The snow fell in thick, delicate flakes, blanketing the world in a serene hush. The air was crisp, each breath visible as it escaped your lips, and the quiet was almost magical.

You and Bucky had spent the day inside, sipping hot cocoa and talking about everything and nothing at all. But now, with the winter sunlight fading, the two of you decided to walk through the park just outside the compound.

Bucky had insisted on going, though you could tell he wasn't used to the cold. He wrapped his thick jacket tighter around himself, but his soft smile never faltered. He had this way about him—stoic and strong, yet gentle when it mattered most. You found comfort in his presence, even if you didn't say much. There was something about him that made the world feel right again, as if, for once, you didn't have to think so much.

The two of you walked side by side through the park, the trees bare but still beautiful against the white canvas of snow. His boots crunched with each step, and you couldn't help but chuckle at how peaceful it was. For a small moment, the weight of the world faded away from your thoughts, and it was just you and him, surrounded by the quiet of the falling snow, the general New York sounds fading off into the background, a small chatter in your moment together.

You smirked lightly to yourself as a thought crossed your mind, playful and mischievous. Scooping up a handful of snow, you formed it into the perfect snowball, tossing it in his direction without a word, the snow hitting his shoulder.

Bucky whipped his head around to you, his eyes widening slightly in surprise. You could just see the edge of his lips curl up in a small smile. The glimmer of mischief in his eyes was unmistakable.

"Really, doll?" He chuckled, his voice low and playful "You're in for it now."

Before you could react, he lunged toward you with a laugh, determined to catch you. You sprinted, weaving through the snow-covered path, your heart racing. You could hear his footsteps growing louder behind you as he closed the distance between you. The chase felt exhilarating, the cold air filling your lungs, and you didn't have a care in the world for a brief moment.

Then, in the blink of an eye, your feet slipped on the icy ground, and you tumbled backwards into the snow.

A muffled yelp escaped your lips, but before you could fully process the fall, Bucky was on top of you, his strong arms catching you mid-air and bringing you to the ground.

For a few seconds, you were both still, breathless from the fall and the chase. His chest pressed against yours, his face inches from yours, his breath warm against the cold air. The world around you seemed to stop as if time held its breath.

And then, there it was—the soft, undeniable tension you had been feeling for what felt like ages—the unspoken bond, the way his eyes lingered just a little too long, the quiet moments that made you both hold your breath.

Bucky's gaze softened, his lips parting slightly as his chest rose and fell with each breath. You could feel the heat of his body against yours, and your heart skipped a beat. You'd never realized how close he was—how much you wanted this, wanted him, until now. He didn't need to say anything; the longing in his eyes said it all. Slowly, as if savouring the moment, he leaned down, his lips brushing against yours in a tentative, gentle kiss.

At first, it was soft, like the kiss of winter itself—gentle, fragile, and delicate. But soon, it deepened, both of you finally giving in to the feelings that had simmered beneath the surface for so long. Bucky's hand cupped your cheek, and you tangled your fingers in his hair, pulling him closer as if you couldn't get enough of him.

When you finally pulled back for air, your forehead rested against his, both chuckling in disbelief.

"I—" Bucky started, his voice rough but filled with something you couldn't quite name. "I've wanted that for so long."

You smiled, your heart fluttering. "Me too."

For a long moment, you both just stayed in the snow, tangled up in each other. The world seemed far away, and all that mattered was the feeling of his arms around you, the warmth of his lips against yours, and the promise that, for once, you didn't have to be afraid of the feelings that had always been there.

And in that perfect moment, with the snow falling gently around you, you knew this was only the beginning.

Sometimes I have no ideas too or unfortunately, I don't have motivation. But recently I got some ideas for Bucky Barnes and post them as little "imagines".
