There’s a dragon in the library.
why there was a dragon in the library, not even the dragon itself knew. But it was there. For… some reason. Had Darksun called it? Its favorite mortal did have a thing against Lord Eclipses… it couldn’t pick up his scent though…
only the scent of books and fire, and for some reason pine sap…
pine sap and slightly burnt metal, like a marshmallow dipped in a fine magnetic dust…

Ah, one- one moment, my Lord!
Alcor powerwalks over to the center of the library, seemingly looking for something. But, of course, any and all previous thoughts dissipate like smoke when he sees the literal fucking dragon. He slaps a hand over his own mouth to stifle a shriek, even if the action is technically only for dramatics. He backs up quietly until his back is against the wall, throne room to his left, wherever the Lord was to his right. Surely it didn't hear him, right? Maybe if he just keeps quiet and- and inches his way back over to their personal hallway he can find the Lord and- he nearly jumps when his boot squeaks against the bare marble. Nope, nope, okay, he can wait for the Lord then. All he has to do is stay still and keep quiet, right, right??? Why did his glow turn on?? Off, off!

The huge beast turned its head to the portal, seeing nothing but blank emptiness on the other side. Fitting… it was either a completely dead dimension or one that Mizar simply didn’t want to rebuild. Either way, the place would suit the dragon for now.
It wandered over to the portal, shooting a glance at Alcor and sounding a chirp before going through.
for a second, it looked like the colorless blank it had just walked into had shifted, but the portal closed before Alcor could really get a good look at that.
once again, him and Mizar were alone in the library.
one heck of a spa day, huh?

That was… quite the clever solution to the problem at hand… those two would definitely need a bath afterwards, but it was certainly resourceful.
the dragon, while Alcor was running for the operator thing, had flown over to Mizar and was sniffing at the unconscious false god, careful not to actually touch him. That little servant had saved his life, and the beast was hoping he realized that.
It paced over to the operator, just far enough out of range for the Sun animatronic to not throw more of those glittery sparkle death bombs at it, tilting its head like a cat as he struggled to get over there. The operator must’ve been protected when Mizar was putting the shield spells up, because unlike the rest of the library, it remained pretty much untouched.
the enormous creature sat down patiently, watching Alcor try to work the portal. That clever little trick seemed to have convinced it that Sun had won this particular battle…
which was a bit strange, considering that most Witherstorms did NOT know when to quit and would take down an entire dimension with themselves, or at least try to.

Well, what did he expect from a being of pure destruction? The dragon shrieked, the sizzling wound on its neck still slowly repairing itself. It started pacing the other side of the room, waiting for the terrified little Sun to do something.
as its parent had once said; inaction is still action.
The beast wanted to see how Alcor would try to solve this dilemma… it half expected him to stay there until his battery ran out. Adorable, how attached to his captor he was.
The longer the dragon stayed here, the more the library got systematically destroyed… floating rubble, broken gear bridges… if Mizar survived this, he’d have a hell of a lot of work cut out for him.
There’s a dragon in the library.

The beast looked up from its current antics, giving a low growl at the sound of Mizar’s voice. Those cat-like slits stared unblinkingly at him for a good long minute. If looks could kill…
The nervous little Sun animatronic didn’t seem too keen on leaving the false god’s side, even going so far as to directly disobey him to make sure this… thing didn’t go near the armless bot. It was a little frustrating… especially with the freaking sparkle-bombs Alcor had…
The dragon thumped its tail on the ground, another growl echoing through the room. It wanted Alcor out of there. It was only a matter of time.
he couldn’t carry the bombs and drag Mizar out at the same time, after all.
There’s a dragon in the library.

As those two were talking, the dragon was busy rolling in rubble and trying to get debris stuck under its scales. It was… a strange way of dealing with the acidic wound, but for some strange reason, it was doing it.
upon closer inspection, it looked as if the enormous beast was trying to absorb as much rubble as it could from the wound, which was starting to heal at a very slow, but noticeable pace. As stuff melded into its scales and flesh, the creature repaired itself.
it was most certainly trained to do that; the previous Witherstorm didn’t have nearly as much awareness of its wounds.
Kind of concerning…

#Oh yeah the dragon doesn’t like the idea of hurting any variation of Sun unless Darksun actively tells it to do so#which is probably the only thing saving Lord Mizar’s ass rn lol

The dragon let out a confused chirp, before yawning and leaving the window.
it would let those two figure out what to do with the arm on their own.
The dragon sticks its enormous head through the window, before hacking up what looked like a furball?
nope… that is an arm. That is an Eclipse’s arm.

Oh good their teeth regrow-
the enormous creature face an apologetic screech, trying to sniff the fallen tooth plates. How could it have known its fellow bot-eater didn’t have the right adaptations to eat stronger bots?

What on earth… the Bloodbeings had dropped their teeth?
could they just do that? What was going on? The dragon had seen them eating arms before, this shouldn’t be any different…
was it… spicy?

The beast had been about to bite into the false god once more when the strange orb hit it. The sparkly thing had hit it square in the neck, and it screeched in agony as the thing started dissolving its scales like baking soda in vinegar. Whatever the hell Alcor threw at it, it clearly got the message.
the beast once again locked eyes with the Sun animatronic, slowly backing away from Mizar. It looked as if it had expected some sort of attack, just not this one. There was another soft growl, before the dragon spread its wings and flew to the other side of the library to lick its wounds.
no retaliation, just that strange look it gave him.
why on earth didn’t it attack?

The dragon tilted its head, before biting the arm it had coughed up, playfully yanking it.
ohhhhh, if that Lord Eclipse could see his arm now… rendered a tug-of-war plaything.
Oof.

The dragon sneezed, shaking its head. It didn’t look like the Eclipsebeing’s arm…
it had gotten it while fighting some random Lord Eclipse, as well as a scar under its chin…
it roawed in glee, nudging the Lord Eclipse arm towards the two.
wait a goddamn second that was Mizar’s arm-

As stated before, this clearly was not Alcor. The dragon gently batted at the Sun Model, giving off curious ‘rrr’s and just letting the little thing assume it was like a giant cat. The Ruin had a much more… typical reaction to seeing a giant dragon, but it could figure out what to do with that one later.
right now it was just busy toying with Rays over here.
I wanna see how this goes-
here! A Servant Sun and his Emotional Support Ruin!
@died-and-revived-multiple-times
The enormous creature growled at the anon. It was in the middle of a nap! Couldn’t this-
…oh, a Sun model? Alongside a Ruin? The dragon’s eyes dialated, a curious chirp escaping its throat. It’s been a while since an anon had dropped off new beings…
they looked to be from one of the Lord Eclipse dimensions… though this clearly wasn’t Mizar’s Sun. Mizar didn’t have a Ruin, either, and these two were a pair…
huh.

The huge beast was still scratching at the poleaxe stuck in it chin, finally managing to get the thing out and watching as it dropped to the floor, blade dulled by the dragon’s natural instinct to try and absorb it like the floating scattered rubble. A few drops of blood splattered to the already-destroyed floor, draining into the concrete like a sponge, staining the floor.
that pine-sap smell was back… did the Eclipsebeing call for backup? Or maybe something else for it to focus on while he tried to heal his wounds? The dragon sniffed the air, pawing towards the scent in curiosity. Why would he call his Sun back?
a soft growl, it spotted him. Several glowing orbs in a sack… so looks like Mizar was trying to have him bring some sort of weapon… it lowered its head, eyes narrowing, before turning back to Mizar.
Almost playfully, it used its talons to flick Alcor, knocking him over. This was between it and the false god.
It stalked closer to the wounded animatronic, a deep indigo buildup of inverted energy surging as it drew closer.

The dragon apparently prepared for this, having dangled the somewhat-painful splinter of a weapon just out of Mizar’s reach the entire time it was pacing around like an angler fish.
As soon as Mizar worked up the strength to leap for the poleaxe, the dragon quite conveniently lowered its head in a snarl, snapping at the false god with the force of a crocodile on steroids. It managed to grab him just above the shoulder, two very different kinds of pain running through his body.
other than the obvious fact that his arm was probably broken and several hundred daggers were being driven into his shoulder-blade, there was a horrible, weakening sensation, sending aches through his core. Mizar could feel power draining from him as the beast shook his body around like a plaything.
he felt almost as he did when he was just Eclipse…
Unfortunately, his arm finally gave out, a good chunk of his shoulder tearing away in a sputter of fire and ichor, the limb itself gnawed to bits by the Witherstorm that now had room to fly in the library. The effect it gave him… it didn’t go away immediately. It was refusing to leave him…
the thing landed only a few meters away, pawing at the poleaxe still stuck in its chin. It was itchy….
