He definitely doesn’t like it but he’s accepting. It’s no surprise to him that other people would find you attractive!

He’ll probably make sure to get you something as well, even if it’s just anonymous. He needs to feel like he’s made you happy too. I can see him getting you a blanket, some chocolates, and maybe some jewelry if you wear it. And flowers of course! There will be some poetry in his card, too.

“It makes sense that you got so many gifts. But isn’t this one your favourite?”

He’s sad that he has to watch from the sidelines, but if he can help make you happy then that helps.

Nickhun

He’s upset, but he’ll control himself. Something like chocolates or cheap little trinkets as gifts from other admirers aren’t nothing, but they’re pretty run-of-the-mill in his opinion. He’ll probably just do something like remind you that something like a stuffed animal can be bought for very little money.

If you received something more heartfelt like an original poem and a handmade card or a more expensive gift then he would be more upset. He won’t waste too much energy on trying to figure out who sent it, but if he does find out then he’ll try to sabotage them. And if you are trying to find out then he’ll make sure to get in your way or try to convince you that it’s not a good idea.

“I don’t know if it’s a good idea to look for them. I mean, they could be anyone!”

For a gift he would get you flowers, chocolates, and jewelry/clothes.

Taecyeon

He’s probably going to get you something that shows up all the other gifts, and he’s going to make sure you know it’s from him. Once he knows he’s gotten you the best gift, he feels secure. All these other little things? Laughable! You’re all his!

He’ll toss something in the garbage saying, “I can’t believe they got you this! Hah!”

He’ll probably get you something extravagant on top of the chocolate, champagne (or some sort of alcohol), and flowers (and he’s going to send you a multitude of lovely bouquets). I don’t want to say a car, but it might well be something that expensive!

Wooyoung

He’s not happy. He’s probably going to make little comments which disparage all the other gifts you’ve received. Like “Oh, this brand of chocolate? Mmmm that’s a little cheap of them.”

Like I said in his headcanons post, he’s likely to confess on Valentines Day, but if he isn’t ready then he’ll get you a lovely gift still. It will probably be the best one you receive since he knows your likes and dislikes so well!

He’ll for sure get you chocolates and flowers and make you a mixtape, plus whatever it is you’ve been thinking of buying but you were hesitant because of the cost.

Junho

He’s going to be ready ahead-of-time to see if he can catch any of your admirers dropping off gifts. He’s probably also got his eye on certain people who he knows like you. He’s probably going to try to intercept every gift and replace them with one of his own. It’s weird, because he won’t make you think they’re all from one person (him). He’ll just remove any other person’s touch and all the sentimentality from the gifts so that they have no real connection to any of the original senders. The only reason he replaces them is because he doesn’t want to take away your chocolate or any of the other nice things you might receive.

And then he’ll send you one himself that is obviously from him but he pretends it’s anonymous.

“Oh, who do you think got you that? I remember you saying the other day that you like that brand...”

“What, you think maybe I got it for you? Hmmm... I don’t know about that...”

He’ll get you chocolates, flowers, your favourite wine, and something that probably only he knows you wanted.

Chansung

Ugh. None of these gifts are good enough for you. But if you enjoy them, who is he to stand in your way?

Rest assured though, he is going to (anonymously) get you the best present.

“All these gifts are pretty basic... That one looks good though. I think that person really does like you and appreciate you!” In saying this he’s going to be a little awkward and you may well pick up on the fact that it’s from him.

He’ll get you the finest flowers, chocolates, and wine, plus something heartfelt. For example, he might name a star after you!

Hmmmm I mean I'm not really sure how to write it. It's not something I tend to enjoy so I just don't think I would write it very well to be honest, unless maybe you had something more specific in mind?

You were walking home alone, and it was dusky out. You realize that there has been one man trailing you for a few blocks and multiple turns, and you don’t recognize him. There aren’t many people around, and you’re soon going to turn down a side street where there are likely to be no people at all. Thinking quickly, you instead enter a convenience store. You check where the man is, and you spy him leaning on the pole of a streetlight right outside the store, scrolling on his phone.

That was extremely suspicious, so you texted Minjun to see if he would be available to escort you the rest of the way back. Hopefully he wasn’t too far away, because you didn’t have any friends who lived nearby.

He turned out to be very close indeed, and he showed up sooner than you would have thought possible considering that he had been out on foot.

After he walks you home, you invite him in as you are not ready to be alone yet. You feel grateful to him and you appreciate the feeling of safety he has brought you. Actually, he always makes you feel safe and protected. You sit close to him on your small couch, leaning into him slightly and thinking about what you want to say.

“Can I kiss you?” 

The words that fall from your lips sound as sweet as honey to Minjun. And just like honey, they’re sticky enough to trap him.

He’s self-aware about how much you have thrown him off-balance. He’s not himself, and he knows it. He’s been crossing boundaries without your knowledge or invitation, and so he had set up certain limits for himself to protect you from him.

But now, you’re inviting him in, and his self control evaporates.

Desperation is all that’s left.

“Absolutely.”

Nickhun

You had gone out with friends and even though you hadn’t intended it, you ended up having a bit to drink. None of your friends were going in the direction of your house, and although you weren’t totally drunk, you were a bit more tipsy than you would like to be for heading home alone, so you asked Nickhun to pick you up and drive you home.

As he’s dropping you off at your place in his car, you linger, not wanting to leave. He’s curious about what you seem to be thinking about, and he’s about to ask if something is wrong before you speak up.

“Can I kiss you?”

He’s a bit surprised because he expects to be taking the lead, but he doesn’t dislike this at all. His gaze softens, and he leans in toward you.

“Of course,” he answers tenderly.

Taecyeon

Assuming he hasn’t made any moves yet, he’s probably been acting like a total sweetheart. He seems completely harmless, like a puppy.

You had been watching a movie with him, and you got sleepy. As you nodded off, you ended up leaning on him and resting your head on his shoulder. When you wake up, you realize he had allowed you to doze on him without interruption. You look into his face as you lift your head up, and he turns to look back at you. He just looks so handsome, and he’s so sweet...

“Can I kiss you?”

His eyes widen, because he wasn’t expecting you to be so far ahead of him. Then a wolfish grin spreads on his face, and his gaze becomes sharper. 

“Not if I get there first.”

He eagerly closes the gap to your mouth without saying another word.

Wooyoung

You had been having a difficult day, and he showed up at your door with some of your favorite yummy treats. It was really touching that he would do that for you, and you invited him inside, intending to share with him.

You were feeling emotionally close to him, and well looked-after. You stopped what you were doing and looked at him while you thought about how he always paid so much attention to you and always doted on you.

He soon notices that your gaze is fixed on him, and he shyly smiles back at you.

“What?”

“Can I kiss you?”

A light blush emerges on Wooyoung’s cheeks, and his mouth falls open. His heart and lungs seem to stop functioning properly. His eyes look to you lips, then back to your eyes. This is everything he wants.

“I would love that.”

Junho

You had just moved to a new apartment, and Junho was the only person available to help you move. You had finally brought all your belongings inside, and you and Junho ordered in some food. While waiting for the food Junho make a quick trip to the nearby convenience store and purchased some beers.

Settling down next to each other with your food and alcohol, you were tired, and you could tell Junho was a bit too. He had spent the whole day moving heavy items and boxes with you, and taking on the brunt of the labor himself. Honestly it had been... Pretty impressive. Now he was sending his charming smile your way, and he seemed to be continuously making a point of giving you little touches as you sat side-by-side. Should you read into it? The atmosphere in the room was very intimate and Junho seemed to have been showing off all day. It had worked, too; you were feeling a bit heady.

You decided to go for it.

“Um...” You vocalised to both gather your voice and seek his attention.

He paused and looked up at you, picking up on your serious tone. “Yeah?”

“Can I kiss you?”

He looked fleetingly surprised for a moment, but then a slightly cocky but sincere smile spreads onto his face.

“Go for it.”

Chansung

You had gone out with Chansung and a small group of mutual friends to a fun part of town which you hadn’t been to before. There were lots of restaurants, bars, and shops around to catch your eye. As your group left the restaurant you had been eating dinner and drinking in, you spied a shop that piqued your interest, and you wanted to stay behind and browse before heading to your next destination. However, nobody else was interested and you didn’t want to go off by yourself tonight when you were supposed to be hanging out as a group.

“I’ll stay with you!” Chansung piped up with a warm and friendly voice.

“Oh! Really? Thank you!” you said, lightly tugging on his elbow to signal he should walk with you.

You waved goodbye to your friends and said you’d see them soon as you walked side-by-side with Chansung.

Inside the shop, you cracked jokes and laughed together, and you lost track of time.

The shop was mostly empty, and in a corner that was far away from the register and partially obscured by racks of clothing, you became very aware of how close Chansung was behind you as you browsed through the items. You had had a crush on him for a while, so this closeness was giving you a feeling of electricity, and it focused all your mental energy on him.

You turned slightly toward him.

“Thank you for staying behind with me,” you began sweetly.

“It’s my pleasure,” Chansung responded with a genuine smile.

Probably due to a combination of the diminished space between you two, and also the remaining alcohol in your system, without much thinking you then blurted out, “Can I kiss you?”

Chansung looked stunned and dazed after you said that. His raised eyebrows and wide, slightly unfocused eyes told you that much. You couldn’t imagine how awestruck he really was inside his head . Slowly he opened his mouth to answer.

“Definitely.”

i saw your post about non-idol yandere 2pm's professions, and for some reason i can imagine minjun as a judge?? also, yeah i think nichkhun would be a cool professor or like a teacher. taecyeon could be an architect i guess? and wooyoung... hmm.. maybe a vet, since he likes animals. as for junho, i kinda imagine him as a designer for some reason?? not sure what kind of desginer tho. and chansung i think would be cool as a photographer!!

Hi Lucy! I read all of your 2PM yandere headcanons and PHEW, they were all amazing! I'm especially interested in Chansung's one though because it was such an interesting take on a yandere. Usually yandere idols are written in a domineering way, but I felt like Chansung had a more worshipping-his-darling quality to him? It was so cool! I hope you don't mind me asking, but I was curious if you think it's possible that the darling could somehow use Chansung's obsession with them to their advantage and manipulate him to let them go? I know you said at the end that he felt like he "owned" them in the event that the darling is kidnapped, but like what if the darling could gaslight him into letting them go, is that possible? Sorry, this is such a weird request, I know 🤣😅 but I love how you've written each yandere persona in detail I was really curious on your thoughts!

Thank you very much for your positive feedback anon! Yes I did write him in a slightly unusual way, at least in comparison to the yandere writing that is typically found on tumblr. I just couldn't picture Chansung as someone who would be harsh on the reader, so I went with a different kind of yandere.

It's not impossible that the reader could figure something out along those lines, but when it comes to this Chansung's logic is pretty straightforward so it's unlikely. Once his thinking gets that twisted, he feels extremely possessive and he feels that he needs to "protect" and "shelter" you from everything. However if the reader worked really hard at guilt-tripping him and said all the right things then it’s possible. The reader would need to be good with words and manipulation and be willing to take some chances though. They would also need to be able to cope with some very emotionally turbulent situations, because pulling this off would involve making him even more unstable.

Good question! I was picturing them as non-idols because it's not supposed to be them and I prefer non-idol yandere AUs. I have a few ideas for what their professions would be but I’m not sure yet:

Minjun: Music producer

Nickhun: Professor? Doctor?

Taecyeon: CEO? Or assassin? Leaning toward CEO but assassin would be hot

Wooyoung: Composer/conductor?

Junho: Assassin? Architect? Mmm not sure

Chansung: Art gallery curator? Photographer? Author?

We have a range of ideas here and Minjun’s is the only one I’m sure of lol

Chansung/Taec

These two are on a very similar level, so it’s a bit of a toss-up. 

Chansung hurts and kills people more frequently out of insecurity and having you on a higher pedestal. However, he is also more likely to try to hide it so you can be kept from seeing those things, and because he is afraid of how your image of him might change. 

Meanwhile, at a certain point Taec just doesn’t care and is also more impulsive when he does it. He thinks he is both completely justified and doesn’t care much how you feel about it. He isn’t flashy about it, because it’s more convenient if you are in the dark, but he won’t take the same pains as Chansung to make sure you don’t find out or catch him in the act. But of course, it takes more for him to hurt or kill someone over you because of his confidence.

Junho

He’s just a bit messier about it than Wooyoung, because he has more of a temper and he’s more impulsive when it comes to you. Most of the time he plans things out pretty well, but there are a few times where he is more impulsive and it might be a close call. Because of this all-or-nothing approach to planning, whether or not you discover him can be variable. He also feels less of a need to hide it than the others below him because part of him thinks it might be no bad thing for you to see all the things he does for you. 

Wooyoung

A bit more likely to injure or kill than Nickhun, because he is more possessive and less restrained. He is decently careful with it, but things are less meticulously planned than anything Nickhun does. However unlike Junho he is rarely totally spontaneous about it, so everything usually has some thinking and planning behind it.

Nickhun

Unlikely for a long time. If someone consistently presents themselves as a problem in your life, he will first try to scare them away with some intimidation. If that doesn’t work, some violence. Next up, he’ll be pushed to murder. Not something he wants to do, or something he saw himself doing before he met you, but he’s willing. You are unlikely to catch him because it will take a fair amount to push him that far, and he’s got a good hold on how to manipulate you and he knows how to plan certain things to keep them from you.

Jun. K

Generally he doesn’t take things to this extent. If he killed someone they would have to have done something really bad to you. Like, something illegal which has intentionally brought you physical harm. Then he’ll snap and hunt them down. Hurting someone, he might do. You’re unlikely to see it, in part because it’s rare and also because he does not want you to see him like that. Another reason is that if he is hurting someone it won’t be drawn out. Like, he’s probably not going to torture someone. If anything, he’ll punch someone and get in a fight, so it won’t even look sadistic to you if you see it. And he doesn’t have sadistic intentions anyway.

Least

The friend can be of any gender lol whichever you prefer, but i am once again asking for a gender neutral reader sjdhhsh im sorry if thats too much to ask

If anything it will be on me if anything cannot be delivered with a gender-neutral reader. It’s my job to make the reader as blank a slate as possible identity-wise

This man is not possessive, at least not for a yandere. He’s not the “I don’t want you to even talk to anyone else” kind of yandere. He is, however, protective. And he is pretty possessive over that role in your life. If your friend truly just walked you home and he is sure that nothing happened to you, he’ll be reluctantly grateful. However, next time he wants to be notified so he can head over to pick you up. Also, why were you getting drunk? Is there some issue on your life you need help with? And why were you getting drunk without him there? Were you just with this friend? He doesn’t like that, not one bit, but he can’t curb your freedom by telling you not to do that, right? But it’s so fucking dangerous out there and all of the world’s danger is multiplied several times when you get drunk... Maybe he could just suggest something...

“I don’t really like the idea of you drinking like this with just one other person. I’d like to be there next time. I know that may be asking a lot but it’s just dangerous out there, so please?”

If your friends is a lot bigger than you/could physically overpower you, and especially if they are a guy (bc whatever your gender-identity is, it is valid to be cautious around men especially) then all of his protective tendencies are magnified.

“Baby, why didn’t you phone me? I would have been there in an instant!”

“No, it wouldn’t have been inconvenient! You’re my whole world and I want to be the one taking care of you! Please, phone me first next time.”

And it’s a given that he’s also going to tenderly take care of you. You’re his number one priority!

Nickhun

“What on earth have you been doing?”

He’s upset and and rather suspicious. First of all, you are not seeing that friend again. What were they thinking, letting your get this drunk? It doesn’t matter if nothing happened to you, he’s going to bring you inside immediately and probably slam the door in that friend’s face. He won’t be happy with you either, but he’ll place the brunt of the blame on your friend.

“I don’t want you hanging out with them anymore if this is what you two do together.”

If he has any reason to suspect that your friend got you drunk on purpose for nefarious purposes, shit is going to go down.

First, though, he’s going to take care of you. He comes off as rather commanding when he does it, but he knows what’s best, right?

Taecyeon

When he first opens the door and finds you both on the doorstep he’s furious, and for a split second it does show on his face. His eyes widen, his nostrils flair, and his jaw tenses. However, with a twitch of his head a slightly tense smile appears on his face and he invites your friend in as he draws you into his arms.

He softly puts you to bed and briefly strokes your head, intending to come back later to tend to you. Then he comes back through to sit down with your friend and talk with them. His demeanor is calculating now. He studies them, learns about them, and tries to determine their intentions toward you.

As I said in his headcanons post, he’s pretty sure of himself and confident that you will choose him every time, but getting drunk with someone and them walking you home is not okay. You are being vulnerable with that person. That’s intimate. And he feels that that friend put you in a vulnerable state, so for their sake they should realize they are on thin fucking ice and they should choose their words carefully.

If he thinks you just got drunk together and there was nothing intentionally nefarious going on, then maybe nothing happens to them, but he’s still pissed at both of you. He tells you that if you want to drink, he wants you either at home or he has to be there, and anyone else present has to be someone he has vetted.

If he has the slightest inkling that you friend was going to try anything, even if they were just trying to get closer to you or separate you and him because they realize he’s a horrible partner, your friend is going to have something unpleasant happen to them. What happens will depend on what he thinks your friend’s intentions may be toward you, but the worse he finds them to be the more pain and terror your friend will experience.

The next morning he questions you as well.

“Why the fuck were you drinking with them?”

“Did they do anything to you?”

“Fuck, I bet they like you. Ugh! I’m gonna kill them!”

After he calms down he's going to passive-aggressively tell you off in a lilting tone

"You know you shouldn't have done that, right? And you won't do it again?"

He is also going to be quite touchy with you in a firm way. If you stop holding his hand he pouts, whines, and grabs your hand again with a tighter grip this time. And if he’s not trying to hold your hand, he has his arm around you or you’re locked in his embrace.

Wooyoung

I almost feel bad for him. This man is crushed.

He so wants you all to himself. So, so, so much. Questions shaped by anxiety race through his mind

Why was Y/n with them?

Were they alone together?

Who are they?

What’s their relationship?

Why did they get drunk?

Oh shit, did anything happen to them?

Did that asshole do something?

He won’t ask you too much at first, especially if you are very drunk. First he’ll take care of you. Then the next morning he’ll question you about it. If he feels like you’re hiding anything he’s going to keep pushing and get pretty intense. If you play your cards right there’s a chance of you getting out of this and he’ll start feeling secure again, but this is the sort of shenanigans which could lead to him not letting you leave the house until he feels better. But once he’s really got you isolated, is he going to let you go ever again...?

Junho

Oh my word he is pissed. Even if he recognizes this friend he’s going to react like “And who the fuck are you?” As in “Who the fuck are you to be walking Y/n home?” He’ll yank you inside, and just like Nickhun, he’ll slam the door in your friend’s face.

He’s going to be cold to you. When he gets mad he goes for the silent treatment first until he feels ready to talk to you again. Even if you’re drunk you will probably pick up on it.

“What’s wrong? What do you think? I just found you blind drunk with someone else!”

Even though he’s mad at you he’ll begrudgingly take care of you.

If he has any reason to suspect they could be competition for your romantic attention, he’s going to forbid you to see them again. He may even quickly put you to bed to rest and follow your friend. I can easily see him cornering them in an alley and giving them a quick couple of stabs in the abdomen, leaving them to hopefully bleed out as he heads home to tend to you, feeling a bit better.

If he is somehow 100% sure that you two are just friends and it was an innocent outing, he doesn’t want you two drinking together again, and whenever he sees them he’ll treat them coldly.

Chansung

If Wooyoung was crushed, Chansung is devastated. He’s worried about you and your relationship but he’s also absolutely infuriated at your friend. How fucking dare they pump your body full of poison! Even if going out was your idea, and you bought the drinks, it’s their fault. They must have influenced you.

He’s going to prioritize taking care of you. He’s going to get as much water into you as possible and do everything possible so that you aren’t hungover or anything in the morning. He’ll help you get ready for bed and make sure you go to sleep. All the while, he’ll be trying to find comfort in the fact that at least he’s the one doing all this for you, and hopefully the sober you will appreciate it tomorrow.

The next day he’s going to be so insecure. He wants all the reassurance possible. He’s going to be needy and clingy and he’ll want you in his sight and in his arms all day. 

The next order of business is yet another murder. Before he kills them, he’ll interrogate them and find out what their intentions were. It won’t change much, but he’ll make the death a bit slower if he thinks they wished to do you any harm.
