyes to see Delilah sitting on the edge of the small bed.
"Delilah, where are we going?" I sat up in bed and I wiped away blocks of sleep from my eyes.
"We are going to Colistone Key" Delilah spoke through a half smile.
"We're going home?" I drew my knees up and wrapped my arms around them.
"Yes Harold you're going home and I'm coming with you now get up we must be going there's a boat waiting for us" Delilah stretched out her hand for me to take.
I took Delilah's hand and rose to my feet before exiting the tent where we entered the tent that sat next door which revealed a very ill Mustapha, who was fast asleep.
"Mustapha time to get up we must be going" She sat on the side of the bed while speaking in a sweet and soft tone.
Mustapha opened his eyes as a curtain of jet-black hair hung before him. "Delilah, where are we going?".
"We're going home mate" I step forward as I put my hands behind my back.
Mustapha sat up in bed. "Good, we have to tell Lady Satine that we failed her".
"Fingers crossed she won't be pissed" I mumbled under my breath.
"Yep," Mustapha matched my tone as he attempted to get out of bed.
"Easy had you're still very weak" Delilah grasped his hand and aided him.
Mustapha put his feet lightly on the ground. "Thank you dear".
"Now that we got you up it's time to go there is a boat waiting for us" Delilah aided him with his posture.
So at that moment the three of us made our way toward the outskirts of the small settlement to find Meadow and Deaqe standing alongside a woman.
"Bloody hell" Meadow whispered under his breath.
"Mustapha?" Deaqe raised an eyebrow as a concerned expression was plastered on his face.
"Hello, darlings" Mustapha's voice was dry and raspy.
"Is it true?" The pixie lowered his voice in fear of our sponsor.
He nodded as his knees began to buckle beneath him.
"Come on let's get you all on the wagon that will get you to the ferry before Mustapha faints" The woman spoke through a shy half grin.
"Thank you Genny" Delilah matched the woman.
"Pleasure is all mine now come right this way" Genny motioned us to follow her as she began to walk away.
So with that, we went down the road to the wagon where we bid farewell to Genny before we got our way to Brighton Rock, and from there we headed to what we call "The Key". As we were on the road Mustapha began to fall ill again.
"I think I'm going to be sick" Mustapha spoke through the side of his mouth as he took slow deep breaths.
"Wagon halt!" Delilah spat harshly.
Then with great force, the wagon came to a complete stop as the two of them got off of the wagon before Mustapha emptied his belly.
"Poor block that serum fucked him up badly" Deaqe lowered his voice.
"Meadow I need you!" Delilah spat in desperation.
"Oh shit......I'm coming love!" Meadow spat in return as he got off the wagon and ran over to aid the Sprite.
I looked up in their direction to see a ghostly and weakened Mustapha.
"I couldn't agree more Deaqs" I rose to my feet ready to lend a hand.
Once the three of them got to the wagon Meadow and Delilah hoisted the strangling into the cart as Deaqe and I aided him onto the floor.
"Ahhh! Let me go!" Mustapha cried out in agony.
"I know I know let me get into my bag here and give you something" The Sprite spoke in a tone that only a mother could have as if she took care of an ill child, as she pulled her bag off of the seat and rummaged through it.

CHAPTER 3: DOING ALRIGHT
Meadow's P.O.V
"Death is all around, the new king is among us" A voice spoke in almost a whisper.
"What new king? ...I- I -I don't understand" I stuttered in confusion
"You need to protect him at all costs" The voice whispered again
"What are you saying?" I questioned the voice from beyond
"Protect him" The voice began to vanish into thin air.
"Wait, wait, wait don't go please tell me more!" I spat as I ran after it. "No, no, no...." My voice trailed off. "No, no, no, no, no!" I spat as I opened my eyes and sat up quickly perhaps too quickly I gripped my head in agony.
"Good you came to" A voice swam through my ears.
I turned my head to see a woman standing at a small table. "Pardon me love but who are you?".
"The name's Genny and you must be Meadow" The woman folded her arms as she spoke through what seemed to be a somewhat standoffish grin.
"H-H-How do you know my name?" I stuttered in confusion again.
"I followed you and your mate to Myriani" Genny waltzed her way towards the bed and sat down on the edge.
"You wh-" I tried to get out before I was interrupted by its own, urge to empty the contents of my belly.
Then the next thing I knew was Genny shove my head down, aiming me towards a basin below me as I feet the blood rash I wanted from my head. I emptied my belly and raised my head to face Genny.
"What the hell did you do to me while I was knocked out?" My voice became dry as desert sand.
"Calaren it's like charcoal" Genny placed her hands in her lap readjusting her posture.
"Calaren?" My eyes grow to the size of saucers.
She nodded. "Yes".
"Why did you-" I was interrupted once again by a sudden urge to empty my belly.
"Why did I give it to you? You and your two mates had a locator spell placed on you and we needed to neutralize it so they won't track us" Genny's words are going in my ears as I aimed at the basin below.
I lifted my head once again."Hang on what about Mustapha? Where is he? Is he alright?".
She tucked a strand of hair behind her. "He's doing alright although your mate consumed some sort of serum and now is very ill Do you know anything about this?".
Then the small voice inside my head whispered. "Say no, say no, say no".
"Yes, but I can't tell anyone about it, or else our sponsor will kill us if any of us say anything" My voice quaked as I continued to feel the urge once again.
Genny tapped her fingers as a mischievous grin crept onto her face."Well then we might need to do something about that".
"What do you mean?" I tilted my head in confusion.
"You see we are Bohemians a resistance if you will. We are made up of a melting pot of races. We have eyes all over the place we are spies if you want to call us that, I think that Rhye is in deep peril, I can feel it" She rose to her feet and turned her back to me.
I sat up in bed once again. "Can you elaborate? I'm still trying to make sense of all of this".
"There is so much, where do you want me to start?" Genny looked out the window before taking a deep breath.
I drew my knees up to my chin. "Perhaps with the Bohemian spies and maybe a little about yourself".
"Walk with me and I'll explain everything" She waltzed over to me once again and held out her hands for me to take. As I placed my hand in hers I put my feet on the ground and uttered a faint "Thanks".
Once we exited the tent I looked around to see folks doing their daily chores and enjoying the day then I looked over to Genny.
"Like I said we have spies and I'm one of them but I think I know just the person that can help you lads with the issue that you have with your sponsor unfortunately I can't help you with that I have a few reconnaissance missions in the next few days. But enough of that there's much about me because if you know my mother you know me so what's the point?" She put her hands in her skirt pockets.
I maintained eye contact in curiosity."It seems to me that you have been in your mother's shadows".
"Yep pretty much" Genny looked over to me.
I look down at the ground. "I'm sorry" Then I look back up at her.
"Eh don't be they understood why I left ever since then I've been in this caravan and have been enjoying it since that day eight years ago" She spoke through a half smile on one side of her mouth. "Let's go see if the person that is good for that gig is ready to speak".
"What do you folks do you go on reconnaissance missions?" I paused in my tracks and turned to her.
Genny turned back to me. "We live our day-to-day life, but we also record what we see in here while being inconspicuous".
"Is that it?"I folded my arms.
She nodded. "Now let's go see the prospect".
We walked out a few hundred yards West to a large tent where Genny instructed me to wait outside before bringing out a woman dressed in apothecary equipment.
Genny turned to me introducing me to the woman. "Meadow this is Delilah" Then she turned back to the woman. 'Delilah this is Meadow".
"It's a pleasure my lady" I gave her a small half grin.
"The same to you as well my lord" The woman returned the expression.
"Delilah has been working diligently on nursing Mustapha back to health or at least well enough to travel back to Colistone Key" She grinned with delight.
"It's been quite the ordeal in the past few hours, but I think he will pull through although he is still unconscious and isn't ready for visitors at the moment, I will let Genny know when the time is right" Delilah clasped her hands at her waist.
"While we have my lady we have an issue you see it seems like Mustapha swallowed an item that our sponsor wanted us to acquire and no one can know that she asked us to acquire it Genny here told me that you could aid us with our sponsor. I guess you could pose as Mustapha's nursemaid" I shrugged as a wave of doubt watched over me.
"Of course, I wouldn't be happy to aid you lads just give me a few hours then I'll be ready" Delilah grinned with delight.

CHAPTER 2 : KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE
Deaqe's P.O.V
As the chaos began to dwindle Meadow and I raced through the forest trying to the rendezvoused point when I felt a gust of wind brushed beside me. Once Meadow caught up to me the two paused to catch our breath.
"Where did Mustapha and Harold go?" I put my hands on my knees as a sudden wave of exhaustion washed over me.
"The last time I saw Harold was when blew his horn and Mustapha got away on a horse" Meadow did the same.
"Is it just me or do you feel woozy? Because I'm feeling something" I slowed my breathing as I placed my hand above my brow.
"No, I feel something too come on let's get to Myriani before whatever is in us takes over" Meadow began to walk as I struggled to keep up.
The two of us continued to walk down to the fae village of Myriani when I fell to my knees a few yards away from the entrance.
"I can't go on I'm too weak" I closed my eyes as the exhaustion began to drown me.
"I can't go on either I think I'm beginning to see things because there's a figure coming our way" Meadow's words swam in my ears as I felt my body tip over and hit the ground.
That's when everything went to black but the next thing I opened my eyes to find myself laying on a small bed in a wagon.
"What the hell?" I placed my hand above my brow.
Then I heard a woman's voice say. "Good, you came to".
I look up to see the woman standing at a table concocting of elixir. "Who are you? Where am I?".
"Genny, now take this you and your mates have had a locator spell placed on the three of you" The woman stretched out her hand that had a vile of an elixir. "This will neutralize it" I tilted my head in confusion as I took the small vile.
"A locator spell placed on the three of us?" I paused to think Meadow.....Harold.....and.......I. "Wait what about Mustapha?" I sat up quickly perhaps too quickly.
"Before I tell you please drink that elixir" Genny sat on the edge of the bed.
"Fine" I rolled my eyes as I popped the cork and swallowed the contents. "Alright tell me about Mustapha, Is he okay?"I gave the vile back to Genny.
"Mustapha is alive but he's ill he swallowed some kind of serum" Genny got up from her spot on the bed and I began to feel my belly churning in knots as a wave of nausea washed over me once again.
"What did you give me?" My throat became as dry as desert sand.
"I gave you Calaren it has the same properties as charcoal" She leaned on the wall.
"Oh gods" I leaned over the bed contents of my belly and into a basin below me.
"That's it get it all out then I need you to rest before we send you lads back to Colistone Key" Genny folded her arms.
I nodded as I paused in between the contents of my belly. After I did just that the exhaustion drowned me once again as I fell into a deep state of unconsciousness, when I was unconscious I saw flashes of the festival, the Fairy Feller striking the nut, the old woman, Miles, and Harold with his horn. But it seemed that had frozen then I turned to see the Apothecary reaching out for Mustapha as he bolted with the vile in his hand but everything vanished as I heard a soft voice say.
"The new king is among us".
My head was spinning as thoughts began to flood it. The new king? I don't understand. What new king? There hasn't been one over five centuries. Then the voice turned into multiple voices that said.
"Death is all around keep yourselves alive more importantly, keep yourself alive."

CHAPTER 1: AS IT BEGAN
Mustapha's P.O.V
"There's nothing like people watching, Am I right?" Deaqe spoke through a devilish grin before taking a swig of mead from the flask that was in his hand.
"Hey save sore for the rest of us who would want a drink" Meadow playfully punched the pixie hybrid in the arm.
"Alright, alright, alright here you didn't have to bitch and moan" Deaqe smirked as he handed the flask to the pixie.
"What are you thinking about Mustapha?" Harold looked at me as I drew my knees to my chest.
"A lot of things Harold my dear changing " I shrugged.
"Thinking about your exile again?" Meadow fiddled with the top of the flask before taking a swig.
I nodded as I kept my eyes fixated on the glade and continued to watch the throng grow larger by the minute. "I can't believe it's been five years since then".
"Now I think about it I think we all met at the same time or not long after Mustapha was saved by Lady Satine" Deaqe sat back on his hands.
"I think that as well" Harold drew in his thin twig-like legs and rested his chin on his knees.
" I know it's nice that we are reminiscing about how we met, but, Can we go over the plan, please? It's complicated and confusing" Meadow finally let go of the bottle.
I turned to the three of them. "Alright, the plan is at the stroke of midnight the Fairy Feller will come in his mighty axe along with walnut and as he strikes the said nut Harold will create a diversion with his horn, then you and Deaqe will cause mayhem of course while I slither my way down into the throng and snatch the vial that's when we'll meet at the rendezvous point if we don't get caught by the guards".
"That seems simple enough I guess" Meadow shrugged as he picked up the bottle once again then took a swig.
"Now that we got that settled hand me that bottle before that thing bone dry" I spoke with a smirk as I stretched out my hand waiting for him to give it to me.
Meadow handed me the bottle before I took a large swig of the Bijou wine that was in the leather-bound bottle.
"May I suggest that you keep your wits about because we can't get this done if you just sit around and get shitfaced" Harold rose to his feet.
"Come on dear don't be so stiff it's okay have a while we wait" I stretched the bottle that was in my hand up towards him.
"Alright you got me" Harold rolled his eyes as he grabbed the bottle from me.
"There you go mate" Deaqe spoke through a half grin as he watched Harold take one large swig.
As I sat in my spot a figure dressed in an all-deep red wine-colored ensemble marched to the beat of the ceremonial drums playing behind it. As the figure continued to make its way across the glade and down to the long table that was covered with a magnificent cloth that had all seven flags of the seven nations of Rhye, several figures were dressed in Royal Blue, Green, Dark Purple, Orange, Yellow, Magenta, and White followed suit behind it.
Meadow rose to his feet and pointed into the glade."Okay I know the Blue are Mages, Yellow are Apothecary, and Magenta are Warlocks and witches but, Who's in the other colors?".
"If I'm mistaken Green are Sorcerers, Dark Purple are Astrologers,   Orange are Elementals and White are Seers" Harold did the same.
"I'm guessing the red is the mayor then" Deaqe looked at me as I rose to my feet and dusted myself off.
"Indeed it is the mayor darling and now it's just game before the Fairy Feller arrives" I put my hands on my hips.
"Who has the vile?" Meadow rose to his feet.
"That Apothecary on the left there he has what we need"  I pointed into the clearing as a smirk crept onto my face.
"I've seen some of the work that Lady Satine has done I think this could be the cure Rhye needs in the future" Harold took another swig out of the wine bottle.
As the sun began to set on the horizon the throng dubbed in size as folks waited to see Lord and Lady Fahrenheit the sovereigns of Gaith. I must say the festival was pretty tempting but I knew that I had to stay focused. Once at the stroke of midnight ceremonial bagpipes and drums began to play as the Fairy Feller entered the glade, the throng cheered as the sovereigns of Gaith exited the chariot and made their way to the thrones that were on the platform behind the table. Beside them was a woman who looked like his grandma but dressed in an avant-garde ensemble.
I turned to the three of them. "Show time darlings you know what to do. Meadow and Deaqe you two go along down there and man your stations while Harold and I wait for Miles to arrive".
"Well, you don't have to wait any longer my friend because look who just walked in" Deaqe rose to his feet and gave Miles a small casual nod.
Miles returned the nod and gave me a wink which I also returned.
"I can't believe you bribed this man to help us" Harold put down the bottle and exchanged it for his trumpet.
"Miles is an alchemist who's at risk of losing his laboratory so I offered him this gig" I grinned to myself watching Miles walk about the festival grounds. "Now ahead you two I'll be right behind you" I looked at Deaqe and Meadow.
"Alright good luck you guys" Meadow winked at the two of us before leaving the hill that we were on and making their way into the festival grounds.
"Go ahead I got this Mustapha" Harold looked at me and gave me a quick small nod.
"See you at the rendezvous point dear" I gave him a small grin before walking off of the hill and getting into my position waiting for Harold's signal.
I watched the Fairy Feller place the walnut on a stone slab and lift his axe above his head when I heard Harold's translation, echo through the glade when I put up my hood before hearing.
" What was that?",
"Was that a trumpet?".
"We're under attack!".
"Run for your lives!".
As so with that chaos ensued as I slithered through the festival grounds making my way to the Apothecary that was ahead of me by a few yards when I heard.
"Guards get that changing on top of the hill" Lord Fahrenheit's voice echoed over shrieking.
I looked back as I continued to slither my way toward the Apothecary. "No, no, no" I uttered under my breath as I watched the guards head towards Harold. but I couldn't watch any further, because I had to keep my eyes on the prize, and that prize was the vile Maggiore serum the thing that could power Lady Chandra's brand-new carriage.
As I made my way through I found myself only a few yards away from the Apothecary. Once I got close enough, I took the opportunity to pit pocket the vial and slipped it into my coat pocket, after I obtained the serum vile I heard the Apothecary spit. "Hey, you there get back here!".
I ran into a campsite took one of the horses and rode into the forest when I ran out of options for places to hide fear struck me as streaks of magenta swirled around me and I knew I had no chance to hide the vile so I fished it out of my pocket popped the cork and swallowed the contents inside. As the contents slithered down my throat it felt like it was on fire when I heard the pulsing of wings flapping and I looked up to see Harold, hovering in the air.
"It's about time you showed up!" I spoke with a grin of relief.
"Come to the rendezvouses points is due east!" Harold spat as he pointed in the general direction. "There's a shortcut follow me. Hopefully, we will lose these warlocks" He motioned me to follow him.
Moments later we entered a valley leading to the fae village of Myriani which was just down the trail and just a short time later, the two of us arrived at the rendezvous point which was Wolfsard Island as Harold and I came up on the alehouse I just got to get the horse and wing to get in the alley with Harold following shortly behind. Once we were in the alley we began to wait for Meadow and Deaqe when beads of sweat began to roll down my face as a wave of nausea washed over me and my vision began to go in an ounce of focus.
"Mustapha, Are you alright?" Harold's words swam through my ears.
I let out a cry of sheer agony as I felt my belly churning in knots I saw a head in the alley coming towards us then everything turned black.

The Tale Of Rhye PROLOUGE: PROCESSION
With a name like Maryanne Godiva, you may think that I'm like my mother Lady Godiva but you are completely mistaken I'm not like her at all, you see I'm not your typical human I'm half-blood. All I know is my father was Mage who lived up north somewhere near the sixth sea and I also may or may not have a half-sibling that's the limited information I got so far until one day I had the urge to flee from the shadows of my mother and the man whom she wedded and took me as one of his daughters. Although I was grateful I felt as if I couldn't spread my wings so, I told my folks who seemed to understand my dilemma and let me go off into the with a few bags packed, and haven't looked back since that very day eight years ago. As of the current time I've been selling handcrafted items that were by me and the other women and girls in the caravan that I travel with at local village markets while the men and boys go hunting and scavenging for food, but it seems like the land of Rhye would change in the blink of an eye. As I was doing my daily chores I walked passed our elder who sat on an old tree stump and said in a clear voice.
" Gather around children Because I'm about to tell you a tale of four men, a festival, a nut, and a vial of serum".
So I took the basket of laundry and walked over to sit down on a
stump listening intently.
