i love how the conservative argument against HRT and gender affirming surgery is that it’s “mutilation of underage children, and it causes more harm than good” and they want to “protect our kids. well, actually, no one (to my knowledge) under 18 can’t even get bottom surgery. your argument is literally the antithesis to what your argument actually is. “protect the kids from mutilation, and from pedophile drag queens!” well surprise surprise, your little goons with armalite rifles and shit are actually the ones traumatizing your “children” not that you care. back to the topic of being trans in 2023, especially a young trans KID. most kids who are trans, have to hide themselves at home, and out in public, in fear if being abused or killed. if you want to protect our children, don’t make our suicide and homicide cases double or triple, make them fucking safe. trans women, men, and our non-binary folks are our brothers, sisters, and family. we are all in the same world, and family. we are everywhere. we can not be stopped. we are not here to transition just to go into a women’s bathroom and do whatever we want. it’s a BATHROOM. if you were worried about a man entering a woman’s bathroom, let a trans man use the men’s. have a trans woman use the women’s. cis men have gone into women’s restrooms before and have done things these women are worried about. anyways, this is getting too long, but moral of the story, if you trans, you’re awesome. we’re with you
